Ask your religious leader what he thinks about

The dog needs a leader and
one way to become the pack leader is to watch Cesar at work on his show, The Dog Whisperer. There is nothing wrong with using a crate. Dogs are denning animals and this offers security. You don't beat the dog until he goes in; instead, you reward the dog with a special toy or chew (like a Kong full of some sort of food). To reduce calories, you can make dinner smaller and give part of the kibble inside the Kong mixed with something sticky. She needs to have rules that reinforce her position as leader. The puppy needs to stay off beds and couch and people. Affection is held until the puppy is acting calm and relaxed. Cesar has books as well as a show. If other people live with the woman, everybody has to cooperate. It takes a lot of educating of an owner. It is hard not to act all crazy around the dog and get them reved up, but it takes self-discipline to remain calm and show leadership, not shouting, when the puppy isn't acting calm and submissive.
Pack leader
Some dogs are very strong personalities and need to have a strong-minded person as an owner that has no doubt as to who is leader of the pack (and it should not be the dogs). If the dogs are dictating who is allowed in and out and who the territory belongs to, they are in charge and as you pointed out, it isn't the breed so much as the owner.
LOL - it's Cheney who is OUR LEADER...LOL
try gentle leader
You can also try using a product called Gentle Leader. It goes around the dog's head and is not considered cruel by pet trainers. The dog can open their mouth and function normally, but the idea is that it pulls in an unusual way and makes the dog keep their head up. My dog is just as frustrating as yours. They get used to the constant pulling at their neck and think it is normal. Retraining was too hard and frustrating for me so I used this product that was recommended by a dog trainer at Petsmart. Although he is still kind of a pain, I don't have near the amount of trouble walking my dog anymore. I just keep him on a short leash at the beginning of the walk and close to my side until he calms down from the excitement. When he behaves he gets more leash. When he is naughty and pulling he gets about a foot of leash. It works well for us.
Do you think the ONE world leader has been born yet? If so, who.

My daughter's Girl Scout leader
won't let them go door to door to sell. I do let her go to our friends/neighbors on the street, but just to the surrounding friends and no further. It's awful that they can't go door to door anymore, but way too dangerous.
After 11 yrs as a boy scout leader, I've seen all sorts of situations.
And, I've had to deal with my share of 11 yo bullies. (I have one in my troop now who is absolutely driving me up a wall.) I've learned a lot over the years. For one thing, I know that while it's possible to be a very good influence on a child, it's also likely that parents who are having issues can, in just a moment, un-do any positive influence you've had on a child. I've also seen kids come back years later after I thought I had made no headway with them. They've come back to thank me for showing them patience and kindness and a better way to act. And, sadly, I've seen more than a few kids spin off out of control, right to the point of their own death.
Firstly, you have to think of your own child's safety, of course. If you can band with other parents in your neighborhood to provide supervision while this bully is around, that would be a great help. Agree on play areas, who is and is not allowed to be in the play area, be patient and teach the children general rules of good behavior. When the rules are violated, then there are consequences. If the bully cannot behave, especially if he's being dangerous. If you feel that he and the other children in his household are not being properly supervised or cared for at home, then call the authorities.
The other thing I've learned is to be very direct with problem children and parents, and to keep my emotions calm. No shouting, and always have an adult witness nearby. For many years, I would dance around direct language with parents, afraid that I might hurt their feelings. But that always leaves too much room for them to misunderstand what I really wanted. State exactly what you want the other person to know. "I have a problem with your child's behavior. I'm willing to help supervise, but only on these conditions." If the parent becomes argumentative or defensive, walk away and lock your door. Write down what you said and what happened. I don't want to scare you, but if there are questions later, accusations from the parent or child, you won't have to rely on your memory alone.
One can be patient and extend help to people who need it, but you don't have to put up with abuse, either. Use all of your resources -- other neighbors, authorities, your own talents, and do what you can, but be careful.
This is exactly why some of us are not religious ! LOL
I am quite content with my life the way it is, thank you :)
please get off your religious soapbox....SM
How DARE you infer that anyone who isn't *born again* isn't getting into heaven......You are insulting the black community and the Jewish and Muslim communities among MANY OTHERS.
Please get off your religious fanatic soapbox.............
FOR. I don't see them as a religious statement - sm
but rather, a statement of love for the person who died there, an expression of sadness that they were lost, and a little reminder to everyone else driving past it to back off on the throttle a little bit.
Actually, certain religious groups have to earn their
way to Heaven by "saving" people - getting them to hear the salvation message and be "born again"...They keep a tally, and believe that God keeps a tally, and first of all earn their place in heaven and then lots of bonus perks - some jewels in crowns, certain seats at the big old banquet table, positions of authority, etc. In particular, the Jehovahs' W group focuses on this. Poor things - they want us to believe that Heaven is for everyone, while they are busy earning bonus points - sort of like the old Green Stamp days, or earning frequent flyer miles! So, they don't care that they are obnoxious and in our faces - they believe this is what they have to do, and it has its perks in their sick minds. Poor things. And I believe this confrontational style in any religion turns away far more than it saves - even THE savior was meek and nonconfrontational - he never forced himself on anyone - but some just don't get it...though they will some day.
No MT, politics or religious posts here. NM

