I was born and raised in WV. I now live just across the state line in VA. I know what many people think of us "hillbillys". I am proud to be from Wild, Wonderful, West Virginia!

I'm a cheesehead hillbilly!
Born in WI, and now live in NC. I've definitely got the best of both worlds!
Not typical hillbilly
Most of us were taught to say yes ma'am and no ma'am, don't speak to your elders unless spoken to and then they were Mr. or Mrs. so and so, never first name. But I'm from the older generation and things have changed an awful lot. Sad.
Has anyone seen the Hillbilly Housewife sit?

This is kind of a neat little site that has lots of ideas about really inexpensive cooking ideas and different ideas to live frugally. The thread below about the laundry detergent made me think you all might like this site if you haven't seen it before.
I've been called a cheesehead
many times because I'm from Wisconsin and that makes me proud. I'm proud of my hometown and my state and it does not offend me at all, in fact, I'm very willing to share anything about where I came from. My family is German and we mostly eat meat and potatoes kinds of dishes from the midwest and I love it! If anyone asked me about it I wouldn't be offended in the least.
Love my packers and my cheesehead! sm
I live in Ohio and have all my life, but I love my Packers!! I am 36 y/o and have been a packer fan since I was five. I grew up with 4 brothers and we always had football on the TV on Sunday and everybody had a team to cheer on. I have tons of "cheese" stuff and love it!! GO PACKERS--ALL THE WAY TO THE BOWL!!!!
