through merger with MDI-FL

I originally started with MDI-FL in 2002. In 2005, MDI-FL merged with Transcend and I didn't feel a ripple. Pay rate didn't change. Managers didn't change. Employees didn't change. All of my coworkers stayed with the company. I believe I work with about 50 people. I think the company actually improved because of the technology. I haven't worked with VR. The accounts I work on stayed the same and have been the same for the past 8 years. Another improvement was moving the voice from Lanier and DVI to beyondtxt. I love it.

My company just merged....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
with Transcend and I am not really sure if this is going to be a good thing or not but I am crossing my fingers. But so far I have been pretty satisfied with my employer- 2 years and counting!
I think they said 2100 MTs after merger

Merger; yes or no answer please
Can anyone with knowledge say if the pcl pay I currently receive will remain the same with Transcend, part-time or not? Staying on straight transcription?
About MDI/Transcend merger
The only mergers/buyouts I've been through were in-house, so I'm not sure how this entire situation works via the remote world of MT.
If I'm interpreting this right, as of today we belong to Transcend; does this mean the next step on the agenda is that Transcend will contact us? Do we just keep working as usual until further notice? Do our payroll dates remain the same (i.e., will the pay period still end this Friday at midnight?).
I had thought we might all receive a mass email from Transcend outlining everything that went into effect today, but I've received nothing.
If anyone has any answers to the above questions or has been through this and can give me sort of a synopis of what happens along the way, I'd greatly appreciate it. Also, if anyone has received anything from Transcend regarding what changes might be in effect as of today, was it anything substantial?
Thanks so much!!!
on MDI merger, anyone feeling guilty?
I feel terrible for having copped such a bad attitude, ie, that we were sold down the river. Having settled down and really looked at those Q&A emails and considered our economy and the market and/or world as it is today, I am having a change of heart. The fact that MDI has done such a fine job of taking care of us and the business all this time, lends to my thinking why would they suddenly not care about us? It is not a perfect world and choices are not always easy. I do think we have been spoiled by MDI in such a good way that other companies look rotten. But I am hoping I am not alone and that more MDIer's will give this merger a chance. Happy labor day weekend my friends.
Current post-merger transcenders
I would like to hear from current transcenders, who became part of Transcend through a merger (like MDI-FL, etc).
Did transcend maintain your current line rate, and if you don't mind, were you making more than 9 cpl? If you were moved to VR, how did they calculate that rate? Did they tell you that all MTs receive say 50% for VR or did they just tell you what your individual line rate would be for VR?
Just to clarify, I'm not asking you specifically how much you make, but rather if they reduced the rate your previous company was paying you and how they determine the VR rate.
Hmmmm..I was afraid of that. I guess I saw that coming. Everyone said it'd change with the merger
and the days of a gift card would be gone. Oh well, it kind of goes along with everything else, different way to get shorted on line counts too. I guess ...This is what they call cutbacks. Tis' the season
8+ years for me (Rodeer days pre-Wbmx merger) and best COMPANY EVER. NM