I'd still like a place to discuss religious
or nonreligious beliefs for those of us who are not Christian. I'm sure that is not allowed on the Gab board, which is okay, but where does one go then?
I love hearing other points of view if they are willing to hear mine, and that certainly goes for Christians as well.
Have you spoken with your religious advisor?
If you have one, you might want to try that route. It may be that because she was so well-behaved before that talking with someone she respects would make her realize how bad her behavior is. Kids at that age can be awful; I know I was. I never did drugs or drank, but I really resented my parents for always being on my back. I think with the situation she is in now, you need to stay a step ahead of her. Good luck. I'll be thinking of you.
No, not adherence to religious dogma at all (sm)
Christians believe that every person on Earth is a sinner, and for our sins to be forgiven, we believe that Jesus was and is God's son and that we can pray to God and tell him that we believe Jesus died for our sins. There is plenty of evidence to be found to show that Jesus was not just some nice guy or prophet who died on a cross. Believe me, I looked into it when I had doubts. As for adherence to religious dogma, if you study the teachings of Jesus himself, you will see that he was against those who clung too tightly to their religious beliefs, the Pharisees, who thought they were better than others. Jesus did not hang around ultra-religious pious people, but instead hung around those who were hated in their community, and caused quite a bit of gossip because of it. He stopped the stoning of a woman who was caught having unmarried sex with someone else's husband and said let he who is without sin cast the first stone. No one threw a stone. That is how it is supposed to be.
The hyper-religious phase
The world's hyper-religious phase is almost out of style, but it has been a long run don't you think?
I taught sunday school for years and I was considered not "religious enough." The next generations will not care for all the "in your face" stuff either.
All the same, you still have a lot to do to get down to two trucks and looks like DH is ready to leave yesterday! So I won't pray for you, but I will say get busy!
Religious conviction is a narrow road for some.
dd
Btw, wasnt thinkin of this from a religious standpoint
x
I disagree with that...Gab is for all but not for religious discussions I guess so (sm)
It would only be fair to give others who are non-Christian but want to discuss religion a forum to do so. The thing is I am a Christian but I love to hear others' points of view as well. But if we can't discuss that on Gab board, and can't discuss it on Christianity board because it would be offensive, then I guess we can't discuss it here at all?
There is a religious not hygenic reason for circumcision.
Like so many Jewish commandments, the brit milah is commonly perceived to be a hygienic measure; however the biblical text states the reason for this commandment quite clearly: circumcision is an outward physical sign of the eternal covenant between G-d and the Jewish people. It is also a sign that the Jewish people will be perpetuated through the circumcised man. The health benefits of this practice are merely incidental. It is worth noting, however, that circumcised males have a lower risk of certain cancers, and the sexual partners of circumcised males also have a lower risk of certain cancers.
The commandment is binding upon both the father of the child and the child himself. If a father does not have his son circumcised, the son is obligated to have himself circumcised as soon as he becomes an adult. A person who is uncircumcised suffers the penalty of kareit, spiritual excision; in other words, regardless of how good a Jew he is in all other ways, a man has no place in the World to Come if he is uncircumcised.
Religious difference between husband and wife?
I am Christian and interested in a guy who is Jewish. What are the pros and cons of marrying someone from other religion?
Give me a broader view of problems that can arise in a relationship when your spouse is from other religion in general and Christian/Jewish marriages in particular.
TIA.
adminstrator...can we have a religious political radical board until the election?...sm
so as not to disturb the rest of the flotsam and jetsam of the gab board? So far everyone has been reasonable... Cat
Am I the only one who thinks...
That it is wrong for the workers, who are contracted to put new vinyl on our home, I just caught washing themselves off after a hard 12-hour day of work in 100 degree weather, in our nice, sparkling, clean pool?!?!?!?!
I am furious. Now we are just renters, but I called the landlord and she is calling the company! Just wondering if Im being a germaphobe sp? ??
They also ripped our grill cover, Im assuming putting the ladder over the top of it instead of moving it.
The first day they came they were sitting on our vehicle waiting for us to come to the door?!?!?!
Not sure if this is rude or not where they are from, but seems like here in the US of A, its pretty darn rude and if they are going to be here, they need to act a little more considerate!
Thanks for listening to the venting!!
My cat thinks he's a dog
He chases his tail and it's so funny to watch. My other cat who recently died used to beg at the table like a dog whenever we ate. She'd give you a pathetic look and put her paws up on your chair.
Should be she thinks he is
slow- I know better.
and I suppose she thinks she is...
*the moral compass*??? Whatever...they're both a joke!
And I also heard a while back that Trump probably doesn't have any more *disposable cash* as the rest of us...his personal bank balance is average, just like ours! All his money is in property, real estate, *young wives* etc...
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
You have hurt his ego most likely, thinks that only he - sm
should be taking care of business, or else thinks the toy does too good a job and you will not want him. My DH and I have a few different toys, though we do not use them too much, use them more together than I do solo. As stated they can enhance the experience, try to show him that and use it together, or show him how to use it on you, but if that still freaks him out then I guess that is out and just keep it for yourself when he is not around. Mine would love it if I got more into them actually, just depends on the guy and how confident he is in himself I think.
Am I the only one that thinks this could be murder?
When her son died, Anna's mother went on TV and said that she thought he was murdered and said that she thought Anna was in danger. Now Anna is dead.
There are a lot of people who are now going to profit now that both of them are dead. The old billionaire's family now has a pretty good chance of keeping their money. So the billionaire's family could have paid to have them both killed. At the very least, they are saving millions in attorney fees.
If she does still have a claim to that money, her infant now is the sole heir to that, and the remaining parent stands to also get a huge part of that. Her lawyer/husband now will inherit everything if he really is the father. So, he could have killed them both for profit.
Then, there is the ex-boyfriend who wants his kid. He could have killed her off to try to get his kid back and get a stake in the billionaire's fortune also.
And all of them had to know that since she always slurs her speech and has problems with drugs and alcohol, the public could easily buy that it was an accident or suicide.
Does anyone else thinks this sounds
like a joke? What dude who is married comes on here and asks a bunch of chicks for advice about buying a house that he obviously cannot afford?
If this, in fact, is not a joke, then no, you cannot afford $2700 a month plus car expenses, food, baby expenses and all the other stuff on $75,000 a year!!!!
Another thing, those interest only loans are bad, bad, bad. They sound good in the beginning but in 5-10 years when you have to refinance, you are going to be in trouble.
Foreclosures are through the roof all throughout the country because of those silly loans. Just think about it.
Friend who thinks they know everything
I have a friend who is very opinionated and thinks she knows everything. A lot of people do not like her but I think we get along because I'm pretty laid back. Our kids take dance at the same place. My child just got asked to be on the competition team. Her child has been on it a couple of years. My kid missed one class because she was sick. This was just a regular class. They have not starting competition practice yet. I mentioned that she would be missing again this week because we are having dinner at nursing home with hubbys father who is 85 and is not able to come for Thanksgiving on the night of dance class. She then says to me if it were gymastics she would not miss. (She is a talented gymnast which she loves more than dance.) My friend then tells me it is not fair for the people who care. I guess meaning the parents who bring their kids to class. My child will only miss two classes, one because she was sick. She is usually always there. My friend got me so mad. I think it was her attitude more than anything. She never knows when to keep her opinions to herself and this is an ongoing thing with her no matter what the subject is. I swear she just likes to argue about anything. Do you think I am overreacting or would you be mad too?
Just wondering who thinks
Keira Knightley is pretty? Her face is plastered everywhere, but she always has her lip curled up in a snarl. Anybody else notice that? Does she every smile for pictures?
you don't know that for sure. He says he thinks he's an alcohol.

