I don't think we work at the same place, but I have been working lots and lots of hours.
Very thankful to have a decent job.
Why would they give you a choice of 16 or 24 hours. Usually part time is anything under 37 hours.
That is extremely odd. Well they must have something up their sleeves. Well I will be working elsewhere part time as well as with MQ as I have no intention of sitting 40 hours with no work from Amherst and be expected to have 150 lph with no work. What is all this window of work time they said they would be giving everyone. I figured all along they would do away with SE. I have already been looking around and ordered a new computer to send theirs back.
Sorry, I work 15 hours a day 5 days a week and 5 hours the other 2, when I come here I dont proof.

HOW DO YOU GET OVER TIME IF YOU DON'T WORK 40 HOURS A WEEK?
That is a great gig you have going. Do you have to work weekends?
time to work offshore hours and grab
all you can away from the 'partners,' eh?
10-15 an hour for 8 hours is better than nothing for 8 hours when there is no work.

Can you tell me how many hours a part time person is allowed to work. Does it specify that at all.
I didnt quite understand that 8, 16 and 24 hour thing. I thought part time as long as you cut off before the full time hours you can work them.
I work at AMphion part-time and make as much there in 20 hours as I do at my FT job in 40
.
I used to work for them part-time -- I think 20 hours/week is the minimum. nm

Any companies with part-time clinic work/daytime hours? Thanks!! nm
nm
I personally can't sit for 4 hours at a time. I work 2 hous, sign off and take a short break.
It might just be fixing something to drink or starting a load of laundry. If you did something like that then you wouldn't have to worry about a disconnect and possibly losing a report.
That's exactly what I was going to say. Yes, I work at least 12 hours a day, sometimes 15 hours
to get all of my line count in because I have so many interruptions in my day. There is no way I would tell my company this nor expect them to pay me OT that they never asked you to do. Unless, I was called by my supervisor and asked to work extra for OT, I would never just take it upon myself to work and expect to be paid. If you were not authorized to work OT, then your not getting paid. Point blank. I do not work at TT, but I have worked at enough jobs, at home as an MT and otherwise outside of home, that all have the same policy, your paid OT when your asked to work it. It's it is just a case of not being able to get your required line count in 8 hours, then maybe your in the wrong profession or possibly just the wrong company/account for you. This just seems bizarre to me. Just tell yourself, your not getting paid for OT because they aren't approving it so don't work it. Again, if you were asked to work OT, told it would be OT, and then they ask you not to record it, I'd pitch a fit, but from what I see, you've done this on your own.
Any companies that allow line count rather than hours or less than 20 hours per week? (sm)
Wouldn't mind having something extra especially with Christmas and general winter expenses coming up but working a FT job and really don't want to do another 20 hours on top of that.
Why would anyone work 8 hours a week. The poster above said 16 or 24 hours a week.
:
Must we choose either 8, 16 or 24 hours. Why would they want someone only working 8 hours a week.
That is less than SE are required now.
MDI-FL. Approximately 7 hours a month x12 months =84 hours
And your PTO acrues from day 1. You are just unable to utilize it until after 90 days. They have excellent benefits.
You can have insurance at 30 hours with Encompass, 32 hours with eTransPlus. nm
Full time/part time based on # hours or
# lines per pay period, nothing to do with quality. The lower the quality the higher the pay it seems.
Full time is 40 hours, and yes they have part-time.
nm
do you know what part-time hours are
I mean what is the minimum - I need a part time to go along with my full time and may even switch completely after I get up to speed. I am good, been doing this quite a while. Would work evenings and probably one weekend day. TIA
Hang in there. Two hours is not enough time
to make a decision yet. You must train yourself just as you did when you first started out in transcription. Read the Editor manual. Use all the functions that are listed. It will get better, and yes you will make money. It does NOT take twice as long to do a report once you get the hang of it. It definitely takes less time to make a few corrections on a report than to type the whole thing. You cannot determine in two hours that you don't like doing it. Work on it for a month or two and get your speed up. Practice makes perfect and the speed will come, just like with anything else. Best luck to you, and don't give up!
See post re: hours at the bottom of this thread.
If it were, I woulnd't be complainin.
Anyone know what full time is for KS? Lines or hours? nm
x
Not sure about the 40 hours for full-time, but 11,000 lines per pay sm
period are required. I think right now they are hiring for Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday. You decide which shift/hours you want to work, and I tihnk they will allow you to do a split shift if you prefer. There is some flexibility in that you can let them know any changes you need to make, but generally you are expected to work the hours you commit to working.
The platform is ExText, which is Word-based and very easy to use. The insurance is very affordable, I think. You have a choice between Aetna or Coventry, and then 3 choices as far as coverage -- ultimate, choice, and standard. I have choice coverage with Coventry (single plan), and I think it is around $70 per pay period for medical, dental, and vision, with a $750 deductible, $15 copay for office visits.
Hope this helps!
For full time MedScribe, FL, do you just do 40 hours, sm
or is there also a line requirement? Do you punch a time clock? Do you have to work weekends? I don't see any mention of part time or IC status. Are they available? TIA.
Actually, we have all resumes caught up to within 24 hours at this time. nm

