Considering I don't live where we are bound to get a blizzard, let alone snow or temps below 40 or so, I doubt I'll have any issues.
Plus, I make sure my car is well taken care of so as not to have a break down. (In fact, in my 27+ years of driving, I've never had so much as a flat tire on any of my cars.) It's called being prepared and making sure your AAA membership is paid up if needed.

Boy are we getting hit with a blizzard!
There is already about a foot of snow here near Albany NY with no signs of stopping and I'm still in my bathrobe!
so let me get this straight. If there were a blizzard outside (sm)
and you have to go to the store (or anywhere for that matter) you're going to bundle YOURSELF up in your nice warm coat and let your daughter go with NO coat simply on the basis of principle??? And a FOUR-year-old sent off with NO LUNCH simply because they forgot it?? That is totally unbelievable and uncalled for. There's a fine line between stating a point and neglecting your children and I think you'ved crossed it!!
In Atlanta in the 80s, blizzard
here, nothing running, things closed down, a real mess
Give it a few days. They may be away, have an emergency, blizzard, etc. nm

Blizzard-like conditions here in Indiana. Level II. SM
Level II means no cars on road unless absolutely necessary. My son was sent home from work. Calling for 8-10 inches of snow. It's the blowing snow that is dangerous.
Weatherman just said we could espect "drifts of many feet" from the approaching blizzard. sm
Being an MT, you can probably imagine the visual image that produced.
