Oh that is NASTY!!
Mom of 3 you are one nasty person...
I hope your children dont take after you. Teaching them responsibility is one thing but pure nastiness is another.....
Nutrisystem - that was nasty!
The bars and cereals were okay, but the dinners and chips were awful. I didn't get to the soups. Thank goodness I got them on QVC and could return the unused stuff for a full refund. Never again!!!
I'll stick to healthy foods over that junk. YUK
Some people are just nasty
Now, having gotten that out of the way, I think negativity exhibited here is out of frustration over what has happened over the last five years or so regarding our chosen profession, or what used to be considererd a profession. We have put hard work into learning our craft and practicing it and corporate greed to a large degree has for many of us destroyed our ability to make a living at it and we're frustrated.
I disagree with you. OP has a very nasty LL
who evicts her immediately after she could not pay the rent on time. I doubt that this is even legal to evict sb immediately after the first time being late with the rent payment. She should talk with the LL, he could be a bit more compasssionate, especially in these times.
Where are the nasty comments. just some very strong
opinions that happen to not agree with your opinion. I thought we were all just discussing. So what if someone doesn't agree with my opinion, that's fine. We are all entitled to our opinion and we just have to agree to disagree. Please don't take this so personally. I don't think any of it was aimed at you.
You shouldn't be so judgmental and nasty
without knowing all the facts. News flash: Life isn't always black and white, cut and dried. Try to put yourself in her shoes and not be so critical because you don't know any of the details of what's going on. Jeesh.
sorry, but you do s/l a prude! It is passionate, sometimes both, not always, but not *the nasty*!!!

Bag balm and sweat socks...Nasty but very effective...
My feet get so dry they crack and bleed, summer or winter. It takes me about 3 days of sleeping in sweat socks, but it works. Also I swear by anything with shea butter in it, especially anything from Bath and Body Works rocks!!!. I also swear by Gold Bond Ultimate Soothing skin therapy lotion. It has shea butter in it too and it rocks too. There is no real smell to it so if you are allergic or sensitive, then this will work.
I wonder if we could somehow augment our MT salaries by being spokespeople for these companies. LOL.
Dirty store and nasty workers. Wanted to clarify
xx
My dog just ate a piece of...
Broccoli!!!!! My last dog wouldn't eat that. She likes things like bananas too. Does your dog eat funny stuff?
Then go to her and tell her, say your piece but be nice - sm
about it. She will no doubt get defensive, so unless you want a permanent rift you (unfornately) have to be careful in how you phrase your complaint of her being totally nasty, rude and tactless herself. Just explain to her that her little digs hurt your feelings and you are only trying to help her out as you care for her, etc. Tell her if she continues to make the cutting comments about her perceived inability to help her out now and then that you will just have to stop helping her and limit your time with her as she is making you feel like dirt and killing your self-esteem. Maybe that will get her to knock it off, if it does not, then just cut her out, no one needs that kind of garbage in their life and let her be bitter and alone and nasty to herself.
I just saw a funny piece on (sm)
"Best of Craigslist."
Somebody advertised that they would pay somebody to come and clean their refrigerator and then described the problem, which was one specific spill that was growing new life forms or something. It was hilarious.
okay, just one more piece of advice
Hey Emily Ayn - I've seen your posts on this board so many times its almost like talking to a friend - okay, an invisble friend because I can't see you, but at least you answer me back :-) Anyway...this is the only piece of advice I would offer you, and a couple of my thoughts. (P.S. - I hope you didn't think I was shouting at you, I didn't mean the no, no, no to come off as shouting, it was more of an Oh my gosh, no). Anyway...if I was facing the same situation, this is what I would do.
I would most defintely get the address and name of the people. I would then take that with the ad to the local police and ask if there is anything illegal that has happened at this address and show them the ad. They should then be able to tell you at least that this couple is not wanted by the law or has done anything that you would need to know about. Everything could be very innocent and legite, but that would be the only way to really be sure.
As for their ages, I would come out and say to them (again if this is me) I would say.
"I noticed your ad asked for my picture, and I have never heard of that before and just wondered why you wanted a picture of me". I'm not sure if asking their ages would mean anything because "weirdo's" (if they are weirdos) come in all ages. If they have any sense at all they will understand your concerns, and if they get offended that would send up a signal. Most defintely though the only thing I would do before hand is check it out with the police to make sure they are not wanted for anything.
By your posts I know you are a smart person and if you've dispatched for 911 you've heard a lot come your way.
Just wish you all the best and hope things work out for you. I understand totally about needing to feel safe. If you do this please let us know how it goes.
Take care, be safe, and as they say on X-Files "Trust No-one". (That's a saying my DH lives by).
Had mine at 29. It was a piece of cake. (sm)
Had the surgery at 7:30 AM. Home by 12 PM. Doing laundry by 12:30. No pain. No complications whatsoever. 43 now and no menstrual comps.
I would try to find a piece of carpet
somewhere in your house - closet, etc., and have cut out the area and install the other piece - it will stick out like a sore thumb for a while as it is not worn - but eventually will look fine. You might even be able to find a carpet installer to help you with this
I had a tubal/ piece of cake sm
My husband is a big baby. I was working full time at an insurance company. I had my surgery the day after Thanksgiving. I was home by 10 AM feeding the baby (not my husband) in the high chair because my husband had to run to the store for stuff we needed. Not a big deal. Didn't hurt, woke up from anesthesia quickly.
painful at first but wedge a piece of cotton
from a cotton ball underneath the corner - sometimes numbing with some topical agent like neosporin plus helps a little. I cut mine too short because walking in tennies aggravate me and this happens. Works pretty well - wedge it under with a tweezer.
Her mother is a piece of trash. So is that biological father.

