My situation is unique, I admit. I work with a lady who lives in my area. She and I know each other and we've done business together before.
She has her own accounts that she does on a regular basis and has done so for years. However, over the past few months, she's been getting a lot of calls from doctors' offices asking if she would transcribe for them. She was trying to be helpful, so she told them she would help them out if she could. She gave me a call and offered me the accounts and the rest is history!
No, she does not make a profit from the accounts I work, to be honest with you. Bottom line: She is a wonderful person, a friend, who knew that I needed a job that pays more than the ridiculous going rate of 5 to 7 cpl. She was gracious enough to share with me some of her connections. The only real profit she gains from her good deed is a blessing for doing something good for someone who was in a bind. In other words, she is a very generous person who is not comfortable with greed, and I am very thankful!!!
