It's a rumor. They have growth plans, not selling plans. nm
I think they want to be bigger than Spheris, not bought by Spheris, and if they continue to grow in the next few years as in the last few years, I think they can.
Good company, with good incentive SM
pay scale, decent health plan for full-timers, lower end for other benefits, well organized and dependable, good platform, good support. Very heavy ESL, medium-sized community medical centers, relatively high SR pay rate because it takes longer overall to clean it up. However--good producers who put in a good workday make quite good money here.
They have a very good incentive
plan, even better than MQs old incentive plan.
E-Transplus has a good incentive plan
Even extra money if you do all your lines in your schedule every payperiod, extra money for shift differentials, plus a generous incentive tier. Also great benes.
Incentive tier isn't so good when it's hard to make lines. I'm about
nm
Very good company. Incentive pay for production plus shift and weekend differentials. sm
Their platform is stable (proprietary, I've been on it for about a year and a half now). Pay is always on time. Good support staff. Their insurance changed this year. Plenty of work. They don't overhire on their accounts from what I can see. If anything, there is always plenty of work, which I like because I can hop on outside of my regular shift and get some more lines. Now that they pay extra for weekends, I like to pick up some extra hours then.
try 35 yrs, honey, and they ALL say
commensurate with experience.
eeeehhhhh-not-so-much.
I am not your honey...please be more professional (nm)
xx
oh honey, not in the same position at all.
there are things about my company I don't like either but I can deal with the good and the bad and have enough common sense not to stick around a place that I hated so much I had to come here and vent about it everyday! Just like staying in a bad relationship, too many women make themselves martyrs hoping things will change for the better and don't know when to get out. Your job is to type, do ESLs, learn VR and don't be a dinosaur and not expect to have to change with the times....if you don't like your company, move on, plenty of fish in the sea! Or better yet, find something else to do, no matter how much it pains you!
honey, this could be any given company out there. NM
.
Honey, you are running yourself DOWN...sm
Why do you even bother to come her to try to explain your ridiculous ad, you must not be busy enough either, to be on this board and if you feel you have to explain your job ad, oh well!!!!!!!! You will only get flamed and torn to pieces with this mess.
Honey, you go ahead and gripe
all know they stink and that they are thieves. I hope you can find a new position soon. Good luck to you, but please, please get away from SS.
Honey, I've been an MT 25 years. I never
that I post on a message board, but if you look at my work, it is top notch. That's why I have contracts with local hospitals. I have my own accounts. Can you say the same? No, I doubt it.
I think the recruiter is WRONG to encourage people to cheat.
You couldn't be more wrong, honey!
Mine only show my moniker!
You're the one answering, honey. LOL
nm
It's not the kind of press ya want, honey!
Hope you have a happy holiday after this!
Honey, I am glad to have a job with ANY company!
In this economy, I don't date try to pick and choose based on whether a company outsources or not. If I owned an MTSO, I'd probably be outsourcing too because too many American MTs are prima donnas who think that just because they work from home, they should have freedom and not have to work a schedule.
Nobody is taking a job from me. There are PLENTY of MT jobs for every qualified American MT who wants one. Get over yourself.
thanks MEMT, hang in there honey...sm
I won't say it gets better, you just learn to trudge through it. Some days are worse than others. My husband and I were very close, and he was such a hands on Dad. He cooked, cleaned, took the kids out so I could have a break, pick spats with me just to keep it a little crazy, etc., etc. Because of the situation of his death, which was caused by someone who was supposed to be his friend, I do feel robbed and so do our kids, especially because everybody knows what the guy did, we just can't prove it. So I am also telling you too, hang in there, it will all work out the way it is supposed too. Just don't forget to be a mom to your kids, they still have a lot of learning to do. When you feel like you cannot type another letter, think about those kids, they will get you through anything.
Neither honey. Just a grown woman
who does her job and doesn't act like a child who doesn't get her way. Hmm, maybe that's why I can get my lines in during a regular 40 hour week and don't have to whine and complain about every single thing that doesn't suit me. This board has become the poor me, feel sorry for me, I hate my company but I have no guts to go somewhere else or learn something new board.
You hae the wrong MDI honey. We use Bayscribe, MDI-FL uses Meditech. nm

Honey, I have been an acute care MT for 25 years.
For one thing, most of acute care is NOT elective. And acute care does not consist of only surgery anyway. Also, lots of people DO have surgery this time of year because for one they have time off, and for another if they get it in before the end of the year they can claim it on their taxes for this year, and also if they have already met their deductible they want to have anything they need to get done done before the first of the year, when they will need to meet their deductible again.
It's not the time of year. It's that there are too many MTs.
On a bed of nails, honey... they don't care. Cold as ice! nm
x
honey, that's your speed increasing, not the pay scale, and by the
way...we come from the days of 50, 60, and 70K a year. After that it dropped to 30.
Yes, you are fortunate. But you do not know.
they have different plans
.
I wonder what she plans on doing next?
Is MB still there?
They have several different plans to
choose from. I have one of the Aetna ones. My only surprise is that it didn't cover all my labs and I got a bill for about $50 for labs. I called to ask, and they said it appeared there was a deductible. I didn't see that in any of the pamphets. It could be just the plan I chose. Other than that it's been fine.
They have several plans.