My DH just turned 70 - Thinks he is 40 ##
I am 69
Hush don't go imagining something!!
That seems to be what Simon thinks
and I agree they will probably do well. I think the guy in the red/orange suit - lol - will be going home. He was sort of terrible. David is it? The 17 year old. Just how much cuteness can one have? LOVE HIM! But I am just drooling over the guy that sang c'mon baby light my fire and oh yes I definitely would! Is he hot or what? lol. I can't wait to see the girls tonight. I just love this show.
I am the only one that thinks something is up with this story..
Things just don't add up..Fourteen years ago she was a virgin, first child is 14 years-old and she was 26 years old 14 years ago, which makes her 40, but later she states she is going on 43. She had a 1-1/2 year-old, 6-month-old and 8 months pregnant..hmmm. That makes her having gotten pregnant BEFORE the 6-month-old was born. Later, she is pregnant and they are 9 months and 1-1/2 years old. Then, she stated that her 12-year-old tonight (keyword here) had a fight with her dad but later this same child is 13, just turned, so I'm guessing on the same day? which is tonight. Just a lot of inconsistencies. I'm not sure why or how someone would make this up but I just find it odd. Maybe someone needs attention.
I swear he thinks he's a dog
He's constantly into everything, and is more curious than a cat! I plan on doing eventing with him, but I want to let him get nice and big before I start riding him! He's going to visit the vet as soon as it cools off a bit more though, he's started thinking with the wrong brain if you know what I mean!
I let him out into the front yard to eat grass a lot because we don't have a lot in the pasture and I think he gets tired of his round bale. Well a couple of weeks ago I had my truck loaded up with some rubbermaid boxes of stuff I was taking to the church and I came out the next morning and the lid was off of everyone and he had dug through EVERYTHING!
I love him though, he's my kid! I can't wait til I can get my other boy in with him, but he's still at my moms until we move somewhere with more land. This is a picture of him with my mom. I call him Danny Boy. He's a 17.2 hand warmblood. (My mom is 5Ǝ so you can see how big he is!)
what the kennel thinks
When I was a kid a spoiled dog got "Gainsburger"
Now the kennel I take my dog to thinks my dog is spoiled because she gets raw chicken.
I think it is all brainwashing by "experts" and I adamantly disagree about vast improvements in our food industry for humans or animals.
My son says he thinks Walmart
pizza is the very best, and he is my super picky eater. We get them often. The pepperoni is quite greasy but you can dab off the extra grease with a paper towel. If they have the canadian bacon thin crust, grab one and enjoy! I recommend those above all other flavors. Yum!
I don't give a hoot what anyone thinks.
My ex is black and I now have a beautiful biracial son.
Me thinks we have a bit of a snob here. BOO-HISS (sm)
nm cigarette in the mouth - not behind the ear, no beer in hand, no wife beater T. Yes, we really do have it going on. Live right on the lake and are happy as clams.
Me thinks you need to find some integrity. nm

