Anyone have a recipe for shrimp scampi?
Thanks!!
Grilled rib steak, shrimp scampi, asparagus and green salad...
I'm getting hungry just seeing the steaks marinating, lol!

I'm very blessed...my SO is a gourmet cook. We rarely eat out because what he can prepare at home tastes much better than anything we could get at a restaurant and costs half as much to prepare.

Geez, it's only 1 o'clock...hope the time passes quickly til dinner!!!
Another frozen dinner. ( I don't cook.)
:)
scratch and sniff cat food labels...
so sick of Picky Pete!  this kind?, this kind?, this kind? -- three a day is my limit of trying to guess his mood...
Can someone tell me how to cook it? Breakfast food, right?

I was referencing the all-you-can-eat shrimp..LOL

My original cholesterol question was referencing your post above that regarding Las Vegas' never-ending shrimp....*lol*

However, I am glad your cholesterol is good!!  I rarely eat meat and I run a higher cholesterol (though still love meat occasionally), think it's familial, had a 90-pound aunt who ran a 300 cholesterol her entire life (lived until she was 82)....

VIVA LAS VEGAS!!!!!!!!!

Never would I declaw but I have the scratch
boards, several, in the same room and of course they are going for the couches. They have killed my favorite fabric chair but can get another 1 really cheapo off Craigs List but the leather? The bad thing is when they are doing their thing apparently is at night when I am sound asleep. I will take the advice in mind though and get my water bottle ready and practice my loudest HEY!!
Scratch up at least half of what you owe - sm
(all of it if you can) go on a road trip to see him, 2-day drive or so if I read it correctly (or remember correctly), pay the ex off/get up to date on CS then stay a week or two, at least show your son that you want to see him and not just sitting back waiting for him to come to you when your ex decides it fits his schedule or is okay. Obviously find out if your ex has anything planned for the time you plan to go then just show up, I would not aprise anyone to your plans, just go. Even if he screws you over at least your son will see that you really, really wanted to see him and tried everything to accomplish it. This will make your ex look like a real schmuck if he does not let your son see you while you are visiting. Good luck.
I love their popcorn shrimp too! sm
We got it for the first time last month. Yum! We also like the tamales and mexican pizza. It is a little expensive for us, but it is nice to have something good in the freezer when we are busy. We live in the country so we buy ice cream in the summer from them because if we buy it in town, it is usually halfway melted by the time we get it home. We also get the pre-cooked sausage links every month. We spend about $50 a month and could easily spend $100! Sometimes I wish he would stop coming!
angelina. steak or shrimp?

I had a tubal with my second c-section sm

i had a c-section with my second baby and while he was in there i told him to do a tubal. he cut and cauterized my tubes.  i haven't had any problems since, that's been almost 6 years ago.  when i'm ovulating, i do have some pain on my left.  i don't know if that's due to the tubal, but i don't regret getting it done.  good luck!

I also had a tubal during a C-section
I healed up OK, but have very painful cramps every month ever since.  Other people who have had tubals have told me its a very common experience - nobody mentioned it prior to my decision.  I'm talking 10 years of such awful pain I could not work during my monthlies without serious pain killers - worked my way up through every strength of ibuprofen, scrips included, until finally was prescribed a psychotropic drug that turned me into a happy zombie that barely noticed the pain.  Finally around the 11th year the pain has slacked off enough I can get by on 2 regular strength ibuprofen every 4 hours, as long as I'm very careful not to get much strenuous exercise during my period - that brings back flareups of mega-pain.  I had no warning in advance this was a supposedly common result of a tubal so I wanted to warn you to ask around and talk to as many people as you can that have had tubals and see if debilitating cramps have been their experience.  Good luck in whatever you decide.
I also had my tubal after my second C-section
And it was incredibly painful. It took me way longer to recuperate from having both of them done at the same time. After my husband saw how bad it was for me he had second thoughts about me having the tubal. Even months after I still had slight stabs of pain in the area.
Some kind of shrimp and rice casserole.
Saw the recipe in Southern Living and will try it tonight.
I don't use Jiffy. I do mine from scratch. nm
s
This is not a specific section of the country
Born in the south, raised and living in the south and always told and taught how to send thank you notes, tried to teach my children, 1 does and 1 does not but they are grown now. I went to wedding in California, no thank you note per se but tacky printed generic note which I wish now I had not taken the time to shop for a gift I thought very nice. Happens everywhere....
Guess that explains once when I was enjoying peel your own shrimp
outside on a restaurant deck, one of those crazy birds flew down and took one right off my plate! We all ducked for cover. It really was funny though. LOL. Those nasty brazen little things. Now I don't feed them anymore.
Hopefully you use an expander, and aren't typing it all from scratch? NM

Ol' Charlie the Tuna was in the fish section.
I used to have a Charlie the Tuna watch when I was a kid, and so when I saw him there I snatched him up!

