It certainly is about education (sm)
I enjoy watching Cesar Millan's show. Pit bulls are one of his favorite dog types. His have wonderful personalities because Cesar understands them and how to communicate with dogs of any type, and especially those with a reputation for being difficult.

I recently saw a great episode about a man who was terrified of dogs. He'd been attacked by a dog in Mexico - a pit bull. Cesar taught him how to read what dogs were saying and how to broadcast calm leadership, even to a dog behind a fence many feet away from you. That man was very happy to overcome his fear, and Cesar was able to help his family adopt a dog from Cesar's pack that had the right energy for their lifestyle.
Education in America.....sm

I'm still shaking my head over this one, folks.  A member of our local school board, when asked about a child whose parents were told was failing all classes but in reality was only failing one said, "Well, a child can be behind their peers but still passing."

I don't know about you all, but in my day and time of growing up, if you had a C or higher average in a class you were passing and parents weren't told the child was failing.

The Education of Little Tree (sm)
I don't watch TV much, but found on a Google search and on Amazon

http://www.amazon.com/Education-Little-Tree-Forrest-Carter/dp/0826328091/ref=sr_1_3/102-4654440-8282531?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1194528822&sr=1-3

Education of Little Tree?
I did not see the View, but I do own this book and loved it. It supposedly was an autobiography by Forest Carter, but turns out he made the whole thing up, which ended up being a really disappointed me as I found the characters so real. I live in the mountains of WNC and am part Cherokee. Good to hear that your kids are into tribal life.
Education of Little Tree
GREAT BOOK!! I passed my book around to my friends and they all loved it too. My aunt even bought a couple as gifts to others. Easy read and very enjoyable.
Education on Pitbulls
Know the FACTS: visit http://www.thetruthaboutpitbulls.com/
According to the American Canine Temperament Testing Association 82.5% of the American Pitbull Terriers that took the temperament test passed, compared to a 77% passing rate for all breeds on average. Pitbulls have achieved the fourth highest passing rate of all 122 breeds tested.

Wait, you don't know about your husband's education???? WOW.
That's really strange to me. I knew where my husband went to school and what he went to school for the day I met him! I guess it just seems very strange to me that you don't seem to really know anything about his past. I just don't understand how 2 people can have a relationship and know practically nothing about each other.
Or better yet - how about we provide s*x education in school, sm
not just *abstinence* education, and we focus on the emotional aspects of having a physical relationship? Next, how about we de-sexualize advertising? When was the last time you could find modest clothing, not hootchie mamma stuff for your kids in the stores?
Time for another diabetes education class.
That's why most doctors send their diabetics to classes - because the rules have changed from their pre-diabetic days.

Parents DO NOT owe kids college education.
When DD started college we paid,,,, at first. But she did NOTHING to help herself.  From her part time job, all her money went to nails, clothes, meals out with friends, etc. She did nothing about getting scholarships. After 1st year, I said I wouldnt pay anything else. DH continued to help her. She did apply for scholarship thru DH work and got $2000. Of that money, she ended up dropping a class paid for with that money, cause it was too early (8:00am). Bottom line, she did nothing towards finishing school, in fact, quit going, did not increase work hours. I stopped giving her ANY money at that point.  She ended up marrying Marine boyfriend and is now working at Dollar Store. These were HER choices, instead of completing her teaching degree, of which she only had 2 years to go.  I told her why should I spend my hard earned money on her when she was doing absolutely nothing to help herself.  She knew if she was making an effort to her future I would help her, but not if she wasnt doing anything for herself.
I am not criticizing an individual here...

but I am criticizing a mentality.  Look at our public school system and the product it puts out.  Why is 98% quality required of us to hold our jobs but not our educators?

"U.S. fourth-graders are about on par with their international counterparts, but by the time they get to the 12th grade, they are in the lower 10% of the industrialized world in terms of math and science competency. This is something you wouldn't tolerate in any other situation. We fire football coaches after the first year of a losing record, but we continue to let the public school system take children and basically degrade them on a relative basis to their international counterparts."

I don't, but there are individual state
boards too, see State Boards right under Word Help.
It is pretty individual sm

I had the same August 29 of last year.  I was working on my second day home (not a full shift, but a couple of hours), taking all my vitamins, water and food with no problems since day one and following all of my doctor's orders.  I had minor pain, but mostly relieved with Tylenol after three days or so.

Then I see people who said they couldn't work for six weeks, even at a desk job, couldn't eat a thing and went to the hospital after four days for dehydration because they couldn't stomach more than five ounces of water a day.

Good luck and speedy recovery.