I think they are quite affordable. There is quite a lot of reading to do though with all the different plans. Ideally you have a friend who knows about benefit stuff and can help you. My head was spinning, and usually I find it quite easy to wade through that stuff).
(I don't have to cover dependents either, so nobody ask me about that please).
Don't know about OSI but TT has about 9 or 10 plans
nm
Which companies do not do VR and have no plans of doing VR? nm
nm
Do you know if they have plans to eventually sm
start up SR on the DocQScribe accounts?
spheris growth plans
Spheris just announced they are gearing up their Indian operation and hope to downsize their domestic force by 50% by summer. They justify this by saying it is necessary to position themselves as a leader in the global market. Layoffs should be starting by the beginning of June.
and you must be 13 and the reason why she changed her plans
x
Various high deductible plans when
Back in 12/05, they had 3 high deductible plans, lowest deductible of which was $1500. Believe it was 1st of month after 90 days when it kicked in. Don't know if it's changed since then.
My mgr sure does not say that!! Webmdx is not offshore, nor do they have plans, sm
to go offshore- one of their big selling points to MTs is that they are 100% domestic!
I thought they were looking for less expensive plans
xx
Webmedx - you can choose between 2 plans - sm
500 vs 1000 deductible.
It doesn't look like she plans on paying...sm
I am not one to recommend on how to get your pay. You may have to go through small claims court. I really don't know. It just sounds to me like she has been paid already and is giving you the run around. I'm sorry you are having to deal with that, and good luck.
Thank you! You summed up my thoughts and plans exactly..
Thank you! You pretty much said it all.
I expect that 2009 will be the last year that I will work full-time as an MT.
The owners at Keystrokes have other plans. They want to be sm
as big as Spheris or Transcend but still stay the way they are. I talked to the owner last week and to another manager about something unrelated and the subject turned to MDI-MD. The owner said that at this rate, they'll grow just from the MT's and customers who don't want to be part of the offshore trend. They won't go overseas and have no plans to sell for at least several years. They just bought a platform, are adding offices to the office building and plan on staying. She did say that she thinks that a lot of the smaller companies won't survive the changes in healthcare so they need to grow to stay in business.
Talk to her. You'll be surprised how easy she is to reach and talk to. I was. I was nervous when I called to talk to my manager and the owner answered the phone. She ended up helping me and chatting for a while. I was impressed, which is a first for me.
And they hired 300 Indian workers with plans for
Spheris Inc. of Franklin, Tennessee, has hired 300 people for its new center in Coimbatore, in India's southern Tamil Nadu state, and plans to add another 700 workers in the next year, company president and chief executive Steven Simpson told reporters.
I cannot get flat rate plans in my area...SM
I presently use One Suite but am reimbursed. I used to use Vonage but it does not work well with the account I am presently on.
Here's a link with Spheris growth plans

Yes, my husband is self-employed so we have individual plans but...
the preminums keep going up and up. I realize they also do when you work for a company, but since they get a group rate, the hit isnt as hard as when you are self-employed. Once you have a medical condition and your self-employed, the rates are horrible. I am going to check into some of our plans here locally just to see. My husband and kids are on their own individiual plans and they do have a copay but all we could afford was the cheapest plan which does not cover a lot and like I said every year we get hit with higher preminums just to end up with less coverage. It is very discouraging.
TransTech has NINE health insurance plans
.
Look into insuring yourself. Many health plans can be bought
by the individual. I used HumanaOne instead of Cobra for my family (me and 2 kids). It was $193 a month. Only stipulation was that you only were allowed 6 office visits per person per year that they would cover.
Webmedx: Which health care plans?
Hi. Can someone tell me which health care providers are offered to employees? Thanks in advance.
They are just getting ready to change plans and the rates are much lower than that.
I would do my homework first before making those statements. That may have been what it was in the past, but not now. Much less.
That is they have LOTS of different insurance plans. typo on last post. sorry. nm
x
Give TT some time to see if they can find cheaper plans
I also am greatly upset by the insurance hike, but I have decided to give them some time to see if they can come up with something more affordable. Like many of you, I have to insure my whole family, so this increase is astronomical.
The grass is not always greener. Changing jobs means switching out problems, and yes, some problems are easier to deal with than others. My last job (Amphion), I was so stressed out, I lost a lot of quality of life. I have young children. I can't afford to be a stressed out freak just like I can't afford the expensive health insurance. When I moved to TT, I regained my quality of life. I'm not so tired anymore, and I'm able to be a better mom. That means the world to me. I'll hang in patiently to see if another option can be found for the health insurance.
I wonder how other companies' plans compare at this point in time? sm
Not sure how long you've been with Wbx but this plan seems comparable to what we had previously; however, I know we are all paying more out of pocket - probably for every single plan at every company -in the last 1-2 years.
Dental - I still think it is a good plan but then I haven't needed a root canal.
I don't think you missed much. When I looked at the dental and vision plans sm
with AFLAC, it didn't look like they paid for much compared with the premium charged. I didn't talk to the representative guy, though, so maybe I misinterpreted the info. Anyway, I am trying to shop for something different, just to help cover the basics. I do wish I had taken out the disability protection with them, though ... maybe next year. :-)
I am extremely grateful for the insurance, though. So far, it seems to pay pretty well and has been a lifesaver!
