Ranzy Luster - Fixes and gives warranty. SM
Hi, I have used Ranzy Luster to fix my desktop Laniers, he is in Texas. He did the work fast, I think I remember that he had a $100 fixed price. He is one of the nicer people I have worked with.
He has been around a long time, and advertises on the "other site" under MT Classifieds also.
Here is his e-mail:

Good luck - It's awful when the machines we depend on to help us make our living go bad!

I think it is great to teach your kids
My daughter attended a school for special needs children as a mentor when she was 3 and 4-years-old. She loved it. The special needs children really responded to my daughter and she made great friends. What joy you and your daughter brought to this man's evening last night! After all, we all just want to be accepted no matter our religion, creed, etc. Thank you for sharing that nice story, and it sounds like your daughter has a caring/sharing heart!!! Bravo to her and you for raising up such a nice person, which is much, much needed in today's society!
hmm, let's see, no kids either, great life too...
DH who is great, I am extremely well read and work when I want. Sounds great here too!
Has your partner changes over the years
Or are they still the same as when you were first with them. What made me think about this is last night I wanted him to watch a movie with me. One I'd knew he would enjoy because we've always like movies like this one. When it was over he looked at me and said "was that supposed to be enjoyable, I didn't understand it". So I explained the plot in about 4 sentences. Same with a music group I had thought he would like because we listen to other groups similar. He said afterward "why in the world would you think I would enjoy something like that". I said because we listen to other groups that sound similar. I find the jokes I tell him he doesn't laugh at, but when he tells a joke I laugh. Once I didn't laugh and he asked why I was in such a bad mood. I said I just didn't get the joke and he rolled his eyes and walked away. He just doesn't seem like the same person I first fell in love with. When we married he was sure of himself. Knew what he wanted, responsible, etc. Now he doesn't know what he wants to do with himself. We do still laugh, enjoy movies together and other things, but things just seem to be different after 30 years. I spend a lot of time wondering if its me or him. Just wondered if others go through the same thing.
scrubs!!
how awesome is that show!
There are shows that I catch when I can that I wish I could watch religiously (but gotta work) and Scrubs is definitely one that I love every time I can catch it!!!
Also Everybody Loves Raymond and the Office are some too...
I really wanted to watch Big Love but I feel like i miss the first couple and im screwed you know? Same goes for Lost...
Scrubs
Man it seems like all I do is work and watch tv! Anyways, I go into that show Scrubs and I think this might be the last season so I want to watch every episode. The only problem is that my ABC news people are putting on somekind of special about tornados at the same time they are suppose to play this episode of Scrubs and that stinks because it is suppose to be an episode continued from last week..... Anyways, I was just wondering how they could do that? I mean I know many of us here, if not all, arent in the television business, but I was just wondering. With my 3 kids, 4 if you count my husband, work, laundry, and dishes it seems like I have so little things to enjoy and dammit it I dont like to plop my butt in front of the tv and laugh at something stupid for 30 minutes!
SCRUBS
Scrubs said goodbye with one last episode last night. I don't know if I liked it or not. I guess it was okay. I wonder how well the cast will do on their own? Now I have to find another show to fill the void.... any suggestions? I hate new tv.
If you liked Scrubs...
check out Arrested Development on Hulu.com. It was a quirky show, not exactly the same whay Scrubs was, but it was clever nonetheless.
had the man been there the previous time with his partner?
//
I am a huge Scrubs fan .. did you know . . .
if you go to Hulu.com, you can watch all the episodes of Scrubs and many, many other shows? For free!! That's how I get caught up on a lot of my shows, like Brothers and Sisters!!
Kids are great. They can bring tears of laughter and sadness
with a blink of the eye. Glad he is okay!
Sound like you actually have a good partner. Above posts, not so much.

