Amanda, now with DR coming out that Michael was not the father

do you still think they look mixed? Oh, I would guess you would say yes as to not backtrack on your comments yesterday. You were so emphatic about how mixed folks could look this way, that way, etc, before the news broke last night about Debbie Rowe saying Michael was not the father of the 2 children. In MJ's case, might be different but when my brother died and my mother tried to push for trust for his children, her grandchildren, she was told by courts she had no say. Being as he was the star he was, might be different case here. I heard later these were not the first statements from her about the paternity of the children, she had said this previously.

thanks amanda.
He is very excited! The orthodontist did know that he has a Wii already, if that makes anybody feel better. We were told by Walmart they would not take it without a receipt so I felt like ebay was our only option.
Thank you very much, Amanda. (sm)
I will gratefully accept all the prayers I can get.
I feel so sorry for your pet, Amanda
To say you will "will have about 10 more years before he dies"- might not be the dog that goes first.
Congratulations, Amanda!
Congratulations on the new arrival. She will be eating out of your hands in no time. I am so happy you found her so quickly!
Congratulations, Amanda!
That's the car I've dreamed of owning.. But I let myself be talked into the practical minivan to cart kids and grandkids around in. You're an inspiration though!
Amanda, I would hate to be without my animals
and in fact I rescue for the love of getting them out of a place where otherwise they would be put down. An owner surrender is not good. Did you find out prior to taking your kitty to the shelter if it is a no kill place. Some are, others not so. I got a doggie not too long ago, not smart of me but trying to save a poor little doggie took this girl in. I had no room for her and lucky for me went on Craigs and found a place that would take any and all. That was the place where I met these people I now do rescuing with. I have 3 pets and you would probably just have to string me up first before I would let them go. They are my family.
Yes indeedy, Amanda, it's me, me, me time.
Mine are 28 and 30. I have 1 grandson who is 2. Life couldn't be more fun. I started young and am still young enough to relive my childhood with them!!!
Yes - Michael or Yuli. nm

Unfairenheit 9/11The lies of Michael Moore.By Christopher Hitchens Posted Monday, June 21, 2004, at 3:26 PM ET
Moore: Trying to have it three ways One of the many problems with the American left, and indeed of the American left, has been its image and self-image as something rather too solemn, mirthless, herbivorous, dull, monochrome, righteous, and boring. How many times, in my old days at The Nation magazine, did I hear wistful and semienvious ruminations? Where was the radical Firing Line show? Who will be our Rush Limbaugh? I used privately to hope that the emphasis, if the comrades ever got around to it, would be on the first of those and not the second. But the meetings themselves were so mind-numbing and lugubrious that I thought the danger of success on either front was infinitely slight.
Nonetheless, it seems that an answer to this long-felt need is finally beginning to emerge. I exempt AL Franken's unintentionally funny Air America network, to which I gave a couple of interviews in its early days. There, one could hear the reassuring noise of collapsing scenery and tripped-over wires and be reminded once again that correct politics and smooth media presentation are not even distant cousins. With Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11, however, an entirely new note has been struck. Here we glimpse a possible fusion between the turgid routines of MoveOn.org and the filmic standards, if not exactly the filmic skills, of Sergei Eisenstein or Leni Riefenstahl.
To describe this film as dishonest and demagogic would almost be to promote those terms to the level of respectability. To describe this film as a piece of crap would be to run the risk of a discourse that would never again rise above the excremental. To describe it as an exercise in facile crowd-pleasing would be too obvious. Fahrenheit 9/11 is a sinister exercise in moral frivolity, crudely disguised as an exercise in seriousness. It is also a spectacle of abject political cowardice masking itself as a demonstration of "dissenting" bravery.
Michael Jackson ....
I saw the same thing and then heard the reports that he had no pulse and was not breathing once the paramedics got to him. I have been scanning between the big networks, CNN, HLN and Fox and they all say that his situation is "grave." I changed over to a local channel that, ABC, and they are reporting that he has died.
??Next Michael Moore movie
Perhaps we need to get the attention of Michael Moore to come to our defense. A sequel to Sicko - regarding the outsourcing of our medical records to other countries - I'll contact him, will you?
So Mr. Hitchens dislikes God and Michael

