I am relatively new to at home transcription having previously worked in an office for an hourly salary.I too, have noticed many negative general post on this board.In office (at least where is was) and at home are 2 different worlds. I was never before on production. I never had to worry aboutline counts, expanders, characters per line etc.

I have been embarrassed to ask some of the questions I have asked because they seemed to scream stupidity. That being said, every time I have posted something dumb about productivity etc I have been OVERWHELMED with the kindness of strangers. Many have posted on the board, emailed with responses, discussed Expanders and a few even allowed me to call them for production tips. People have offered many kind words and have been very encouraging you will get there etc. I have also noticed some of these same people helping others on the board.

My personal experience on this board has been that I have never met kinder, more knowdledgable people who went out of their way to help others. It is a shame some of the negative posts seem to dominate.

Maybe it is as Shakespeare said I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him. The evil that men do lives after them, The good is oft interred with their bones; So let it be with Caesar. ... Do not let the bad live and forget the good.

Thanks for your kindness. I did check, and it just says we are paid on sm
the 15th and the last of the month, and that if they fall on a Saturday or Sunday, we are paid on the following Monday. However, the 31st was on a Sunday, and we were paid on the Friday before, plus with the following Monday being a holiday, I was just hoping � hopes and dreams, one of the few things that are still free

Transcend - kill us with kindness while we starve to death.
Suddenly getting chatty e-mails and calls from my supervisor who never had the time of day for me before. Of course the work has disappeared before I can get off the phone or get through the ridiculous e-mail updates about the weather, the kids, the in-laws, but nothing of substance and no helpful information is ever sent. Guess they want us to say kind things about how nice they were after we are forced to quit and get different jobs. This is one strange company.

OMG, if simple kindness was a job requirement, I swear some of you would starve to death!
Members here should be required to have one sign on name only. At least then people would have the opportunity to ignore the trolls. It boils my blood when a person comes here for help just to receive hateful replies. Spelling isn't the issue and if it was, you wouldn't be considerate enough to care. You just look for any opportunity to be pissy. Get a life.
