My daughter was 5 lb 3.8 oz, and afterwards I thought Wow! That wasn't so bad, why does everyone say giving birth is so hard? Well, my son almost 4 years later was 7 lb 13.8 oz and had a 14-in head circumference. It was a difficult delivery to say the least, although I did not tear or need an episiotomy with either one. I do still have other lingering problems due to my son's birth even 8 years later, but I will deal with them for now. The pain afterward for me was worse from the tubal I had the next day than the delivery itself.

Think that depends on the size of the baby - sm
my first was 7-1, second 8-3-- I do not remember any pain/discomfort after #1 (37 weeks) (except from the wonderful discovery of hemorrhoids from giving birth-they weren't there prior to the delivery) even with the 2 stitches from my slight tear and the D&C. Don't think they had me up and walking until the next day (day 3) though, my delivery was at 6:30pm, D&C at about 10pm-- was in for 4 days. #2 daughter though was a bit bigger (41 weeks) and I ached some for about 2 weeks. I was up and moving that day - morning delivery-10am - and was just fine - not running any marathons of course but able to walk fine, probably moved slower than I had to just to be careful.
Every body brings baby gifts. sm
Bring something sensual for the mom. A basket of body lotions, bath lotions, maybe something feminine to wear after the birth. I loved that. I had plenty of diapers, newborn clothes, and baby gadjets already. Something for just ME was really appreciated. My favorite gift for the baby was a musical lion that played "You Are My Sunshine". Baby totally loved that, for a couple of years.
Believe it or not, it really does depend
I've been married 13 years. I've caught my husband in about 3 lies during that time -- nothing major, nothing having to do with another woman. In 2 of those cases, I was angry that he lied. I can't even remember what he lied about, just that it was something stupid that he could have and should have just told me.
The third lie really hurt and for that reason I remember the situation. In the end, we worked it out and I haven't caught him in any more lies. That's not to say that I don't occasionally tell him a "white lie" about how much something costs.
I think it would depend on whether
he was truly remorseful, and if the betrayal killed my love for him.
It might depend on where you live, but ....
my husband never votes at all, anywhere for anything, and he has gotten more jury duty notices than I have, and has served on juries (I have not).
If you really want to know for sure, I would call the place that sent you the summons, and ask them.
would depend on what CD it is. and is your child 12 or 17?
i just bought my 13 yr old son a ps2 game that had some kind of warning on it, but he has already been playing it at his friends, just found that out...so i thought..whats the big deal..
It would probably depend on what info
I worked at the clerk's office and we were not supposed to look up arrest records for personal issues. We could walk out in the lobby and pay to have someone do a record search. Essentially, someone just had to be aware that we were doing it. I could've come home and looked up arrest records on anyone I wanted to online.
However, other info that is not considered public record, specifically driving records, SS#s, driver's license #s, etc., obviously we were not to look up unless it was needed for court. As I did mention above, it would probably be better for her to obtain the info on her own by going to the clerk's office or sheriff's office just to be safe!
well, that would depend on the climate. nm

It does really depend on the child and I have been
told I am unfair. My 9yo daughter has to go to bed by 9:30 p.m. My 10yo son has to go to bed by 10:30 p.m. Now, naturally, she does not think it is fair BUT she needs more sleep to be able to be up by 6:30 a.m. My son is actually usually in bed before his bedtime and some nights even earlier than her bedtime. He has realized that some nights he needs more sleep than others. He is not difficult to get up. Then we have my lovely daughter who can just be a little "booger" to get up in the morning no matter what time she goes to bed :) All kids are different. Play around a little bit with it. Give them some leniency with it. See what works for you and of course him/her. Have a wonderful week!
i've had to depend
upon others awhile when i had several major injuries. You learn humility and appreciation. No one wants to be dependent upon others, but in reality, we are not as independent as we think, but dependent upon our God for our blessings.
don't want to depend and don't want Depends...nm.