Michael Vicks ... I wish I could treat him the same. sm
I'm sorry but I am writing letters to every single sponsor of his and to the NFL and the Falcons.
If I could, I would treat him the same way he has allowed those poor dogs to be treated.
Speaking of Michael Vick, did you see...sm
How many of those dogs were rehabilitated and rehomed? Some are living on a sanctuary. Really. There were a few who could not be rehabilitated though and had to be put down but a lot weren't and are great dogs now. I just wanted to add that since speaking of Michael Vick. I know it probably won't make a difference to you but I didn't know if you knew some actually were rehabilitated.
BTW, I am adamantly against fighting pit bulls. That is abuse pure and simple.
Michael Jackson has died (sm)
All the major news shows reporting that he died of cardiac arrest.
She's beginning to remind me of Michael Jackson....sm
someone crying out for help but no one getting through to them. Of course Michael would alienate or fire anyone that told him he was crazy. Sad thing for Brittney is that this bizarre behavior will hurt her in her custody attempt for the kids, and if she's that mentally unstable she shouldn't have the kids.
Michael Vick pleds GUILTY to
dogfighting charges and will be sentenced December 10th. He is having a news conference at about 11:30 a.m. EST. There are people that are supporting him. How can anyone condone what he has done. There were supporters at the court house in Virginia who were clapping and singing and saying that they LOVED HIM. OMG. He better get time in jail or I have lost all faith in the court system for CELEBS. He did the crime now he must pay the time. I do not care what color he is. He did a horrible thing and should not get away with it.
Michael Vick getting his way past dues
Whoopi does not seem to know that all southerns are not into dog fighting (ridiculous) but grand jury in Virginia bringing their own charges against Vick for the dog fighting. Just heard on Fox channel. Good for them! Says he could get up to 10 years- hope for that also. What a rotten excuse for a person.
I like Michael Moore, but health care SM
in Cuba has declined and it's certainly not great. Don't believe everything you see.
It used to be fair, before the embargo, but it's now third world. What you saw was planned in advance.
I avoid Michael Moore and his "documentaries" whenever possible, BUT
I will watch this movie, I promise.
I don't believe Mr. Moore's beaming portrayal of the European and Canadian health care systems is completely accurate. I have a number of Canadian friends who have described the system as chaotic and overwhelmingly dangerous and dysfunctional. The wait lists for some routine or non-emergency procedures can be literally months long.
I'm an RN and have worked with Canadian nurses who said they crossed the border because they can't earn a competitive wage in their own country. One of my patients (a Canadian now living in the US) had the misfortune of having a heart attack while visiting relatives in BC, and by his own account he had to lie on a gurney in the hallway of the ER for 48 hours while receiving only intermittent treatment. My girlfriend told me pregnant women there don't get epidurals during labor because there is never time or an anesthesiologist available to administer them.
None of this excuses the health care crisis in the United States, but it should cause us to question whether adopting a national plan is truly the answer to our problems. I just know I don't want Canada to be our model.
Michael Jackson -Do you think he faked his death?
I just saw his "last picture" This man was darker skinned -- different nose, completely. Not the person we've been seeing on TV. The medical stuff doesn't add up either -- from what I'm reading/hearing with time frames. Sort of makes one think this was all staged -- he has done it before--staged photos. Did you see the "body" coming off the HC? They dropped the gurney and part of it bounced up. Wouldn't the body not have been stiff by that time?????

Adam Sandler, Michael Jordan, The Rock (sm)
How's that for variety? LOL!
Forgot to mention I was waiting to see Michael Flatley and SM
after I picked the pan up he came on! That dance almost made the carpet deal with it!
Oh, my dog is Michael Jordan. I swear she's part deer!
We just moved to the country, but when we lived in town, she jumped the fence I don't know how many times. When she wants in the house, it's not enough to simply scratch on the door, she has to jump six feet in the air and basically throw herself into the door.
I just get so frustrated. I was at friends house who has a golden retriever and they have a little bell hanging from their back doorknob and when their dog wants out, he simple rings the bell and same thing on the outside of the door too. I was incredulous. How did they get their dog to do that?!?!?!
Just heard, Michael Jackson had heart attack?
NM
Just a sad, sad day. Two pop culture icons die - Farrah and Michael Jackson.
I grew up with Michael Jackson. Used to watch the Jackson 5 cartoons in the 70s when I was a little kid. Then bought his first solo album, Off the Wall. Was watching the Apollo special when he moonwalked for the first time on stage. Bought Thriller as a teenager in the 80s and was just a huge, big-haired fan. It's like a part of my childhood just died.
And who can forget Farrah? I loved Charlie's Angels. Remember when she came back to acting after Charlie's Angels in the Burning Bed? Who knew she was more than just a sex symbol on a poster?!?!?! She fought such a courageous battle against her cancer.
BREAKING NEWS- Debbie Rowe says Michael is NOT
the father of her children. She has now given an interview today and this is the latest on this. It has been on Fox News tonight. Remember about the talk below where I said needed DNA for those kids?? Guess I might have been right when I said did not ever think they belonged to MJ.
Michael's and other craft/sewing stores have kits to make

