From what I've heard if you eat just a little too much fat, you'd definitely get that same undesirable side effect. Yuck.

Alli
Just read this is being sold over the counter. It is supposedly the equivalent of Orlistat from several years ago, which means you actually um.. discharge 50% of your fat you eat. I used it a couple of months and lost about 10 pounds. But it's heck on your undies!
Anyone tried my alli yet?
Just wondering how it is working, any side effects? Thanks.
Probably Alli. NM

Anyone doing the new Alli diet?
I tried this several years ago when it had another name. This is not a good deal. You are only able to eat a small amount of fat content before the diarrhea explodes and it does, really orange runny and you cannot make to the bathroom before you are really in a mess. I was watching a program just now where they were showing the amount of fat allowed with this drug and they showed even green beans had fat contents - this is not a drug that most would like.
Alli diet
I lost 75 lbs using the Brand name equivalent of Alli. Alli is only 60 mg, whereas Xenical was 120 mg each capsule. So I don't think a person would get in trouble with that dose of Alli. Anyway, if you try to not overdo on the fat intake, you should be fine. I couldn't have done it without Xenical (Alli).
Comment on Alli
I'm 45 and started Alli the weekend it came out in mid-June. I weighed about 185 at the time. This morning, I weighed 163. It's been a slow, steady loss. I haven't had any of the "treatment effects" that are talked about with Alli. Just the threat of those treatment effects if you eat too much fat and take Alli are enough... it teaches you to watch your fat grams, which makes you also reduce calories. I haven't felt deprived in the least, but I've learned to eat healthier, less fat, smaller portions. I've been using Lean Cuisine or Smart Ones for my quickie meals, and eating lots of rice, veggies, fruit, whole grains, lean meats. I have lost 20 plus pounds doing Atkins in the past, but gained it all back plus about 10 more. Over the winter, I was the highest ever.. up at about what I was when 9 months pregnant! I feel so much better right now, and I feel confident that when this bottle of Alli runs out, I probably could go without because in these 3 months I've developed habits that I can stick with. Good luck!
