some of those competitions - in fact - I think that is how his show started. You get to see some cake crashes now and then.
I have a thing for certain men's voices and I think Mike Rowe qualifies.

I said I competed when I meant to say He...sorry!
No way in this world could I stand in front of a crowd and make an impromptu speech. Give me something to read or act out and I am there but just flying by the seat of my pants, never.
My son competed in his high school
state forensics competition this past weekend. I competed in the "impromptu" area. He walks into a room with 2 judges (and other spectators) and is given a paper with 3 catagories and he has to choose 1. He is given 7 minutes from start to finish. He usually takes about 2 minutes to write down some thoughts then he has to give his speech. He does this 3 different times. On the third speech his topics were "Rudy Guliani, Sanjaya ?last name?, and Tubby Smith. My son does not watch AI and is not a big basketball fan. He had to choose RG becuase he had no idea who the other two were. Just thought I would tell this story since I often see posts on this page about AI. BTW, there were about 8 of us in the room and only one person knew who Sanjaya was, and not a single person knew who Tubby was.
Luv Ace of Cakes....and 2 Dudes Catering.
DH likes Deadliest Catch so I often find myself watching it as well. It is amazing the things we can get addicted to!
My 9 y/o daughter LOVES Ace of Cakes
I don't think it's weird though. I also really like The Deadliest Catch.
Don't know about the cakes, but I love that wiggly, SM
gelatinous cranberry stuff that is so sweet it literally burns the back of my throat! Yum!
saw a commercial last night for ACE of Cakes
and the next episode is "New Season". Don't know exactly when that episode is, last night, tomorrow, or sometime this weekend, but at least you are getting your wish.
Am ordering where Oprah gets her cakes
Hubs ordered on line the most delicious chocolate cake for my b'day, unbelievably good, said he heard Oprah say she got her favorite hummingbird cake from this place. Although on the expensive side, will get another for dinner along with turkey and dressing hubs will cook, I will cook probably half ham, he will cook the collards and whatever else we think of. We are having the family/friend dinner again this year so guess I ought to finalize my thoughts on this. I have ordered all gifts on line this year so at least have those, no tree up yet, no gifts wrapped, oh me, oh my!! At least hubs and I will both be off the day prior to Christmas Day this year so we can work together on all.
oooooooooooo! i love funnel cakes!

I like to make "diaper cakes", made of course
attached such as comb, brush, bibs, pacifiers, whatever you want. You can go to Google and type in diaper cake or go to http://entertaining.about.com/cs/showers/a/diapercake.htm to get instructions. Enjoy!!
Baby Cakes, I LOVE it...thanks honey!
BTW, you are hardly starting a revolution. It is a little piece of skin...get over it (or maybe GET some of it!)
Anyone bake & decorate cakes a lot? Can you give me some tips? sm
I am working on a 12 inch round extra deep cake and another deep 8 inch top layer. Does anyone have advice on making sure deep layer cakes cook evenly?
Does anyone have any tips on decorating with fondant? Particularly getting things like long stripes to stay fairly solid when placing, and how to get fondant roses to keep their shape. I'd really appreciate it - thanks!
I'm making funnel cakes at our church for our Harvest Festival!
