Almost all PayPal e-mails are phishers.

When you get the e-mail, DON'T CLICK ON ANY LINK.  Just HOVER your cursor over it and dollars to donuts it will display an IP address of just all numbers (example http://10.4.567.10)--not the familiar www.paypal.com address.  This means it's bogus and you can just delete it.

Yep, dirty bastids they is.

Question about the e-mails
I know when I first opened my e-mail account I was getting unsolicited porno e-mails, not many of which were opened (some opened automatically after the closing of the previous e-mail).  Just because you open an e-mail doesn't mean it saves to your computer, does it?  If people are going to prison just for receiving and/or opening a pornographic e-mail, then most people who have e-mail addresses would be in prison.  Just my opinion, but the woman has to be making the story up to cover, or like another poster said, she wants to believe that her husband did not do those things.  Of course he did them.
Children's e-mails
I was wondering if any of you check your children's e-mails, or if your husband might do so.  My husband goes through and reads my girls' e-mail and then cleans out the in-box.  I understand wanting to know what their doing and who their talking to, but to me, that is a little over the top.  It's like he is a control freak.
A couple of e-mails a year? nm

paypal charges
Is it to late for you to call the company and inform them what has happened to you and ask them to cut you a paper check and then have it cashed somewhere else for a small fee?
Do you have a Paypal account?

Maybe a few of us could send you a couple of dollars to cover it.

I came home from Sunday school once with a chunk out of my hair but it was the work of some naughty little boy.

EBAY/PAYPAL QUESTION sm
I recently bought something off of ebay.  I signed up for paypal and put my charge card through paypal.  It kept telling me they were having technical problems to try later.  I  emailed the seller three times asking if she got the payment because I did not want to double pay (I was hoping she was honest) and never heard from her.  Is there a way for me to check if it took through paypal.
I had actually forgotten about my PayPal acct

Well, thank you.  I still have a nervous feeling in my stomach from all of this mess.

The last time I bought something off ebay was about three years ago, and I had a different checking account and credit card.  99% of my mail goes into the spam folder, and I just automatically delete all the mail in that folder without reading it.  I would never click on a link to anything I wasn't sure about in an e-mail.  I have noticed though that lately there have been tons of e-mails from people claiming to be from postcard.com type addresses.  There are many of them, all stating you have a card from a classmate, a friend, a relative, or somebody who is thinking of you today, LOL.  I bet they are!

Just by doing a Google search today while trying to find Ebay's phone number, there are lots of web sites that lead to people who have had similar experiences.  I have no clue what happened, I'm just glad the money is back in the account and I can make my house payment in a few days.  Whew!

Report it to EBay. Did you use PayPal to
pay for it?? If so, maybe they can cancel the payment.
login to your account @paypal to see your history. SM
if there is no payment listed, then assume it did not go through.

or you could check with your credit card company...
PayPal eCheck from my checking account

I know this has happened to somebody here before, I remember reading it.  This morning I woke up and checked my checking account to see what little I had left before pay day this Friday.  What I found was that somebody had taken $2420.00 from a PayPal eCheck, and now I am way in the negative.  The bank says it takes three to five, possibly up to ten days to dispute and make the account right.  That's just great. I have a direct deposit going in on Friday, and won't even be able to use that until who knows when.

What can be done, if anything, on my part?  Is there someway to make PayPal responsible for making the dispute happen faster?  I have no clue what to do and have absolutely no money until this dispute is over.  It did take the whole ten days about six months ago when I got double charged for something, so I already know it won't happen before pay day.  Maybe with this large sum of money they will expedite.  I can hope!

Okay, back to work for me.  Thanks.
