Yeah, we were the dishwashers, remote and yes, we got the belt too. We had 4 channels - NBC, ABC, CBS and PBS - if the president was on, you were screwed. We both had bedrooms on the second floor with no air. We died in the summer.
I remember when Led Zeppelin was popular and released Stairway to Heaven. I had never heard of them and thought it was a person. My sister and I were in bed when the DJ announced the upcoming song and the band. I said to my sister "Who would name their kid Led"? Ah, those were the days.
I used to look out at the dusk and get bummed because dark was coming and we had to be in the house when it got dark.
And talking about to parents? Not unless you wanted knocked into next week. LOL.
I wish I had the energy that I did when I was young but I would only go back if I could keep the wisdom I have now.
