I was in-house up until 1 month ago-we used Chartscript. Didn't have to really add any info to the demographics. You can copy/paste past reports also. Now I work with a vendor who also types for the same hospitals I did when I was in-house. Need to add a some demographics, but it helps that we can still pull up old reports to find a patient.
The pay with the vendor I work for is 11 cpl. However, now that I'm a vendor, the work is held from me and, of course, in-house gets first crack at the workload. For 3 weeks now, the hospital has been telling vendors to stay off or give us certain work types we can do and when to do them. Like I'm gonna wait all day for permission. 11 cpl is not worth it if you have not work.
