10-year-old autistic son
In addition to losing "privileges" (PS2, t.v., computer time, playing with friends), we have also begun making him write sentences. Started doing this when they implemented a daily behavior grading system, and the number of sentences for school behavior problems is based on that grade, so he knows what to expect based on what he received for his behavior grade at school (and not just daily, but if he has a bad behavior grade two days in a row, etc.). We now use it for home behavior problems too.

Never thought he would like anything less than losing the PS2 privileges, but this is it :) . . . but with him, it is always harder on us :(. However, like another poster said, gotta be consistent.
I think my calico is autistic. Or maybe psychotic....
she's a very *challenging* little girl! (Are all calicos that way?)
She's mentally ill and someone has her SM
under their control. I'm not really following closely, so don't know all details, but reminds me of Brian Wilson who was controlled by looney tune psychiatrist for many years. At least that guy kept him isolated and I wish someone would do same with Britney, although she IS sick.
She is mentally ill. I don't pretend to know exactly, SM
but it seemed to manifest itself after the birth of her children, leading some to think it was postpartum depression.

Do you think a truly mentally competent person -
would have done to this country, it's worldwide reputation, and it's people what he's managed to do in the last 8 years? And now it looks like he intends to even more damage in his remaining 7 months in office.
I'v always been language-challenged
:) but that's good to know and think about!
this should be challenged in court
This is NOT a communicable disease and should NOT be mandatory. What about possible side effects, what about 20 years down the line when they discover it caused a new problem. No. It is wrong to make this mandatory. This regards one's personal health decisions, for their CHILD no less. What next?
I am directionally challenged -
I consider Fleming County east - but I guess if you are in the more northern part close to Maysville that would be north.  My daughter is a Pharm.D. - took a job in Maysville and hated it.  I always thought that would be a great town to live in - but too small for her.  Son-in-law and family are in Covington.
Ok, my big boy cat is weight challenged
I refuse to hurt his feeling and say (fat)around him so let's just keep at weight challenged. Took him to the vet today as noticed his coat was not shiny like his brothers and he was so big wanted to see if possible diabetes or thyroid and could go from there. He, his lighter-weight brother and younger half sister have all been grazers. I keep the food bowls full in the day with wet and dry food when I went to bed, treats thru the day. Well, good times are up and now vet says labs ok and wants to get him on diet. Vet has said 2x a day 1/3rd cup of food and maybe 2 little pieces of the dry food as a treat. He is 4 years old and 23 lbs. He is a BIGGGG boy. Anyone else out there who has had to put their furries on diets and how did yours turn out?
this person sounds mentally ill....you sound
nm
My ex-husband is mentally ill. I've tried to involve him in this situation... SM

but he was so agitated and manic, he just made matters worse.  My son basically will not speak to his father.  He has no respect for him because he's mentally unbalanced and has never held a job for longer than three months in his life.  My son basically told his father in a fit of rage of the weekend that he hated him, wished I would have left his dad the day after he was born, and that his father had never taken care of him or been there for him his whole life.  Sad thing is, my son is absolutely right.  My ex never has done anything for either of us and that's why I'm not with him anymore.  I became my ex's caretaker and he became like another child to me.

I've had my step-dad talk to my son because that's about the only man in my son's life that he respects.  I'm just not surrounded by a lot of good men, ya know?

I am soooo decorating challenged and need help. I want to put some color

on my bedrom walls, I'm thinking a light sage color.  If I paint the walls the sage color, does the ceiling get painted the same or an off/white?  If I paint the ceiling the same color as the walls wont the room feel much smaller and "cave" like?  I have comforter with olive, sage, dark brown colors.  Average size room with windows on 2 walls so there will be light coming in.

Thanks for your ideas.

With my luck, my "weight challenged" cat would eat the ball!
LOL!
Sure she is mentally ill and I am sure all the drugs and the drug-laced lollipops didn't help!
x
Agree...and the gang mentality thing is often quick to surface when challenged. Ignore these
