Another KSMT, thank you for the update.
Not a day goes by lately I don't think of what you're going through.
My old man, Arf, is 15 this year and in the last few months he's dropped all of his weight. Nothing but skin and bones. I'd take him to the vet but I know what the diagnosis at this age would be, so we're just riding it out. Getting him to eat has been a challenge, just like with all seniors. He really loves this stuff by Whiskas that comes in small pouches...select fish or something like that. It's gelatinous with little chunks of fish and he inhales it, which makes me very happy. He still actively hunts, sitting right under the bird feeders and I occasionally see him FLYING up in the air or running full speed ahead into the field after a chippy...and I know his teeth are good because a few times a week he leaves me a present of a decapitated chipmunk.
I always make sure he's in at night though...even if I have to go looking for him for hours on end, usually to find him sound asleep in the hay safe and sound. Yep, we do love our children and man, it sucks when life takes it course.

It hurts our hearts like heck but you did right by her. Take time to heal and remember all the joy she brought into your life. These little buggers do leave quite an impression on us, don't they? You take care of yourself and thank you for thinking of us through this most difficult time.
