so they can be used in another room?

The fabric will determine whether they can be dyed or not. If it is synthetic, even a partial synthetic, then regular dye (like Rit) will not "take" very well. It is possible that there may be industrial dyes that will work, but that could get expensive.

Have you talked to whoever made the draperies for you originally? That might be the best place to start.

My sympathies...your daughter must be at or nearing her teens. Been there, done that (with a son).

is what it comes out to, but I fiddled with the recipe (not tried making it yet though) and got it down to 241 calories -- I'll try it tomorrow and see how it is

Ingredients (modified from 777 calories to 241 calories)

2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour + 2 Tablespoons whole wheat flour
Splenda equivalent to 4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons 1% milk
3 Tablespoons applesauce
A small splash of vanilla extract