Restraining orders also depend on
the women who take them out. A lot of them still see the guy and let him back in the home. Mine worked well for me and if I told you about my ex and the things he did to me it would turn your stomach. A restraining order is at least a documented event that can work in her favor should her guy try to be Mr. Personality and make her out to be a loon. JMHO, but there is no way I would leave the home (and in my case I didn't). I madie it as difficult for him as possible without disrupting my life or my children's lives. I also got a gun and learned how to use it....
It would depend on why they're still at home. sm
If there was no good reason for my son to remain at home, I'd sit down with him and give him a reasonable time line for finding his own place, and I'd tell him why I was doing so, for his own good. And, we'd help him with some up-front expenses in doing this if need be. "First month, last month and deposit", furniture, etc. can be an insurmountable barrier for a young person.
If he was staying home because he really did not yet have the financial resources to make it on a month-to-month basis aside from the initial costs, I wouldn't force him to leave, of course. But if this situation persisted, we'd have to talk about his plans for the future and whether he needed to think about a different line of work that would support him, and things like that. Then, if need be, we'd help him get the training or education needed to get that done.
On the other hand, if I thought that there was some other reason - perhaps something psychological, like lacking the confidence or maybe something even more serious - then we'd talk about getting him into some couseling to help him overcome the problem.
I probably seem like a soft marshmallow in describing these different approaches, but if a kid is staying home when he should be learning to fly, it seems to me the last big thing you might do for your kid is to provide whatever transition resources that will launch him on his way.

Just my size!
I'm not advertising for the name brand... just stating a fact
I don't mind underwires, however. I do tend to look for "full coverage"... I don't wear skimpy tops and if I did I wouldn't want it to look like a butt on my chest!
Anyway, with full coverage, underwire or not, I've never had a problem falling out, ever. So, that would be my only suggestion. I don't really have a preferred brand, just a style preference. I've got everything from Olga/Warner to Victorias Secret to Walmart and K-mart specials. If it fits, covers and I think it's pretty, I get it!
My 15 yo son is 6Ƌ and in a size
16 shoe, and getting ready for another growth spurt. I can always tell because for days he complains his legs hurt and then all of a sudden he is taller and shoes hurt his feet. Buying shoes for him is soooo much fun because when he finds shoes he likes, they usually go up to 13. Found a store that carries them up to size 20 now. I feel like I am going boat shopping when I take him shoe shopping. I was thinking of writing Shaq for leftover shoes....lol. My 13 yo daughter is 5ƍ and in a 9. Here I am at 5ƈ and a size 6 shoe. Daughter is looking into modeling but son is too tall for it they say.
What size is this?
My sister-in-law weighs about 300 pounds and is about 5 feet, 6 inches tall. I would like to buy her a nice pull over, but I do not know her size and I don't want to ask. Does anyone out there know what size this would be. I am guessing at the weight compared to my husband's (her brother) which I already know. What's the favorite store for plus sizes? I saw Lane Bryant was closing some stores, but are there any other good stores?
Plus size
I would think if she weighs 300 lbs and is 5' 6" tall, she wears a size 30, or 4X. If she's a little over 300 lbs, I'd get a size 32 or 5X.
I would also try to shop at Catherine's, CJ Banks Woman or Lane Bryant. They're better quality and last longer than the things I've gotten at Fashion Bug or any of the others. I do buy underpants and plain t-shirts at Walmart.
Catherine's is my personal favorite for both the styles and the prices.
If you're not 100% sure of her size, a gift certificate would be a safe way to go.
Oh look, they're having an "up to 70% off sale" right now!

Plus-size dresses
My friend is getting married in August and I need to find a dress quickly! Can anyone recommend a designer with a line of plus-size bridesmaid dresses? I'll require a size 14 or 16 depending on the fit (probably 14).
Also, I realize this is late and I may have to buy "off the rack" or via internet versus using a bridal shop. Any recommendations in the Philadelphia/So. Jersey area?
Noticed your plus-size??
I hate to be the one to tell you but the average size now in the states is a 14. I in no way consider that plus. Oh, to be a 14 again. See shoulda checked before hand- now that is not politically correct because it makes us hefty girls feel sad!
My DH had one on his shoulder about that size
He had to have it removed and did well afterwards.
My 17 yo DS wears a size 14...
my DH and 19 yo DS wear size 12. There are lots of big-footed men in my house, and I'm constantly tripping over their enormous shoes.
You can't do anything to keep their feet from getting bigger. Just get to know places like DSW and Zappos!
My 8 y/o is a size 5, but she's SHORT...
for her age! I really hope she grows into her feet soon, looks like she has clown feet :) She's only 4 ft 3 in., but has some of the biggest feet for her age.
You mean in clothing size? 12 to 14? nm
.
Try going up or down in band size.
For example, try a 34 DD or a 38 C. When you go up or down in band size, it changes the size of the cups. I ended up having to do that and you'd be surprised how different the cup sizes are when you adjust the band size.
That bathroom's about the same size as

great selection, comfortable, plus they have workout clothes.
By small, I mean size 7 or under. I only wish I was.