Post from main board ie Michael Moore movie Sicko
I have NO desire to see this movie, and I believe that it is just perpetuating and promoting what is going on in this county -- I recently suffered a broken leg and went to THE "county hospital, i.e., Jackson Memorial, in Miami/Dade County -- the ONLY reason that I even went there was because of the fact that my significant other did not understand that with my insurance through CHAMPUS that I could be seen at any or all hospitals in the Miami area -- as a side note, the ONLY time that I have been "turned down" is at a Kaiser facility as far as being seen as a CHAMPUS patient.
CHAMPUS is the major insurance carrier that serves our military and their familes once the service member is honorably discharged, retires from active duty or dies in active combat or retired.
What I endured at Jackson was little short of HORRENDOUS and I believe that if any of us were to be seen at a major medical facility, we would soon find this out.
Jackson Memorial is 1500 beds -- I was initially seen in their "Extreme Care" section -- I got there at 11:30 a.m. and was finally out of there at 11:30 p.m. In the meantime, I walked down to their radiology department because the ignoramous P.A. did not put me in a wheelchair or crutches after I told him that the ankle area had been bruised for a week even after I wrapped it, Epsom salts, ice packs etc -- guess their attitude was "oh well" -- sure enough, it was a fracture -- they lost my records and with my second appointment it was from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. to be seen in their "Trauma Clinic" -- no docs, just residents, but tell you what, if you are of Hispanic descent, or poor -- BOY do you get preferential treatment -- needless to say, I am still in pain, with swelling, can't wear a shoe after the cast being off a week, and cannot get results -- I called the ER a bit ago and told them that I was going to be seen at a real hospital and that they could take their treatment and stick it
Bottom line is that patient care has TRULY gone down the toilet, whether it be a nurse, doctor or ANY kind of healthcare professional.
Michael's craft stores offers all kinds of Sat. classes. Or check

