If you are a recruiter and make next to
nothing, then I would get out. See what I earn below.
It takes a person with a flare for dealing with people and who is patient. You must be able to relate well with the MT profession and be an outgoing individual. You also must give a lot of yourself to the position.
Hasty and Recruiter does not a good combo make!
Many are bad enough when they aren't hasty, with the evasive answers, with us getting a reality check from what we were promised and what really is once we've committed ourselves to the company. I wouldn't take the job myself. I don't trust a hasty recruiter. Something sounds fishy. A more reasonable answer would be that he/she would get back to you with answers, not just skirting the topic. Not good. If the recruiter doesn't know the details of what they are recruiting for, that's not the sign of them representing a good company.
SOP means Standard Operating Procedure.

TT new account is cardiology, procedure junk that you cant get lines on.
So, it is working for nothing practically. Just a new account on board for TT.
To state that an infertility procedure is "completely unnecessary" is 110% OPINION... sm
Would you tell a childless couple that are suffering emotionally if not physically, financially, & spiritually (like we did)that having a family is a totally elective concept that is completely an unnecessary part of life? Please try to have some compassion. Unless you've personally been there, you would know that struggling from infertility effects every aspect of your daily life. For me it was also a mental issue and it took counseling for me to have the ability to let it go. I'm glad my counselor did not tell me that my maternal desires were elective and unnecessary. My husband suffered from performance anxiety because we had to schedule intimacy, so it was a mental issue for him to.
There are 10 major body systems, the reproductive system being one of the most complex. Who is to say that someone with a nonfunctioning reproductive system shouldn't have the same right to health care/insurance coverage as a diabetic (endocrine) or patient with Parkinson's (CNS)??
These are cardiac procedure notes that will only be 1-liners or 2 on a horrible new account.
That does not even begin to compensate the MT for the demo fill-ins and the time that it takes to type those short reports. But hope some TT MT makes money on these reports this weekend.
pregnancy is a disability when you have complications/C-section/ and even child birh is a procedure.
So just because you didnt get money for your pregnancy, then just get over it.
I had a horrible time with both of my pregnancies and could not work even though I wanted and needed to.
People can get off of work for 6 weeks for drug treatment, mental angious, etc. Those are not disabilities but are conditions that warrant time off.
I think someone is turning green with envy and doesnt handle life well.
lmao!! yeah maybe I'm the recruiter...suggesting that my co-worker is the problem. yeah that make

Maybe it is spelled MedQuist but...`
look in the column to your left I do believe they spell it Medquist.

I spelled "whole" wrong..........
half asleep at this hour
Think I could have spelled "thing" correctly.....LOL. NM

I know that it's Diskriter (you spelled it wrong x2)
and that gotten isn't a word and you have a sentence fragment from ****. Might want to hone those skills if you plan to keep a decent job. QA will eat you alive -- not being rude ... just being truthful.
the person spelled "have" wrong
/
anyone know of a company that is spelled something like ATOTLOL (close to that)?
also would appreciate the correct spelling. Any information you have would be appreciated.
yes, spelled questionnaire wrong but I am not applying for a job on here and cannot sm
use spellcheck !
Sorry, spelled platitudes wrong and it actually is not the right word. nm
Sorry, spelled platitudes wrong and it actually is not the right word. nm
the add on job seeker's board had several words spelled incorrectly.nm

Yeah, yeah, I spelled health wrong -
I am very angry right now and my fingers are taking it out on the keyboard.
You are wrong! Here is the ad. I got it too. There are no words spelled wrong and the caps are pa
This is pasted from the bottom of the email blast.
Why are you trying to stir up trouble? Keystrokes does not send ANYTHING offshore.
Here is the email blast from ILHIMA. The KS logo is at the top but does not paste here:

you spelled quality qualitily maybe that is why you have quality issues.
Sorry, but even spell check misses stuff. You have to at least be able to spell to do this job. Well, you don't have to know English if you are Indian, but us Americans have to spell!
I doubt you will make enough money in 5 hours a week to make
nm
I make 4 cents a line, work part and make
over $500 a week on part.
Great post! I make 0.085 at Keystrokes and make more than at any sm
other company in the last 5 years. Why? Because there is always work for me. I love starting work each day, knowing that the company I work for appreciates me and has plenty of work. Transtech and Keystrokes sound very similar; those of us that work for either can count our blessings that we are not part of the cesspool or huge corporate mess that makes up the biggest few companies. We do not have to worry about our jobs getting sent overseas and we see a future in this business!!!
Yeah, but we don't make what docs make. nm
nm
But we don't even make what in-house make.
It would be different if we made the same as the in-house MTs. In a lot of cases, most of the people working in-house make much more including benefits than we do at home as full-time employees. That's where I think the unfairness comes in. The in-house employees don't all work every single weekend. Most of them rotate at a much higher salary and much better benefits. The MTs at home are expected to fill in for the in-house for less money, less benefits and give more and more back in the form of weekends and holidays. Most remote MTs only receive benefits contingent on production, and even then they're not nearly as good as in-house benefits. How is that equal in the healthcare team perspective?
you might want to make sure you don't make yourself look like an IDOT before you go any further.

I make $1.10 per report and make much more sm
than by the line. Day by day it varies and goes back and forth, but over a long period, it is better by the report. Make sure they pay links though; this is key.
Do Shapin MTs really only make 6 cpl and QAs make 1.5 cpl?
/
Why can't you make money with all OPs? I do all OPs and make
good money. I'm not with WebMedX though.
I'm happy with what I make. I still make more than if I went anywhere else and hardly noone in th
biz gives raises so I feel blessed that I make a lot more than most, raise or no raise.
And always make sure you don't make line
counts that amount to anything. They always place you with impossible ESLs as soon as you start making decent money.
Not a recruiter...
In fact, no longer work for Spheris, but only because working 20 hours PT in addition to my FT job became too much. I cannot compare it to other nationals as I haven't worked for any others, but it was a good experience for me in many ways; good accounts, good supervisor, pay always on time.
Not every company is going to be a good fit for everyone.
Recruiter
damage control at its finest
recruiter-can't believe she said that. SM
I had one recruiter say to me, because I worked for a big national: "You must not be a very good Transcriptionist if you're working for them!" I said "EXCUSE ME! I have almost 30 years experience and have outstanding quality and can back that up." I told her straight out that her comment really offended me. Needless to say, that turned me completely off on that company and I did not pursue employment there. Too bad. They missed out on a great transcriptionist. Their loss.
Recruiter said they will
I was hired a few weeks ago and the recruiter said that they pay headers, footers and spaces. I don't know if it counting them or not. The platform is terrible and the sound quality is even worse.
recruiter
what recruiter quit?
As a recruiter
I would like to tell you that I look for blanks on tests. I do not count that against an applicant, nor should anybody else. It is always better to blank a word than to guess at it. A blank says I don't know for sure and do not want to guess. It basically lets a recruiter know that you know when to ask for help.
OR their new recruiter. LOL!!!
LMAO
Are you a recruiter?
x
are you a recruiter?

Not a recruiter either
Just a plain ole MT. Check out their website for recruiting info. Don't think we're allowed to post names and numbers here.
What does it take to become a recruiter?sm
Boy some of these recruiters!!! Just what does it require to be a recruiter.Just got an email from one and my goodness at the grammar!!! Hard to believe.
That too. It is not a sin to tell a recruiter that you are not
sure. Being honest is the best way. Recruiters are trained in knowing how to evaluate what knowledge you have. The trained ones can tell.
Ask the recruiter
nm
The recruiter won't tell you
The recruiter won't tell you it is difficult to get a linecount. Also, not sure who the new recruiter is. They lost a lot of people when making the decision to train in Trinidad. The company used to say they would never offshore and they had a decent reputation and were a good company to work for until the owner got money hungry. The company had been started by his late wife and obviously her ideals of keeping the work here became unimportant to him after awhile.
Was this recruiter's...sm
I had a similar thing happen to me recently.
Ex-recruiter is exactly right (sm)
If you are an organized recruiter all of this can be accomplished in a short period of time. All it takes is good organization, attention to detail and professionalism. Anyone who expresses an interest in your company deserves a response.
Recruiter ads
I have seen 1 ad on the boards for recruiters wanted. You could always just send in a resume to the nationals with that information on your resume - that you are applying for recruiter position.
Recruiter
Hi,
The company I am working for now is actually looking for 2 recruiters. Please email me if you are interested.
