for me I would rather die. What is life without the freedom to even go for a ride in the car or stop for coffee, walk in a park, etc.

It all depends on the airtime cards you get
My husband got one that lasts a whole year, but when the year is up no matter how many minutes were left (he hardly uses his) he would have lost them if he didn't purchase another airtime card. I get mine every three months so I have to buy a new airtime card every three months before my expiration date or else I lose my minutes and I believe the whole phone has to be reactivated.
"Food stamps" now are paid on EBT cards - federal EBT cards which look the
have the option to have their pay on an EBT card as well.
She may well have been using her family's federal EBT card and working for the government for a living.
Or, if she is a foster parent, those children will receive state benefits and she could use an EBT card for food assistance.
Everything is not always what it appears to be. I'm sure you're a nice person, right?! See?! We wouldn't know any better if we believed the appearance you have given here! :)
An exercise to try
Try putting one leg up across the other one and lean forward, leaning back and forth, then switch legs. That is supposed to help with that sciatic nerve kind of thing. Hope it helps you. It does me. Hope you feel better.

Have you got a dog?
I've got a 120 pound Great Pyrenees (kinda looks like a polar bear). I run/walk with him a coupla times a day...before my 6 a.m.shift, lunch time, after my shift is usually the longest walk, then again before bedtime...We just wander around the woods....If he smells a squirrel fart and I'm not looking directly at him he'll trip me up or pull me in a ditch/sinkhole. Also have a 12 lb cat that walks with us and tries to "sneak" the dog (hides in the bushes and darts out sitcking his tongue out as if to say "Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah! You're on a string and I'm not!). Keeps ya on your toesI
It is cheap and quite a workout. Cat
Get some exercise
It will help tremendously. I start to get tired if I go more than a day or two without running on my treadmill or hitting the weights at the gym. It will help tremendously. As someone else said, it might not be a bad idea to get your thyroid checked out.
Looking for music to exercise by - sm
I received an iTunes gift card for Christmas and am looking for music I can download to my iPod to exercise by. I'd really like exercise-specific music that includes a slower song or two for the warmup, then a steady faster rhythm for 30 minutes or so and then another slower song for the cooldown.
I suppose I could create my own list, but it would take me way too long to figure out 30 minutes' worth of songs with the same basic rhythm!
Any help sure would be appreciated. I'm so tired of feeling guilty every time I walk past the treadmill that I just "had" to have.
The exercise thing is probably right on...
I have had oodles of tests to rule out thyroid, anemia, and even Lupus and Lyme. I did get something positive on the connective-tissue studies but never followed up on it because of financial issues and not feeling all that crappy to worry about it. However, now that you mention it, I did feel better when I was walking down my road in the warmer weather, so that may be it! I do get exercise doing chores, but it's a different kind of exercise...not the "me" kind I guess you could say. I've got some DVD by Leslie Sansone that does a mile or 2 miles and I think I'll give it a go. Can't hurt, right?
Thank you so much for the advice! Always helps to have a second set of eyes to look at something in a new way! It's much appreciated!
exercise question
I am 48 years old, been sitting on my rear for years doing MT. I have exercised for years, but always sporadically. I don't need to lose weight, just need to tone. I'm so flabby, it's disgusting. I have recently taken up walking/jogging, but admit I can only jog for about a minute, then have to go back down to walking, then after I've caught my breath, can start jogging again, and so it goes until I've done 2 miles. I'm hoping to build up my endurance to run farther soon. My question is, is this really a good overall exercise to help me tone? I'm also using free weights for my arms, and I can actually see a little bit of a change, but it's happening very slowly, which of course is to be expected as it took them a long time to become unconditioned. Anybody have any advice? Thanks!
exercise question
Thank you very much! I appreciate the tip.
How much exercise have you had in the last 3 weeks?
The kind of exercise where your rib cage actually has to expand as far as it can go?
That kind of exercise causes relaxation, and relaxation is an antidote for anxiety attacks.
I was also helped by learning relaxation with biofeedback and I also take Effexor. Not everybody can take that though.
I sit on exercise ball .... sm
and I balance just fine with foot pedal. I dont' sit here for eight hours on my ball. Sometimes I switch out my chair and my ball. Just depends on how my bottom is feeling. I too sometimes sit with my leg folded under my other leg while working, but that's not good for your veins. I have really bad vericose veins (that's another story!)
good luck!
You can but no one else can? Exercise those rights