Can you get "full-time" lines in 24 to 32 hours?
My company didn't ask me how many hours I planned to work, they asked me how many lines I planned to do. I can do full-time lines in part-time hours and that's all they care about.
The good companies are out there. Don't give up.
Now you can not make your lines in 9 hours! More time for 2nd Job.

See last post; I didn't explain hours correctly
Are most part-time jobs with companies a few hours every day or are there
jobs that exist where you can work a few days during the week? If you can help, thank you!
FutureNet part time - how many hours required? (sm)
I understand they have a high percentage of ESL, willing to do that for flexibility and less than 20 hours per week PT. I would love just 8-10. Anyone know if it is worthwhile contacting Futurenet or know any others that hire limited hours PT?
The time card is a legal record for 40/80 hours
You record your shift hours whether you work 7 hours or 9 hours. You aren't going to get paid OT if you work 9 hours but spend only 6-7 hours or so actually working if you were out of work. If you work extra and OT is not approved you would not put it on your timecard. So just put your regular shift hours no matter when you work unless you can't work at all that day. Alot of the time I have worked 9-10 hours but just put 8-4. I missed a day when my husband had surgery so I obviously did not record my shift that day but I worked on my day off and entered the hours on my day off - but usually the thing to do is enter your shift 8-4 or whatever it is and don't worry about all the in's and out's. That's not necessary for the timecard.
Does Axolotl require 40 hours for full time
Also, what is the average most MTs type in a pay period? I know 12,000 is the minimum, but is it possible to type quite a bit more than that with their platform? THANKS!
Which companies consider full-time 35 hours per week? THX......nm

Any bigger companies out there that do 10+ hours flex time?
I'm looking for a job to supplement my income on top of my full-time MT job, but really need one that allows me to log on at any time throughout the week and do, say, 2,000 lines a week or 10 hours a week or something like that.
Are there any companies out there that still offer this or is it too much to hope for? Anyone have a company they would like to recommend? Thanks.
Transcend, is full time 40 hours or X lines?

Any info on what is full time for DRC? Hours or lines? Any flexibility? TIA. nm
xx
Yes it does, but 35 hours a week is all that is required to be full time and get bennies.
.
I am able to get my lines/hours in as long as I flex a little within my time window. (sm)
Are you hiring on now or just looking?
Webmedx PTO rate of 1.08 hours per payperiod and only for Full-time Employees
Webmedx only gives PTO and insurance to full-time employees. No PTO for the first 3 months, then something like 1.08 hours per pay period, starting at 0. If they run out of work or your ISP goes down or your child gets sick and you cannot get in the full 35 hours to qualify for full-time, they want you to use your PTO to make sure your hours add up to 35 that week. If you fall below 35 hours for 3 months in a row, no matter what the reason, they automatically drop you to part-time and take away your insurance. Then, you have to work a minimum of 35 hours for the next 3 months before you will be eligible for insurance again. As far as holidays, if the holiday falls on your scheduled work day, you have to work, unless you ask for it off in advance, but they do pay you for 8 hours of holiday at your normal rate, in addition to any lines you type that day.
Anyone know what full time is at Transtech? Lines or hours? Do they flex schedule? nm

T-C - full-time is 1000 lpd along with a "rough estimate" schedule of what hours you'll wor
It's pretty nice.
Can anyone tell me the required amount of hours/lines for part time per week for Focus? nm
nm
What hours do you work?
Also, which days? I was thinking of applying with this company. Maybe you could switch your schedule around a little.
They do want you to work the hours (sm)
you have committed to. If you do that, you shouldn't have any problems making your lines - minimum 6600 per week.
How many hours do you work
between the 3? I have enough trouble working part-time at one and taking care of 3 kids, a dog, my house and husband. How do you do it?
I work 35 hours
The schedules used to be based on 35 hours a week, 172 lines per hour. I don't know if this has changed with the new account. It is something you need to discuss with the recruiter/supervisor on your interview.
I type well above 12,000 lines per pay period. So, it is definitely possible.
and how many hours do you work...100? LOL
x
I only work 6 hours a day - M-F. nm
