Lazy?? When you have 100's of people to reply to....that isn't lazy
Apparently you've never had your own MT company. There is just sometimes no other option but to use generic replies due to the overwhelming responses to ads run. I wish people who post at this board would put themselves in other people's shoes and quit being so quick to judge. You have no idea what the person running that company might have on her plate. And to the lady who started the post...give the people a break. You didn't get the job. Move on.
hmmmmmm.... hmmmmm ... hmmmmm

Well, I guess time will tell. Tracy sent out a very nice email and my first impression is that she is a very nice lady. She emphatically stated that offshoring was NOT in the plan. I will take her at her word. I've never been one to jump up and panic without good reason. Anyhow, I'm probably overdue to be put out to pasture anyway so I'm not overly concerned about it. I'm only still MT-ing because I've started my day that way so very long it's like second nature and I probably wouldn't be able to get a thing done all day if I didn't hit the keyboard for a little while every morning (sometimes even on my days off). What a nut case, huh? LOL Money isn't the object anymore and I'm thankful for that. One couldn't ask for a better place to work than TT but then that's just my opinion. They certainly know how to staff their accounts so the only reason their MTs couldn't make a living would be if they didn't work. The work is there and the pay is honest.
Hmmmmm....don't know how that's possible...SM
but I'd sure like to be on her account that lets her type 300 lph to make that! I am not wasting any time during my shift and can't seem to average more than about 130 lph. Sure I have hours that are higher or lower but I'm talking how it evens out over time.
The poster saying she can't make line count is not a shock to me...it's very hard to meet at Amphion. I'm not sure why you are so surprised; like you said, you haven't worked there yourself to see what it is like.
To original poster, I'm sorry this happened, and I wish you luck with the next company when you find it.
hmmmmm
Got my answer, they are based in the California, Phillipines, and Manila... okay... not my cup of tea, I don't think....
Hmmmmm
Well, I've never actually had a company ask for a hearing test. I understand we need to be able to hear well but people who hear great cannot necessarily transcribe great.
That being said, I certainly hope that is not a thing we're going to start seeing in the future because that certainly does not prove you can do the work one way or the other.
However, I do know professionals in my family who when applying for a high paying position are now being asked to sign a release so the company can look at their medical records to see how their health is and no doubt if they are at risk for using the insurance too much. My husband has had this happen before as well.
Hmmmmm
Why are you special that you get to judge someone you do not even know? It is the state of the industry, not this poor woman who got laid off. On the other hand, I think you sound like a SUIT.
Hmmmmm, maybe that is because you aren't an Ochsner MT.
I also hate it because we lost our QA Specialist to a better company. Everyone is leaving OSi, maybe I should also follow.
Not too lazy?
Okay, so he/she was not TOO LAZY or TOO BUSY to come back 6 weeks later and take the time to send that rude rejection notice that was the subject of my original post. I stand corrected.
lazy has a lot to do with it
cut out for this job. Those are the ones who usually have all of the complaints.
No, this GP original post here is not the norm; at least not in my circle. Sorry you all have such a time with these MTSOs.
Hey I have an idea! Why don't all you whiners start one up yourselves!
hmmmmm...emailed several times and no response.....
Should that tell me something???
Address the same as Transend Services - HMMMMM ???
I'm not too lazy to research this...
The only esoteric element about your postings is how you manage to transcribe with all of these conspiracy theories running rampant through your brain.
What a delightful co-worker you must be.
*YAWN*
I wish I was a fat, lazy, cherry-pickin'
MT who could work when I wanted, do the exact opposite as my company says to do and still keep my job! I am so sick of working with MTs like this. I work my hind of to get my report count for the day, usually having to jump between 4 accounts to get the minimum! Then I work with this girl who gets away with murder and the company does nothing about it! Why are the worst MTs the ones who get all the glory and get to keep their jobs to boot? I'm sick of it. This field is such a joke!
I think the employers are just lazy, and don't want to do the taxes. nm

Smile. Nope. I'm in this because I'm too lazy SM
and self indulgent to be management. Also really hate workplace politics. Been there long ago in another industry, done it, moved on. Isolated in the boonies now and loving the no-stress/no responsibility work we do. Haven't traded a word with my account manager (what's that title, anyway?) in months. Intend to keep on as long as allowed.
lazy and cowardly - she gets her lap dog BB to do her dirty work for her
so she doesn't have to deal with it.
She is meaning you will see lazy MTs while doing QA that no longer care
nm
OSI managers are too lazy to keep their own accounts in turn around time
but if my a## were on the line my accounts would stay in Turn Around Time one way or another. Delegating work doesn't mean letting your turn around time go, patients are the ones who suffer the most.
...it can be done! I do this only if I have the wrong foot pedal hooked up & I feel lazy. nm

Honestly, people some people are lazy...
plain and simple, sad but true.