I've given books of stamps, too. New dishtowels. Gift certs to Michael's if
s
Do you stencil? Walmart and Michael's locally sell stencils and the dabber brushes.
It is not hard. I did a design of ivy and then glazed over it (suggestions on type to use from Lowe's) and then found a shower curtain that had the same ivy, material with ivy and light flowers to trim out some towels. Looks pretty darn nice, if I do say so myself.
Are you sure no one is coming by every day (sm)
to give her food and water and at least a little attention?
I can see where you are coming from
Oh I don't know, just heard they was giving out free food! Go figure.... How did she hear that with no power?
Please, if you will tell me exactly where these are coming
from. I have read a few places but I want to know exactly what you are speaking of.
So if the end is coming
I've been hearing this crap all my life due to a religious upbringing. Oooh, we'll be persecuted and have to go live in caves during the end times. I'm over it!
The only thing one can do is get right with God the best they can. And that's between them and their deity.
If the planet shifts on its axis, the sun sends out a flair, or any other global disaster, there is no way to prepare for it, physically, mentally, etc. You'll either be in the right place/time or not. You'll either die, or not. Whatever unpredictable circumstance you're in, you'll do the best you can.
And if nothing unusual happens at all on winter soltice 2012, it will still be a matter of surviving whatever socioeconomic mess we are in at that time.
Live your life one day at a time, that's all you can be sure of. Don't worry about tomorrow because God is already there. Why go nuts like we did preparing for 2000? I refuse to stress on it, I did enough time doing that when I was a child having religious propaganda shoved down my throat. I did more stressing during the 2000 non-crisis because my boss was paranoid and put ME in charge of safeguarding all our electronic medical records from the big crash that never happened. This time, I don't give a hoot, and I'm not doing anything any different than I would any other day of the year. Tell your loved ones you love them and go the heck to bed!
its all coming to an end sm
What did you think about last night's performances , who is the winner.
I liked Kris better. Adam killed Kara's song. I also think when the judges talked to Kris after his last song it felt like they were saying goodbye to him and saying he did not have a chance to win. I hope Kris wins to prove them all wrong. I would have loved to see Allison be in first or second place.
My DH keeps coming in to inform me that...
he has today off, paid no less, for his birthday. One more time and I am going to hit him upside the head with the gnome!
What is this world coming to?
The clue for your caller would have been when you said "hello"? Don't ya' think?
Anyone get HBO? Even the coming attractions from
But I understand where they are coming from
because usually self-employed is an iffy thing and the bottom line is where you apply for credit wants to know with some certainty about will you be able to handle a mortgage. I am independent myself but since starting did not ever think about this coming up, of course do not plan on relocating or buying another home (only been in my new home for 3 years now) but being independent never crossed my mind about things like this.
Furniture coming up now
what I want to know, will your groomers put these nails on for you? Also am planning on the wood post and getting a spray bottle. Wish me luck!
I sort of know where you are coming from
with the prices of houses by me. Most people probably don't realize that 400,000 in some areas does not get you much and you probably can't find a 3 bedroom decent house for under 350,000. I think people are getting the wrong impression and thinking you want to live way beyond your means when in reality you just want a decent place to live. As I said, I'm in the same boat and it stinks. Just be careful; sounds like way too much debt to be comfortable with your current situation. Have you thought about moving somewhere cheaper? I am sure your wife can find a job as a nurse anywhere, maybe making even more money; also if she is an RN they can work just weekends and make a full time income. For you, you can always work at home doing MT full time and part time with 2 companies putting in 50 or so hrs a week for now. You'd save on any kind of childcare that way at least while the baby is an infant. But then you may have to put off school. Unfortunately this is what happens. We can't have it all as much as we'd all like to. Sounds like at least you do have a few options, though, the way I see it; so good luck whatever you choose to do.
I totally get where you are coming from
and I don't know anything about your situation, but it seems like it would be a good thing that he looked on his stepdaughter as his daughter, although I can see how you would feel the way you feel since your brother was her father and it wasn't his choice not to raise her, and somebody should have acknowledged him as well.
I was adopted and to me my parents are the parents who raised me- because to me that is what makes a parent a parent. Had I been referred to growing up as my parents' "adopted daughter" that would have been painful to me and only a constant reminder that I was not their biological child.
Again, I don't know anything about your situation or your niece's relationship with her stepfather but if it was a good one I would think it would be nice that he thought of her as his actual daughter. He probably had just not been thinking about how it would make you feel.
How are you coming along with it now Hayseed? nm
!
Weekend coming. What is everyone doing?
xx
I do understand where you are coming from
My MIL is a very big part of our lives and is very close wtih my son and daughter. That is all well and good but for years she would ask the kids if they wanted to go somewhere with her (like a day trip to a nursery or shopping without asking me first. If I said no we already have plans then I was the mean mommy. It took me several years to finally get through to her that I would really like for her to check with me first. She did this again last Sunday asking my son to go to a nursery with her that is about an 1 1/2 hours away. He is now 16 and I know we didn't have plans for that afternoon so I overlooked it. Be glad that she lives 80 miles away. Mine lives 8 miles. We used to live in the house right behind the family business that she had my DH run. She called one day saying she was going to town and did I need anything. Yes, a gallon of milk. Oh, I'm not going to the grocery store, just the post office and bank. I guess if I had needed stamps or a roll of pennies she could have helped me out. LOL. Just take a deep breath, smile through gritted teeth, and be thankful she wants to be a part of her grandchilden's lives.
My sympathies for what is coming...sm
I know the look you are talking about. It breaks your heart. I lost my dog a few years back. He was the first present my husband ever gave me and I had him for 15 1/2 years. We have other pets, but nothing takes the place of him. My best to you and your kitty friend. Take Care.