Why are big size shoes always
Short people don't have big feet, tall people do.
I have seen clothes that were like size....sm
20-something. I thought any store that carries plus sizes would carry up to very large sizes. At least that is what I thought. Maybe I am wrong.

I don't remember my dress size
being asked on any job applications. Are they supposed to be able to tell over the phone? Of all places to say this - around a bunch of people whose employers have, for the most part, never seen them!

Average size woman
Just heard that the averge size woman in America is 12 to 14. Finally, I am above average in something.
average size of women
I belive this used to be the average size when I was a kid in the 50s and early 60s. I remember helping my mom shop for dresses and patterns for dresses and she wore a 12. My mom looked no larger or smaller than most other women those days even though she was small boned and wore petite size or whatever it was called then. Of course, they could have changed the way they figure sizes since then. She looked healthy and normal.
What is the weather, What is the price, size, etc. sm
I am freezing up here. Would love to be able to buy and not rent.
Maybe they are tired of the "fashion" for +size sm
If you are not overweight, you have no idea how hard it is to find fashionable clothing that fits correctly for a reasonable price. And if they are younger women you are seeing, they probably do not want to wear the shapeless clothes and muumuus that every store offers for larger women. They want to wear what everyone their age is wearing. Unfortunately, they can't find it in their size, so they buy too small and wear it anyway.
There are as good looking clothes for + size as
for the smaller sizes. Check out the shopping channels, QVC and HSN, same price for small and then the +sizes. No reason for looking tacky and wearing clothing 4 sizes too small, just none at all, sorry.
I was posting above and have found that being a size
20 myself, I do the majority of my shopping on the shopping channels. I do not care for any clothing at Lane Bryant and lots of the other stores might have the bigger sizes but most dull until you get to Catherine's. They are more expensive so except for my black jeans at Kohl's (Gloria Vanderbilt) I buy almost exclusively for blouses, sweaters, coats, etc. from the shopping channels. The clothing is all the same price for very small as well as 3+ and very pretty.
With a body like that, hmmm you could also do
porno but just not the way I would want others to see me. Sorry, I have family that I just would not want to shame them much less myself. Just not an exhibitionist here.
Bath and Body sm
My DH got me some B/B red leather collection stuff, makeup bag, manicure/pedicure set (awesome) and a little purse which came with Moonlight Path shower gel and body lotion. I already had the overnight bag and the tote. I just can't get enough of that red - I'm a bling, bling girl all the way!!!
Well maybe the body but NO WAY that face.
I'd rather be fat and pretty. LOL
you should really do that...keeps a body busy. NM

Body aches
I've been transcribing for 5 years, and my body hurts all the time, seems like.
How do some of you girls do this for 10, 20, 30 years and still function? I have back aches, shoulder aches, neck pain, headaches, forearm aches. I've tried different chairs, keyboards, body posiiton, and it's the same.
Currently, I'm going to school, and I just can't wait.
I have my office at the end of the hall, and it's like Hell is at the end of the hall. Sometimes, I just hate this room. I don't even come in here on my days off, even if I have to use the PC. I look around this room, and just think, "How can I dislike a room so much?"
HOW do you girls do it for so long?
Neutrogena body oil
Works really well for me. I put it on after taking a shower and towel drying. I use it every day when it first starts, then taper it down to every other day, etc. as tolerated and use regular lotion on the inbetween days.
I find Mary Kay and Avon products are great for sensitive dry skin too. I like Mary Kay lotions and the Avon Skin So Soft is nice too but prefer Neutrogena or the Wal-Mart brand body oil because it seems to soak in faster and not leave me feeling greasy.