DH thinks the Chlydesdale box was cooler than ever
Only he does not think it should be used for something the kids can tear up. He thinks we should use it for something else, maybe something to store blankets in or maybe his deer hunting gear. So I guess I did pretty well at that G-sale. I even bought Little Touch Leap Frog book with all the cartridges for $18
I think the kid is cooler than his father, who still thinks he
xx
in other words, he's saying what he thinks he should say in public.
nm
if he states he thinks he may be an alcoholic, he is asking for help

I don't really think Gene Simmons thinks he should
be fired from anything. I could not believe his arrogance. I was really glad that Donald got rid of him. I was sort of scared he might keep him just for ratings.
My SIL thinks it is hysterical when her children
make really loud remarks and start coughing aroung smokers. I think it is totally rude. I don't allow my children to do it cause I personally would never do it. You are so right about the fact that we don't openly criticize others for what we think are bad habits. It is your life, do what you want. Just wanted to share something that was funny, we went to a benefit dance last week for the American Cancer Society and I went outside to use my cell phone. I had to walk through all the smokers, and I laughingly said "Dear God, this is a cancer dance." Everyone laughed so I don't think anyone was offended and it truely was a joke. I don't like to be around cigarette smoke, but I also don't drink in front of certain people, so who am I to say anything?
Maybe Lee owns the company and she thinks
she is PERFECT? Who cares!
Dear Ms Thinks she is responsible
Truely funny how pitbull owners go on the defensive with what other dogs do. I am sure animal control knows how to be around and handle but even these people are attacked by these dogs. I rescue animals (not these as I want no responsibility for their acting out)but where I rescue these dogs are not adopted out, just put down. Even the people who are in the "know" so to speak do not want to be responsible.
Lucky and anyone who thinks differently

i love her. I want her to keep saying what she thinks forever. It is so refreshing. He is a pig.
