just spoke to her - THEY DO NOT
NM
Spoke with them last Fri
and the recruiter told me that they don't really do part-time anymore. However, she also told me she would either email me over the weekend or call me Monday to let me know she had worked out a schedule for me...and that didn't happen. *pout*
I agree. I just spoke with NY and they said
an emphatic, "NO".
I did take their test and spoke with them sm
The dictators from the test weren't that bad and they are actually from the oncology acct I would have been on. I think the pay was about 8 cpl and you'd be an IC with a line requirement of 1500 a day. That's really all I can remember. I just didn't want to be an IC.
Very low pay when I spoke with them 1-1/2 years ago. nm

I spoke with her and she was very nice. (nt)
xx
You said you spoke to the owner.
You are not credible.
Why I spoke with the owner - sm
SHE called me, SHE hired me, SHE promised me a job at a certain rate, SHE gave me all kinds of excuses why the job never materialized and then I never heard from anyone again. Enough said.
I also spoke with the owner for the same
exact reasons. She called me, she hired me, she emailed me daily, she offered me account after account, which never materialized while I did crap work just waiting for her promises to be kept. Guess what? They never were!
Is that company you spoke of . .
Is that company you spoke of hiring IC? I have a part-time gig typing ER notes now and I'm not really happy there. Some QA people are so nice and polite and very helpful when you have a blank/question, but others are down right mean and rude -- very unprofessional. I have a ton of experience typing clinic -- not much ER. It is so hard to find companies that hire for clinic dictation and actually have enough work. The pool is almost always dry at the hospital. I really love typing ortho and oncology. Was hopeful to find full-time clinic work again in either of those two areas. I am so glad to hear from MTs who have found a light at the end of the tunnel. I worked for a few bad apples too. I get a lot of offers, but from crap companies. I was beginning to wonder if there were any good places left out there.
I got the call to and spoke with her...
The company's website is www.alsi-llc.com . She said she was looking for well versed rad MTs to work on VA hospital accounts..pay is 7 cpl.
ITA. I'm going one now who if he spoke up and wasn't
banging what s/l a stapler while dictating I might be able to do him. He has a very strong accent and I was halfway through the report before I learned the accent and after I finish I'll go back and relisten.
I spoke too soon I must need new glasses
.
I just spoke with the HR representative
on Friday. If you want her information, contact me directly and I can give you the information on who you might talk with.
I got a card and a gift.. as did everyone I spoke to
You may want to wait a few days and take that back.
I just spoke with the recruiter today.
They appear to be hiring for both Diskriter Employee status and Hospital Employee status. Im not sure why, but she only spoke to me about being an employee for Diskriter and benefits were cheaper than what I have been quoted from other companies, but still pushing up to $300 a month for family plan. I would like to know what the hospital employee benefits are like in comparison. Hoping to get clarification on this today.
I spoke with the gentleman from Transcription Inc this morning - sm
Their headquarters or corporate office is in Hot Springs, Arkansas. It is a start-up company, not in business yet. What else do you want to know?
You have GOT to be kidding. She was one of the nicest persons I ever spoke with regarding MT.
She is very upfront and open, and was even willing to discuss pay rate pretty much from the beginning, so I wouldn't waste time if the rate they could pay wasn't enough. I thought she was great.
I thought it was rude that they never spoke to me or let me test
Believe me, I have a lot of good experience and don't feel I am just entitled to a job. I am flexible on my hours and days and can do any work types. My equipment is state of the art.
It just really fries me to see these companies complaining about a shortage of MTs and then just brushing them off when someone good comes along. Do they really want quality MTs, or do they want newbies that they can pay nothing and walk all over?
The way I figure it, it is their loss, not mine.
The recruiter I spoke to was VERY misleading about holiday pay.
I never would have known (until it was too late!) about their holiday policy unless I had read it here.... I've tossed my notes from the interview but as I recall she said something about as long as you work your next scheduled day before and after you get time+1/2 on holidays. Could be wrong but anyway it left me with an impression apparently pretty different from the truth. I'm so glad I said, I'll think about it!
Hi, Any new info on Teletrak in California? Just spoke....
with the recruiter and she is super-nice, everything seems great for an IC, just wonder if anyone has worked for them and what it is like....doing a balancing act here, any info would be sooooo appreciated!
Not personally, but I spoke with a friend this morning and she sm
has a friend who went to work there recently and so far is very happy there. Hope that helps even though it is only from one source.
Hey great! I spoke with the recruiter yesterday and SM

Does Bayscribe have to be downloaded onto your computer or is it something you just call into? Thanks for ANY info. I will be ueing a C-phone, havent used one of those in years!
I just spoke with a company from New Jersey today...sm
Rude was not the word for this recruiter...My goodness, makes me think that is the norm in New Jersey. geez!!!