No, you don't. That is up to individual jurisdictions. Very few, if any, do that.
Just a TV/movie thing.
That is for the individual and his/her parents to...

decide.  Let's wait for the facts in this particular case.

You're right - it's up to the individual.
.
It is a matter of the individual.
For you, this might work whereas for others, it might not. My husband and I shared equally in the housework and raising of our children. It is a very individual thing and as long as it is a choice and not because "that's the way it should be", then of course it will work. We are all very different.
I buy little individual cans of OJ all the
time and they are in the frig quite a whiel before we drink them. Don't know why it wouldn't be as long, as poster said below, the expiration date has not come and gone.
Look at the individual school systems
nm
Well they do get rated up if they buy individual plans (nm)
x
well you are indeed lucky, my individual is 130 bi weekly
highway robbery. I really wish they would just make Medicaid available to anyone that wants it.
Individual health policies

Individual health insurance policies are a lot harder to get.  There is a lot more underwriting on them than there is on a group plan - it's why the group plan premiums are larger.  They have to take anyone that is a member of the group.

I was denied because I had been previously diagnosed with a low thyroid.  If you're overweight you probably will be denied.  If you previously have been diagnosed with almost anything, but especially high blood pressure, any sort of endocrine problem like thyroid or diabetes, chances are it will be difficult to get it.

If you want to go that route, your best bet would be to go to an actual agent that sells life insurance.  When it's an agent who is dealing with the company alot of times they can talk to the underwriters and the company and get it pushed through, which you can't do when you're just doing it online.

The answers to your questions are and there is coed sex education where I live, my goodness!
Yes I am female and yes I do have a female daughter. Again, what I really am saying is no way should you get an excuse for something that normal like a period, because IF all the females start having periods at the same time, no swimming. Sounds like making a mountain out of a mole hill. More important things to do with our time than club a teacher over the head when probably the kids that age talk about more sexual matters than a period. Kids are much more mature than these posting are giving them credit for and lots have had sex already by this age.
No. A free thinker, an individual, my own person.
x
But this is not a school-wide accepted teaching practice, it is individual (nm)
x
I saw some program the other day on TV where the

The TV program (can't remember the name) said the kids today in America have it pretty rough and so for one day a year, Halloween, let them have some fun....

Y'all don't need to be reading PAGANISM into this holiday for toddlers/little kids as I believe 90% of the trick-or-treaters do not come from Pagan families......

Give the little ones a break, please!

we are probably on different program...
I have very little problems with the program I use but we are not supposed to talk anything about MT work on the Gab board, per the rules, as I understand them.....
on what program?
nm
what email program are you using? nm
zzzz
Where do I enroll in that program?
Do they provide the class materials?????
Program for fleas
I have not heard of Program, but I use Frontline. I have not had NY problems with it. My vet charges $15 for it, but I can also get it at our local Humane Society for $10. With 4 cats, it adds up to quite a bit of money. You might want to try that.
Do you use an antivirus program? If so, what? sm

My McAfee ran out and I just wondered what you use.  I heard there are "free" antivirus programs you can download from the internet.  Anyone heard of that or tried it?

thanks

WW is a great program IMO (sm)
I lost 70 pounds on WW and have kept it off (up/down 10 depending on life). I believe this is one of the best programs because it gives you a very simple, almost subliminal, education about nutrition and allows you to eat just about anything in moderation.

Once one is emotionally and mentally ready to accept that lifestyle and dietary changes are necessary to lose weight (the biggest hurdle IMO), WW is really the smartest plan to follow. No fads, no prohibited food groups, etc.

I don't follow the plan currently, but what I learned and practiced for the 9 months it took me to lose 70 pounds (4 years ago), I'm pretty much programmed regarding portion control and how to undo the overdo... yeah... I'm in the process of undoing right now :-)

Good luck to you!!
Nursing program
I am 49 years old, have been an MT for 7 years and am thinking of going back to school for an RN degree.  Wonder what my chances of getting into the program are (I know there's always a waiting list, but of course that depends on the school one chooses too; I live in GA), and how long this all might take.....???  I made As and Bs in high school and aced the transcription program at a local 2-year technical college...................any thoughts?  Should I forget about it?  I don't want to be unreasonable, but having thoughts about doing something to make more money.  I have one child who is a senior in college and have 2 boys to put through college eventually, so more money sure would be nice.
good program
I used the program to sell my old house about 6 years ago. Now after 6 years in this house, definitely time to start up again because I am not thinned out from moving!

