When you go to an orthopedic doctor, the first thing the receptionist asks is whether he was hurt on the job (or whether somebody else is at fault). They have to know if payment is going to be held up. So shouldn't WC have known all about this from the first filing at the orthopedist's office? I thought that's how it worked.

I'm sorry your husband is having so much trouble. My DH had to have cervical spine surgery. He had spinal stenosis and a ruptured disk. From all I read, you really want to try to have the surgery within 6 months of the injury for fullest recovery.

At this point you are just going to have to be persistent to get things moving.