I still think you're ahead of me, I STILL can't figure out how to get the smileys in my posts!!

Oh, I see now you got it to work! Now you ARE ahead of me!
Know how you feel, I scratch my back on doors or corners (sm)
rubbing up against them like an old cow on a tree or post. Maybe I ought to check into finding one of those too. Though my family enjoys laughing at my unusual gyrations.
Baking bread from scratch is hard work, sm
especially for people like us who abuse their hands working. Kneading bread is exhausting!

I have a bread machine and love it. It allows for both bread mixes and scratch ingredients. The bread tastes delicious, too.

I agree; that isn't feasable cuz they can't be born at the same minute, even with C-section it
;
Hey, J, check out today's Parade section in the paper (sm)
It's by Jeff Foxworthy on why "real men" barbecue.  Because of the danger - LOL - and I bet they do it with their wife beater T's on too!!  YOU ARE HYSTERICAL!
I totally understand your point but people saying itch when they mean scratch
.
Look in the local freebies section of the paper or Craig's list
Sometimes a stove is free or really cheap.  Look to see if anyone has one listed under appliances.  Next, get a CAT!  I have one who loves to mouse.  He started when he was just a couple months old.  He would rather catch mice than anything else in the world.  I have never had a mice problem and I live in the country.  Now the only thing is they're very proud of themselves when they do catch one and like to share it with those they love!
Might try valerian root capsules or 5HTP or melatonin, in vitamin section

But most have a little pull-down cover over that section to keep the temp consistent when door opene

It's nice, but food prices insane and food is really bad,

Most larger wine stores have a whole organic/vegetarian section of wines. Good stuff! nm

Like a frozen margarita. nm

frozen eggs
You can buy frozen egg/biscuit sandwiches in the frozen section of the grocery store (think Jimmy Dean brand)which you can then microwave, so I would assume you could make your own. The worst that could happen is do a trial run of 1 and see how it turns out. Great idea for the kids, not to mention cheaper if you make them yourself. Never thought of it, but may try it for myself! I make my own mini-TV dinners out of leftovers and freeze them and then microwave them which is another good idea in my mind.
frozen eggs
You can freeze eggs but they tend to get a little rubbery.  Scambled eggs are better to freeze than fried eggs though, don't get rubbery.  And eggs you cook yourself and freeze are different than the eggs you get on breakfast sandiwches you buy at the store in the freezer section.  Good luck.  Just thought I would share this with you.  My husband is a chef, went to culinary school and all.
I have never frozen spinach myself...
but you can buy frozen spinach, it's cooked first and then when you 'cook' it you are thawing it/reheating it.

As for mushrooms, I sautee them first then freeze.

HTH
can milk be frozen?
and still be good to drink?
Don't do frozen. We get the "family"
size from Papa Murphy's.
can cubed cheese be frozen?

I have a big cheese platter left over from a party this weekend.  It consists various cubed cheeses.  Did anyone ever freeze cheese?

Thanks

Buy frozen cocktail meatballs and
cook with a can of jellied cranberry sauce and a bottle of chili sauce. Combine the 2 sauces and heat until smooth, then add the meatballs and cook until they are hot.
Never buy frozen pizza from the store
I have never found one that does not taste like eating a piece of cardboard. I have a Johnny's Pizza probably as close as the nearest store and my goodness, what terrific pizza but I also love my pepperoni and green olive stromboli. Yum, yum.
My cat only eats dog food and won't eat cat food or even tuna.
LOL
I am using Angel Food Network for help with food (sm)
Being much more careful not to waste food. No more fast food. Soda only if bought in a two-liter bottle, not singles or fountain. Most of my money waste was spent on food.

And now there's a #4, her late husband's frozen sperm!

Taquitos (the frozen kind) & guacamole.

Whatever frozen dinner I can find in the freezer
(I don't cook).
Be careful using it with a frozen casserole. I bought
the casserole. It said to bake it on a cookie sheet, so I pulled out my stone. The stone broke into 3 pieces during cooking, so I learned never to do that again. I have 2, one is black because it has been used so much, but I love them. I just don't put anything frozen solid on them anymore, including biscuits. I am probably paranoid, but after the first one I have broke like that, I feel it is just better safe than sorry.
I've used frozen dough for pizzas sm

You could make pepperoni rolls, hot ham and cheese sandwiches.  You could really come up with any combination for a sandwich idea.  I bet the bread will be fine if you combine it with other flavors.  Maybe even baking them as usual but first brushing with butter and maybe a little parm cheese or italian seasoning to make them more tasty.