Just started again 2 months ago. I love how you start at the ceiling and work your way down to the floor, 15 minutes at a time. I love how my bathrooms are always "company clean" and my sink is shining. She is on youtube now and I used the holiday missions and it worked great for getting the christmas decorations put away! Can't say enough good things about it. I think they used to teach this stuff back in the old days for people who did not work outside of the home, but working inside of the home and not being able to keep the house clean was too frustrating! Baby steps work much better, like you said, so the dust quits calling my name!
In our area, there is a program called
"Mended Hearts".  I am not sure if this is nationwide, but there are volunteers that will come out who have had the surgery, and they talk about how far they've come.  Another option, I guess would be cardiac rehab, and I am wondering if that would lend some support as maybe he feels a little alone in his quest?  Best of luck and hope he finds his way soon.
Weight Watchers is the best program
You can eat what you would cook every day, but it is the portion control.  I used this program after having both of my children as I gained close to 100 pounds with each pregnancy (too much bread and butter).  I have now stabilized, but still watch my portions.  I do believe the water and exercise are a very, very important part of Weight Watchers.  I did not feel deprived from sweets because as the other poster stated, the point system took care of that.  If you know you will indulge, you simply cut back on one of your meals.  I had a husband and two children to care for, but I still lost weight eating the same food that I served them, I just controlled my own portions.  Hope this helps.  Weight Watchers gets my vote.
I'm trying to lose weight through the WW program
I started during the summer and kind of fell off of it. I'm trying to lose between 30-40 pounds. My daughter became a vegetarian about 4 months ago and she already lost 23 pounds. I like my meat so I won't go that route, but I'm trying to exercise a little bit every day and eat healthier. Good luck to you and everyone else trying to lose.
Fantastic! What a wonderful program that is. -nm

As part of an incentive program- sm
I get 12 cpl, but only after 1500 lines in one day, 11 cpl after 1000 lines. Believe me, it's incentive. It really starts to add up, but the best I've ever done is about 1980 lines in one day, once, a couple years ago. This week my goal is 1800, but it's turning out more like 1600.
I used the Medifast program. It worked wonderfully (sm)
I think the HMR is all liquid which is the difference with Medifast. With Medifast, you eat 5 of their meals (oatmeal, shakes, pudding, soup, or bars) and 1 meal you prepare of a protein and a vegetable. It was very easy to follow, I never felt hungry, and I lost over 60 pounds in 7 months. What I loved about this diet was I learned a whole lot about portion control.
if you work with Horizon program, please see message

I just started working with Horizon Radiology Manager program and having problems viewing my line count.  I was told by another MT that Java interfers with this program.  Does anyone else have problems with Horizon and Java?  I also have another job where I help out some and their program is Meditech and I think I need my java for that.

Thanks for any info.

Does anyone use Program flea meds for their pets? sm
I have three dogs and a cat that I was using a topical flea med on. We got a new puppy last week and she had fleas. I washed her and got rid of them, but now have noticed a couple of fleas on the other dogs. Not a lot, but some. I have heard that the Program works better than the topical stuff and would like to try it, but it is rather expensive so I am looking for any input before I buy it.  Thanks!!
Mine has a bachelors and applied for MS program (sm)
he is three years older so was about the same age as me when he was going to do this. Thinks its alright for him. Our marriage is already very rocky. I feel like rather than deciding whether to divorce or not right now I should further my education instead.
I have Avast antivirus program, and it's free also. - NM

Have you ever heard of the Weigh Down Diet program? sm
It's not really a diet. It is a matter of changing the way you eat, not what you eat. Feel free to e-mail me and I'll give you some specifics.
Anyone know how to get started having a computer program made

I have an idea I have been thinking about for a while, a software program actually. I think it is a good idea but I have no idea where to begin to try to have it made and marketed.  If anyone knows I would really appreciate any advice you have.

Thanks!

I did read some stations not carrying the program
so perhaps offensive in some things? I did not watch. I think Sharon probably looks the best of all the family.
Son's HS grad program listed the "Class Moto."

Ugh!

In my school district they have a "schools of choice" program.
The kicker?? Your school has to participate. Our new Supe took it upon himself to unilaterally disembowel the "schools of choice" program. Our school district is not as bad as Detroit, but I think it is getting there.

He stated "the only way anybody is going to get out of my school district is to move." And of course with the housing market the way it is, who can afford to move?

We cannot afford to send our son to a private school either. And even if we did participate with Schools of Choice, you are responsible for your own ransportation.

So, the only other choice is a charter school, but then you have the same problem - you must provide your own transportation.

PS I live on the west side of Michigan.
Body For Life is a weight loss program that worked for me.

The book is full of ads for his foods. If you can read past the ads it has great advice. The journal is essential IMHO. It is nice to know exactly what you did that "worked" when you start to drop the pounds. I do Walk Away The Pounds for the aerobic exericise part.

Most libraries own the book. The ISBN# is 0007149670