Learn to speak your partner's love language.
For example, when my husband does things around the house for me (acts of service), I really feel loved by him, so he makes it a point to do those things. He, on the other hand, is a 'touch and affection' kind of guy, so when I wrap my arms around him, stroke his hair, etc., he really feels loved by me. It's hard for me, because I'll do things for my husband all the time and think I'm showing my love, but since that's not his love language, it does nothing for him.
As an equal partner in this marriage, why is it wrong for me to express my wants? (sm)
You seem to imply that because he wants to live here, I have to whether I like it or not. I have lived here for over 10 years. Why is it wrong for me to want what I want, but okay for him to impose his wants on me?

Why stay if there's no love there?!! You deserve a much nicer life partner, girl.

We pay nothing on Hubs insurance
so then this is next year for me although retirement age not actually until 67 for me. Drats- was wanting to stay on his PPO, no cost to us and really good covering all. I have until March of next year to contact them now.
I eat different from hubs because I'm the veg head & he
s
Wow if you & hubs are paying that much
in taxes and didn't qualify for stimulus check (because you make too much?), ya'll must be rakin' it in!! Don't think you deserve much sympathy either, right? I know you we're asking for it, but seems a little harsh to kick someone when they're down...
Babylon AD...can't get hubs to see it
he knows how much I love me some Vin!!!
I probably would tell hubs he had to leave
Nah, just kidding. The mama is trying to hide the kittens. The kittens will nurse for about 4 weeks and then they should be able to eat at least soft kitty food. Mama will start refusing to nurse when she wants the kitties to let her go, but about 4 weeks. I just had a baby kitten at my home today- the girl who does rescuing with me brought it by. She got at animal control and it was just a baby, about 4 or 5 weeks old.
OMG! Same here, my hubs and I just looked at each other and said "oh no"!
we too thought the cable went out until we saw the credits. Extremely disappointing :(
Accidnetally took hubs medication
this morning. I take a blood pressure pill and I just took a 40 mg tablet of atenolol he had- thinking it was my armour thyroid. Should I just watch my blood pressure to make it does not dip too low? I think I will be okay but anyone else done this?
lmao my hubs is the opposite
He will bring home ANYTHING with Vin or Pierce Brosnan in it, knowing that I like them. lol I think he has actually bought every one of their movies since 2000.
Babylon AD...I'll have to ask hubs about it. lol
cars
I totally agree. We were thinking about buying another car. Both of our cars have around 97,000. One is a van and needs a new sliding door and we have a smaller car that needs a left fender, but you're right no payments, which I totally adore, so I guess we'll fix both. The van needs a major tuneup, but still cheaper than buying a new car.
Cars
I am really a sad case and actually have saved all the cars (almost) that I have ever bought. My car insurance man loves me because some of them are actually insured in case I drive them. Three of them are in the back of the house and are awaiting restoration whenever we "get around to intermediate telephone consultation" and one is actually ready to be painted and have the seats redone. I do care about engines and it has a huge one. We could use it to race for pinkslip (if we were so inclined). I like to start the engine and listen to it. I know that sounds crazy. One of my favorites is a volkswagon I got in my 20s and it now is an antique. I just bought another new car that I love and I am trying to force myself to sell the almost new one I was driving before I bought the brand new one, but when I start to sell it I feel like I am losing a "friend." Soon, I will need to rent a building to keep them in and get another extra job to pay all the expenses. I envy you the ability to keep your collection down to model cars. I like those too, but I can't drive them so that wrecks it for me. I want a vintage Jag and I know someday I will get one even if they do have bummer electrical systems. Glad to know I am not the only female who loves cars!
we got old cars too...sm
and both boys learned to do just about everything including pulling out a tranny and engine and going to the junkyard to find parts...
My fave was a ོ Pontiac Tempest...Way back when the boys were little I was pulled over by a young police officer who asked why the kids weren't in seatbelts...I said, "Well, they didn't become standard installation until 1967"...She didn't believe me, had to call in to verify the fact and just gave me a courtesy ticket. Of course, I had them custom installed so I didn't get stopped in that small burg in upstate NY.
Love the old cars....No computer brain pieces that take out the entire electrical system....a coupla bolts to take out an alternator, couple to take out a starter...and they're made of real metal and don't crush like the plastic juice box cars they make nowadays.
Too bad the car companies haven't gotten around to installing rollbars in cars...But, then they're in the business of selling more cars, not saving lives. Cat
Old cars
My 20-year-old nephew and I still talk about the times we spent going to the junk yard to find the fender, headlight, etc. for his Plymouth Horizon -- I think. We had a great time and really bonded. It just impressed me that they were not interested in muscle cars, or trucks or a Mustang and just happy and content that they had a car that ran and took them where they were going. In fact, he was picked for graduate of the year with the most unusual car, also got picked for best looking, most likely to suceed and another one but could keep only one and he kept the one about the car because he said it meant a lot to him as we worked on getting the parts and then he and his step grandfather worked on putting it together. Cost me all of $150 to help him replace the parts and gave me so much more in return.
I've gotten them all up for years, including the hubs. Should have

