Went to San Francisco (sm)
Went with my husband for a business trip - He spent 90% of his time in meetings and I went sightseeing by myself. Went on some day trips with people from all over. Met people from England, a woman from Germany, and a couple from my own state. I had the best time I have ever had! It is the only time I have ever done anything like that by myself and it was WONDERFUL! I highly encourage everyone to try it at least once! One day I will go somewhere completely by myself. You can go and see whatever you want, talk to people you don't know, and have a ball!
Maybe not in the midwest, but in San Francisco,
x
It's ALWAYS a nice day in San Francisco!

I once saw a panhandler in San Francisco - sm
finish up for the day, walk over to his new Volvo, get in and drive away. Most likely to his cushy place up in Pacific Heights or Russian Hill.
Another one once had a 'need work' sign. So a friend of mine who needed a worker stopped & offered him a job. Turns out the guy didn't really want to work. He just wanted free money.
No snow today in San Francisco! :D
.
I've done that twice, both times to San Francisco. sm
Once in the mid ྂs and once in the mid ྌs, for about a year each time (I'd probably still be there if it weren't such an expensive place to live).
However, despite our winters with the blizzards and the weeks and weeks of well-below-zero temps, and mosquitoes in the summer that are large enough to carry off small dogs, I've put down my roots now and bought a house here in Podunk, so I'm thoroughly planted.
I believe BP is a chain of gas stations, like AM/PM, 7-11 etc..
I could be wrong..I'd give the gift anyway. Nascar people love to collect older stuff too...
Rice-A-Roni, the San Francisco treat!
Local news stations
often have a person who gets on the side of a consumer with a problem. Funny how putting the company on the news gets them to resolve issues quickly.
If you try to handle it yourself by taking stuff, the law won't be on your side no matter what.
We are having difficulty locating gas stations that actually have gas here - sm
This has been the case since last Friday. We paid $4.69 a gallon for regular gas on Saturday after passing a half dozen stations with none at all. How is everyone else faring with the lack of supply since the hurricane?
I'm in San Francisco - 63 degrees, sunny, light wind. nm

Checking on the biggest news stations
none are carrying that story so I would think they would have a person right at the spot, like they always do.
In my area it's all the 7-11 stores, motels, & some gas stations.
They also are buying up a lot of the apartment buildings around here, too.
:(
ioops - meant channels, not stations LOL
One year 2 of our local radio stations, a
hard rock and the country music stations, switched studios and were broadcasting on each other's frequencies.
I did read some stations not carrying the program
so perhaps offensive in some things? I did not watch. I think Sharon probably looks the best of all the family.
She's over 100 miles from stations, she prob does need rooftop antenna sm
With digital TV, it's an all or nothing thing. If the signal is not good enough, you will not get anything, but if you have even a little bit of signal, you will get a clear picture. Where I live is probably 50 miles from the stations, and even though I got 80% of the channels before the switch, I now only get one with the converter box and the same rabbit ears I was using before the switch. I went to antennaweb.org and put in my address, and it showed that I need an outside antenna to bring in the signals consistently.