Re: Why would anyone be WILLing to slave over this work for 27-YEAR-OLD wages?
Actually would be correct to have just said regressive wages...

this isn't clear:
The corporations call the shots with YOUR Congress/government primarily because AMERICANS are so easily pacified and distracted by the toys these corporations made for that exact purpose.
They (corporations) call the shots because of their influence; and CONGRESS helped to give them that power in the late 1800s by passing certain laws which gave the corp. similar rights to individuals...
I mixed two thoughts originally...
Correction - sorry
feedback on that PROGRAM (i.e. Isagenix), not problem.
rad pay correction
I need to clarify this was only for emergency coverage and is temporary. My supervisor informs me that once we go to VR, only 2 inhouse full-time transcriptionists will be used and those positions are filled.
correction
meant same nonexistent or uncommon email service provider

Worked for them in mid 90s, not 80s....it's been a long day!

Whoops! I meant places, not placed.....
Correction...Not 12 cpl...
You'd have to make between 10.72 and 10.1 cpl for straight typing to make 7.5 cpl for ISR at Webmedx. I don't think a relative newbie with only 5 years experience is making over 8.5 cpl starting with Webmedx. Correct me if I'm wrong. I just don't believe it for a minute.
Just a correction...sm
your base rate is NOT $9....it is based on YOUR line rate, so for everyone it is different. I actually get quite a bit more than that. Also, Medware has more than one platform, so what is happening on the Dictaphone side is NOT necessarily happening on the Merit side, and not everyone is unhappy on the Dictaphone side. Not THAT many have left. Just so you know and can make an informed decision.
Correction.
Completely different atmosphere on CMX side.

Whoops, I meant to say I HOPE, not I CAN. It's way late where I am, so I had best pack it in for the night. Sorry for the error.

Correction to post - sm
I have also seen positive and negative things mentioned about virtually every transcription company discussed on this web site. Didn't mean to say companies that YOU discussed on this web site!!

OSI - I am so sorry - PLEASE NOTE CORRECTION
Note correction in CAPS
If you do control S for a job and click on statistics you will get a number of lines. If you are on OSI's very own line cheating Xpress server, that number will be much HIGHER (NOT LOWER) than the IChart line count. Do this. Do only one job for the day then write down the correct line count using the above method. Go to IChart although it may take hours to show up so you may want to do this on a day off. There is your proof. I-CHART LINES ARE LOWER THAN OSi X-PRESS LINES. The reason the correct statistics are disabled on the XPress server is because OSi is skimming lines and don't want you to see the correct number. OSI is diligently trying to eventually get every possible account on their very own XPress server so they can cheat on all accounts. Rest assured that they are billing the client for the correct line count. I could not make any money with OSI because of their dishonesty. Dictaphone Extext is a good system but OSI could change how it was set up and rip the MT's off.
Correction - sorry for confusion
I apologize for not checking this before -- I just found a problem with my suggestion, so here's the deal:
You are better off forcing the format - as you did to h:mm:ss (or hh:mm:ss), to ensure that all cells display consistently. This does force you to have to enter more digits for hours though.
There is a shortcut for entering data -- for 00:05:12 (5 minutes, 12 seconds), you can type: 0:5:12
For 00:05:01 you can type 0:5:1
This may be more foreign than just adding the extra leading zero, but if you're hyper about cutting every keystroke, you can....
Then when you add down a column, there's nothing special to do in the sum.
Sorry for any confusion.
Holidays correction
I'm sorry the above poster is right. If you want off you have to take it without pay or use PTO. You get paid extra if you work the holiday...which to me is a bonus as so many don't pay anything extra for holidays. Sorry for the confusion.
Whose QA gets paid per correction?
We get paid hourly, although I do know there are some who get paid per line. The folks I know paid per line get credit for the full report, not just their corrections. They also are the first blamed if a client reports an error in a report that has passed through QA.