Sounds familiar with hubs not wanting any more
cats around. I had an older girl and hubs brought home 2 young guys (he thought when the older one died the 2 younger would take her place, not true of course but he thought that). The older girl died and before long I spoke with him about another kitty. I have loads of room, work is ideal for pets around, he travels so they are loads of company for me but he said absolutely not. Ok, my housekeeper called me 1 day, said kitty up a tree, she would be over when she got it down and I asked her to bring with her as she could not keep. Instant love, not only with me but hubs. I told him the cat had shown up at my house meowing and running from the dog. Well, that was true- she had shown up at the door and had been running from the dog, just not at my home. Gina, my kitty, is now his best friend, follows him around the home, comes for petting and stays in whichever room he is in. It is kitty love for him now.
P.S. I'm not into gas guzzing cars either.

$20,000 is less than most cars cost
You should have no problem getting a home loan for that amount ANYWHERE. They will probably try to jack up the interest rate because of your bad credit score, but don't let them. Bargain with them and if they won't deal, tell them you'll go to the bank next door. Get them down to 6.5% or less if you can.
Good luck!
I used to own only foreign cars
I had Mazdas when I was younger. Then I married my husband, and he works for a Chrysler/Jeep dealship so no more foreign cars for me, but I do love my Jeep.
Do teens still get cars of their own
Do people still buy cars for their teens or do they share cars? Do you pay for insurance or do they have to get a job and pay for it? My parents gave me nada, but that seems extreme, so I would like to know what other people consider normal.
AMEN! We had old cars that we put sm
in their names (they didn't drive them, they had their own cars) so that they could have an insurance policiy in their names. If we had put them on our insurance policy we wouldn't be able to afford insurance to this day because of the driving record! I laugh because the youngest is a firefighter now and drives the truck all the time! I guess all that "fast driving" prepared him for something! haha
Hubs had same reaction with another Abx for same thing a few months ago. Stopped after

You are blessed...
And should feel very fortunate to have wonderful in-laws. Merry Christmas!
you have been blessed!
take care and thanks for sharing!
I too am blessed....
to have a great one. It is not bragging, simply the truth. I married a man, not a boy, and he is respectful, as I am of him.
You are blessed!
Enjoy it! They sure can amaze you, huh? When you least expect it, they can make you feel sooooo incredibly LOVED!!!!
I'm blessed to have two.
There was a time when I didn't think I'd ever trust or be friends with anyone again, but since rekindling a friendship with a woman I knew since I was 20 it's been great. We go walking once a week. So far I keep it to just one day of talking with her so that time we do walk, we chitter chatter about anything and everything under the sun. My other friend's been there for me for almost 15 years. We have our ups and downs, but I think I can confide anything with this friend and vice versa.
You are so very blessed!!
I'm almost speechless. What a wonderful way for things to turn out! Even the hardships, when you share them, can bring you closer together. It sounds like there's a lot of love in your family. Thanks for that uplifting, optimistic post!
