some people really want to be unaccountable for any responsibility, but want to make sure they have consistent work. I do not understand how some of you cannot understand why that is near-impossible while keeping both the MT and the account happy.

Well, the reason for 1000 lines a day is simple. They have to manage projections so that the MTs DO have plenty of work and do not run out and also so the account is not constantly out of TAT, therefore KEEPING the account.

It is simple really... just like any other job, independent or not, you need to be reliable...why is that so much to ask?

sorry, I truly do not mean to sound offensive...just trying to make a point that a company that has guidelines is not a BAD thing. They do not have you punch a clock. You get PLENTY of time to complete work on a daily basis, and they work with you if you need to alter once in a while for vacation, etc.
