If you are not willing to crosstrain
then it is your fault if you run out of work. Either you want work and to be paid or you can complain about no money when you are not willing to do what it takes to make it.

If there was a major MT or Editor error, all names would be copied on the email, including the lady at the facility, so surely when she would see names like Sringamurthy Jappathana she'd know it wasn't somebody local...lol

statement! Cherry pickers will be tolerated and the only people who suffer from it are the ones getting the crappy reports they skip. Statements like those are placebos, make you think they care or they're really gonna do something when all they really care about is the client and TAT. Long as it gets done, they don't care how or who.

learn from the lawsuits the Squid is tangled in, do you? If your MTs can't get an accurate line count, then an accurate line count cannot be billed. Any time a company acquires another company, there will be changes (I'm not saying good changes or bad changes, just count on changes).
I worked at an MTSO who seriously wanted Vianeta but passed on it because of the line inaccuracy issue as they did not want their stellar reputation in the community to suffer. (smart move).
Surely they pay incentive as well if it's a national.
Doubt they are responsible for your every event such acct assignment, workload. I would imagine they have mgmt do that.

The post made a VALID suggestion and if your response is to put up your dukes and run away, you'll never make it in this field.

If you really think about it, you are not allowed to use contractions in MT so my aprostrophes are not needed. There is no QA patrol on here so your little nitpicking about aprostrophes just goes to show that you have some sort of mental disorder and you really need help.

Secondary account
When I first started, I was put on a GREAT ER account that I love, but since it is only ER reports, they wanted to give me a secondary account in case the workload ever gets low on that account. I didn't even have to ask for a backup account. They gave it to me a day or two after I started because they didn't want me to ever run out of work. I got a HUGE hospital account as a backup and never run out of work. They are bot on the ExText platform and I love them both.

I do not work my secondary if it is also low (sm)
which it has been. I know we're told to work secondary if primary is low, but I don't think it's right for me to take away from somebody else's primary account if it's scraping the bottom of the barrel too. I guess that's why I'm spending 12 hours at my computer a day to get my line count.
A few years ago my secondary went to another company and (sm)
evidently some of the office people as well, they in turn gave the new company the names and phone numbers of us who had worked the account and the new company actually called many of us to solicit us as employees. I felt it would have been okay for me to switch, since I had had no control over the account coming or going, but I didn't feel it was right for some of the higher ups to be involved in soliciting us for the new company. If anyone was in the wrong, they were. They shouldn't have shared records and personnel information like that from one company to the other IMO.

I have also repeatedly asked for a secondary account. I am told each time, we will get you trained on one of these new accounts when they come aboard. Well, the new account comes on board, my account gets some work and I never get trained! Also, my supe loves to posts OT for my primary all the time, and seems soo shocked when the end of the week comes and our account is totally out of work!! DUH!! Do not post OT soo soon or for so long! I have given this company a try for now 9 months. I'm getting sick of this crap!

Webmedx secondary accounts
If you take on a secondary account, do you bounce back and forth between your primary and secondary based on turn-around times, or do you get work from your secondary only if there's no work on your primary? I'm pretty sure it's the former, but just want to be sure. TIA.

stat every blessed report they do, so I always get those immediately. It is TAT, but your STM can explain it in more detail.
I have been trying to be patient but have been working on my secondary account so much lately, I am
starting to think it's my primary. Been in the business a long time and understand slow times, but this has been a chronic problem for many months, so I understand poster's point of view. Stick it out if you can, if not, there are lots of other companies out there, but remember, the grass is always greener on the other side and you may be sorry you jumped ship. Hopefully you can find somewhere that will make you happy and feel appreciated.

My secondary account has been slow for weeks
but they gave me another account, so I'm good. My primary account has also been pretty busy these past few weeks. I guess this is just a slow time of year.

Have a main and secondary and almost always have work, but.. sometimes after OT has been offered (like this morning) I have nada. Think I need to be assigned a third account or be put on as a helper somewhere. I suppose I ask my team manager, are we allowed to request an account that looks busy, must it be an account in her Book of Business like with MQ. Any info before I make the call would be appreciated.

I have 5 accounts with Webmedx. I am always running out of work on the weekends because like you said they call for OT and then there is nothing left for us who do work the weekends to type while everyone else is getting more money for OT. Not very fair. Like the other MT said beware of what you wish for. different accounts with different account specifics is sometimes more trouble than it is worth. Haven't had a full paycheck for quite awhile.
Holy Cow -- all 3 of my accounts have work. One even OT. The secondary (sm)
one had been particularly low for weeks now and today there is a massive quantity. I wonder if maybe that hospital was trying out another service and just sending us a small amount. Whatever the reason, the work, at least for now has picked up greatly.
We are having KFC for supper so I can get in there and get a few of those OT lines while they last.
Hope everyone else is having good luck with their accounts also.

how many people were quitting, if they could maybe post on here (or maybe a less public place might be better) when they find a new job and when they plan on leaving. Might make more of an impact that way. I'm going to have to leave, but I don't have a new job yet. And I agree with you about not giving notice. They didn't give us any notice.

Some people just do not do well under pressure like that (verbal quizzes) regardless of how much they know. Get off of your pedestal.
We knew what we were saying
Both of us knew what we were saying without the extra 000's. I just looked at my chart notes and at 9 cents per line which is what I pay my subs you lost about 15% and so probably get about 7.5 cents per line. The first document I checked was a lot of letters and consults and so there were a lot of blank lines in that one -- which I do get paid for believe it or not -- so that was not a good comparison --forgot about that. But I just looked at a document that had 3830 lines and 2790 words and so you can compare that. But again I charge gross lines. Less per line but they much prefer the less per line than the more per line but less lines. I have weird docs. Good luck again.

Thank you so much for sharing. That is what I mean, the old bait and switch game. They reel you in, have you quit your current job, and then treat you anyway you want to. Just like 75% of the companies these days. And yes, lying to someone over the phone and the computer is easier for people. All I want in a company is work, paychecks, integrity, and honesty. And you sure wont get it here at JLG!!
