It is not making Indians scapegoats because we in the United States need to make a living. For many of us, our wages have dropped dramatically, though not so for the CEOs, etc. This is our country, we live here. India certainly does not send us any work and they certainly do not care if we make a living or not, or whether we transcriptionists in the US are being treated fairly in this. Many of us are having a very hard time paying our bills due to this offshoring and the lowering of our wages, and many of us try very hard to do a fine job, but there just does not seem to be any reward for that any more. Perhaps we are the scapegoats!

scapegoats
Tell me how many US hospitals would prefer to send their work to India rather than US? I am not sure where you got this information but I believe hospitals want to pass JCAHO rather than risk being closed due to the errors on reports from India.
The reason India may do more business is because American companies are allowing it because they want cheaper labor.

for United States greed? My company has more MTs in India than in the United States. The list of US hospitals that prefer the company send reports to India is shocking and makes me sick. But India is doing more to bring business to their country than we are to ours. Whose fault is that? It sure as heck is not the Indians.
