In Reply to: Huh?!!? I'm afraid "macho-man" here - is in the jaundiced eye of the beholder.

what a creepy username, sounds like right up the alley of Mr.TechSupport, trying to defind his weird story.

Is he jaundiced? Is he fatigued or tired? I believe these are the early sm
signs of cirrhosis and you didn't mention either of these.

I am the same boat with my husband. He has had elevated ASTs and ALTs for about 5 years now - keeps going up, and he is severely jaundiced. I pray, pray, pray that it is his gallbladder (as are you, I'm sure) because you and I both know that any liver damage/disease is very scary for them and for us too!

My husband is fairly young, in his mid 30s, but I know that liver disease can strike any age if you are unhealthy. He is unhealthy. Our PCP told him to make an appointment (finally) with a GI doc which I am going to do tomorrow. My husband has been putting me off from doing this (pure fear) but he knows he must be seen.

I am very, very concerned about the jaundice. His skin is yellow! It's been getting worse over the past 6 months or so.

Anyways, good luck with your husband.
All in the eyes of the beholder, if you
can make it past the smoke, cough, cough.
adorable? In the eye of the beholder!.....sm
I would not like to meet him at night in a dark alley!