Exercise tapes or CDs
Does anyone use any exercise tapes at home that they like? Thinking of getting one but there are so many. I need to tone.
I know diet and exercise are important as
well as cutting out sugars, bread, etc. I'm doing that and have been for a while. Please keep your comments to yourself. I'm asking a simple question about a "certain named product"- is it that difficult to answer without stating your "opinions" or telling me what supplement you use? I don't remember asking for your recommendations?
Do strict low carb of 20 a day and exercise -
That weight will come off and you will be well on your way by August if you do cardio exercise and also do weightlifting. I lost 20 pounds on low carb 4 years ago and have kept it off, though I normally eat around 50 carbs a day now and NO refined carbs whatsoever. You have plenty of time. You can do it!!!
Poll time ....do you exercise? sm
I make sure that I walk at least 1 mile 3 times a week. It's not as much as I should exercise but it beats nothing. What about you?
you will not lose weight without exercise.
nm
yes, exercise will definitely make a difference

Exercise with him or sign him for karate or something like that. Needs to do

exercise helps tremendously
even bike riding on crisp days is a sure way to feel alive again. On cloudy days it brightens my day. I hope you find your outlet :)
Same one every year - exercise & eat healthier!

I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this. Exercise. sm
Okay. I am overweight by about 30 pounds. A week ago I got back on the treadmill and started walking/jogging for about 20-30 minutes - 5 days a week. This is week 2. I'm very motivated. Will get on the treadmill in a few minutes. I'm not seeing any results. haha Don't laugh. I know it's early, but here's my question and dilemma. I have NO desire to change my eating habits. None. Zilch. In fact, don't tell me I have to do it because I won't. I don't eat a whole lot, I just eat whatever I want. I don't eat late - not after 6, usually. I do like an occasional Coke. I like chocolate. I otherwise eat healthy, but until Jan of this year I have done NOTHING in the way of exercise for years. Just kept having kids and sitting on my bum.
When can I start seeing results and do you think that I can see results by working out this much and NOT changing my eating habits. It's a psychological thing. I can't do it right now. I just can't. And what makes it worse (the eating part) is when I fail (which is EVERY time) I beat myself up afterwards and feel worse than before. With this jog/walking thing, I feel GREAT. I feel more energy already and I actually am enjoying the time alone doing it.
Anyone have experience with this?
They say "If your dog is fat, you're not getting enough exercise!" :) sm
I have a somewhat-tubby Border Collie and a normal Australian Shepherd. Aussies are "self-feeders", meaning they only eat when they're truly hungry, but the Border Collie would eat a cow if she could get her mitts on one. I need to get a handle on her diet, I know.
I walk them, but it's prolly not aerobic enough. We stagger down the street from bush to bush and I can see my neighbors shaking their heads, saying "He must drink, my dear. Oh, yass. Probably mops the stuff up. Why, just look at him stumbling around, right out in public! Poor Mrs. TechSupport - she must have the patience of a saint!"
Exercise really helps. At least an hour a day. Gets those

so, did you bring the dog to your yard?
nm
yard sale
It's not junk.....They're treasures! Trying to gear up, wash, tag and display it all is quite a task....But, you'll have cleaned out your garage and/or storage unit, enriched someone else's life with your old treasures and made a neat profit.
ps-.Watch out for the earlybirds in their fancy cars,,,,they're ruthless. Cat
Maybe the dog got out of the yard by accident. You don't know
all of the facts, so I would think it would be hard to blame the owners right off the bat.
Yes you definitely MUST have a fenced in yard....sm
They are the absolute worst to wander off because they just want to sniff and sniff for rabbits. I have a fenced in back yard so she can't wander off.
at a yard sale
met my fiance when my daughter and his niece were having a yard sale in his front yard - they called me to come and bring them blizzards from DQ - they had a feeling we would hit it off - been together ever since - almost 4 years. .