Try reaching for a stick of gum or a piece of hard candy.
The doctor I work for prescribes Chantix and it has been very successful for many patients.

When puppy does her business where you want her to, reward her with a piece of food treat.
And when she pees in house, use paper towels and then place paper towels (soiled) to the area in the yard where you want her to do her business. Dogs tend to prefer where they smell the odor. Be patient. This dog is young. Confine her to an area where the floor will not be damage (tile or vinyl). Take her out six times away, including first thing in AM, right before bed, after she eats her meals. Pull water up a few hours before bedtime. Do enjoy your new puppy dog.
My friend has you beat... she paid $35,000 for a small piece of land
and a home 30 years ago; she just sold it for $375,000, clear profit; she and her DH paid it off last year and now are reaping the benefits.
It's only a teeny weeny piece of skin, for heaven's sake, get real! nm
nm
Its not a little piece of skin - read up on it. It plays a lot of important functions. Google it.
You just need to look around for some FACTS about the foreskin. It protects the glans, keeps the glans sensitive, plays a role in sexual activity, enhances the sexual experience for men, should I go on......Why don't you just read up on it?
I use a nonalcohol screen cleaner for my LCD screen and it leaves a film all over it. Nasty and
it is made for LCD screens and a well known name. Any suggestions. I have to use clean water on a wipe to get the film off.
Yes - does not work! Hoax if you ask me. MetaboLife doesn't work either.
The only thing that works for me is exercise and eating correctly! No quick fix, unfortunately.
Buy a home of my own - not a palace, but more of a smallish home on a large piece of land. (nm)

