I, from now on as a patient, will specifically ask my personal physicians WHERE his dictation is done - if he says he doesn't know, I will ask him/her to find out. I WILL tell him that I do NOT want my dictation or my information going overseas. If the doctor will not call to find out, I will call the hospital or clinic to find out. This is in honor of all of the laid-off MTs, and to protest any more jobs being sent offshore. If we all do this, and tell our neighbors to do the same, maybe we can make a difference. Also we all need to email AAMT TODAY to protest the possibility of the head of AAMT going to Bangalore for a seminar regarding the future of transcription in India. If Peter Prezario is going, they need to get AMERICAN out of American Association for Medical Transcription. May as well just name it ANY FOREIGN COUNTRY FOR AMERICA'S MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION.