Have you mowed your yard yet?
We haven't, but it needs to be. DH has a new mower, well, new to us; his dad bought a new one and gave him the old one. It needs a belt or something, so he has to get that done before he mows. The old mowers are junk! We mowed them to death!!
Lots of people mowing around here already though, and the air has the nicest smell in the evenings! When we go anywhere, I roll the window down so that I can smell the cut grass throughout town. Such a fresh springy smell in the air!
it is called a yard
wait until a common pay day and haul your stuff in the front yard!
Exercise for at least 45 minutes in the evening. Will unwind

I thought it was very interesting. Quite an exercise for the mind:-)
Wouldn't the exercise of free will also include
his right to determine what is and what is not a "sin" for HIM? Is he also not free to determine that the relationship is irreversibly doomed because it got off on the wrong foot? Do you think a therapist can or should talk him out of that? Is that a better way to launch into part 2 of the affair?
It is possible, since he clearly stated it was "the hadest thing he ever did," that he is not and will not get past the pain it caused for both of them. Why does wanting a fresh start make him into a Mr. Milquetoast who needs therapy?
Bottom line here. If it's not right for HIM, then it's not right for THEM.
Did my fall yard work!
I took out three evergreen bushes that for some reason developed fungus. I replaced two with the round Little Giant arbivortae bushes - so cute. I couldn't do three because the third would have died from too much shade. I did put a Japanese iris in that spot. I put in a cute ornamental pepper plant. It has tiny peppers on it that are purple, red, orange, and yellow, so it's pretty funny. I surrounded it with purple pansies and orange pansies. I had to remove some sod to make room for these in my central bed. (Stupid Bermuda grass). I tidied up some other bushes, but was afraid to prune the azalea because I think it might be the wrong time. Besides, it is guarded by a huge yellow and black spider. I allow her to live because she never moves since DH explained to her that she can't live by the light at the front door. She is HUGE.
I'm very tired now and I think I have a sore throat, but hopefully the yard will look good when the kids and parents come trick or treating.
Anybody else do some good yard work? I suppose leaves are already falling up North.
Boy, I bet DH hopes it's the yard work! LOL

My community demands that we keep our yard
free of the bugs and weeds and we were infested with grubs this past year. We have spent a lot of time trying to rid our yard because they do so much damage. The management came by while this was going on and sent letter that we try to remedy the problem. I have to use these, sorry but I do like a nice lawn.
My community does not allow yard burials but
i have like a flower place in my back, no one can see from either side and if my pet dies, would definitely bury there and then have some flowers also there. No one can see into the back of my place, wooden area between me and the others!!
Had our neighborhood yard sale on Sat.
and while one Mom had her back turned her daughter sold a $118 Lee Middleton doll for $2. Guess the person knew what a find they had becuase they high-tailed it out of the neighborhood. What a rotten person!
Don't yard sale the Bakelite.
Bakelite is very popular and expensive to buy (unless things have changed in the last year). My husband got $500 for 4 bracelets and 2 pins.
There is a way to test the items without harming them using an everyday household product, but I can't remember what it is...I know, no help. Maybe you can Google and find it.
P.S. Also our back yard is fenced in
All our neighborhood cats seem to be indoor cats, and we have very few free-roaming dogs.
Can you tell I'm scatter-brained today?
Yard sale, need pricing help
I have some paint by number pictures that I do not want to keep (these are the ones already painted.) These are the old ones, probably from the 50s. I had heard these were sorta collector items but has anyone sold or bought any of these and if so, what is a good price to put on them for my community yard sale coming up? Thanks.
Community Yard Sale
I posted earlier on here about ideas about having yard sale. Someone said for early birds to put sign out saying everything before 8 double the price. Well, that sounds good but in reality one of the first about 7:30 this morning before all set out got indignant that I would have a sign out like that, stating she had been to sooo many sales before and did I want to sell or not? Not was basically my answer. I did this because I had never been involved in my community yard sale but it was so much effort and very little return. I even had a Hispanic ask me would I mind if he used the bathroom in my backyard- told him someone back there and besides that my neighbors would mind. My community has high end homes and besides that, there are laws against things like that. Oh well, live and learn.
I've seen the red bellies in my yard eat
corn off the corncobs I have out, and they also even landed on the ground a few times to pick up peanuts.
My yard is a giant puddle.
It squishes like a wet carpet when you walk on it. I can't wait for spring! If those stoooopid squirrels will stop digging up my bulbs, the gardens are going to look great this year.