And dealing with the kids is piece of cake compared to dealing

I TRIED to work, WANTED to work, but
So now I have to scramble for the rest of the week, trying to catch up on what I didn't do today. And of course, working today was in hopes of catching up on whatI didn't do last week. This job is a never-ending hamster-wheel of lunacy.
Everyone has to work once in a while!
Normally in this industry, you are paid an incentive to work "holidays". When I was in-house, I was offered a day off other than the holiday I worked, which was great. I was also offered to only work a 4 hour day, in-house. At home, you should also be given an incentive for those holidays! Some people think that Martin Luther King Day is more important than Christmas because they may celebrate Kwanzaa. Some people feel that April Fool's Day is important, so they are willing to work Easter. It goes on and on... There will be times in your life when you have to make a choice, "one day off" or a career in the "medical field". I would have to agree that we are important especially on those holidays. For example, most hospitals and emergent care units are staffed with one doctor, so it should really be only STATs you are typing. It is hard to "choose" when you want to be "sick". Hence, our salary!!!!!!! Most people will work all kinds of crazy schedules to accomodate their own lives, so why be so uptight about working Christmas because your employer requires coverage. On the other hand, this should be rotated amongst a pool of typists. I worked with a lady that would always volunteer for Thanksgiving (she had no family), so she could have Christmas off just to make us all mad! She'd say "well, I've worked the last 10 Thanksgivings, so I deserve Christmas off! It was so sad! Hmmmpphh! :) Good luck! Have a nice holiday (no matter how you spend it)!
He did see my dog and work him up sm
and everything came back negative. I'm going to push him more on Tuesday when I call him. I like our vet a lot-have been using him for years with all of my dogs and so far he hasn't steered me wrong. I'm just not sure I want to wait much longer on getting him some medication. The poor little guy suffers so and it just scares the heck out of us. I mean, there isn't anything we can do but hold him and ride it out and just be there when he comes out of it. I just haven't had to deal with anything like this before.
Nah, I do it, too, the more I work, the more I do it.
on vacation, notsomuch!
Does this work?
testing
Both will work actually.
For people who want to learn about something, anything, Google is a great tool. If you want to get into semantics about it though, personally I have real-life, first-hand experience with these critters called OTTBs. That stands for off-track thoroughbreds. They live until their late 20's and sometimes into their 30's and that is rarely taken into consideration by the racing industry, who I feel should kick in a little cash at birth, for every single horse they register with Jockey Club, to ensure that these animals can be cared for, for the rest of their lives. Oh wait...that would put a crimp in the breeders bottom line though, wouldn't it.
I used to work
with someone who would say the quirkiest things. got on my nerves.
And I used to work with someone who had
a stick up their rectum and made everyone's lives mundane.
No, not every day and get this- I only work
part-time. She is always available when I want her to come over, can stay the night if I am working later, whenever I want her. You are probably going to start throwing rocks but my pay to her is anywhere from 50-75 dollars a day, depending on what she does, any extra things I have her do like cleaning the closets, putting up seasonal clothes, other than the regular clothes washing and the house cleaning (she does not iron on a regular basis but if I need something special, she would do that)- she used to cook for us but my hubby does that now. I DO NOT want to quit even my part time position- heck my husband might think I had the time to do housework too and ugh!!
Never during work...
I don't get that. They could buy a lot more if they only shopped on the off hours ;)
That might work if
He would actually go. I can only do so much to make him go. He is the most stubborn man in the world!!
It might work
to cover the parts of the couch they are scratching because cats tend to return to the same spot. If you cover the couch completely, they may go under the cover unless it's secured. If you prefer the cats stay completely off the couch, you could use Scat Mats. They give a little shock from a battery when touched.
Good luck. I've declawed cats before to save the furniture, and they never have the same muscle strength in their upper body after they lose the claws. I've switched to dogs because dogs listen, LOL.
I do work for PS and this is the one - sm
operation she does not like doing, says it leaves horrible scars. She does them but shows many before/after pics and actually has the patient talk to others that have had it done before she will do it for them. They go into it with their eyes wide open. So if you do get it re-done be prepared (that is if a Dr. will re-do you anyway).
How did that work
with insurance? I have one in my left armpit that really bugs me because it is so visible when I wear sleevless tops. My doctor told me that insurance would not cover removing it because it would be cosmetic purposes.
