If you'll read through past posts you'll find lots of
recent info. Why do you need menitoring if you already work as an MT. Unless you do clinic work most companies will require you to work at least one weekend day, at least initially.
If you'll read the archives you'll find out everything
you want to know, none of it good.
I don't find you funny at all...
Get a life
I find it funny that they are still
They have posts on the job board. I hope whoever posted those jobs are reading these messages.
And what do you find funny? lol
Is having you pay cut by one third at least funny? lol
Is that the best you have to offer? lol
Do you have anything nice to say, no, then say nothing. lol
You may find this funny....SM
I noticed this typo in their most recent ad:

Maybe they need some QA.
What I find funny is that they wanted to know SM
so much about me (background, physical condition, etc.) and THEY turned out to be the people who were breaking the law (labor law)!
This I find funny, your statement that is.... NM

what I find funny is that MTs allowed it, it was their fault too. sm
I know for a fact that MTs were as equally responsible. I worked OT and didn't claim it because I needed extra money however I could get it and didn't care that it was not approved at the OT rate. I did so at the suggestion and approval of one person and it was NOT know by upper management that it was going on. When they found out, it was stopped before the labor board even found out. The one person who was overseeing the MTs was trying to cover their own behind for not having good management skills and not wanting to say we can't handle this much work without OT or hiring more MTs and that is how it all happened. It is not completely the companies fault - mostly the employee that did it and got the company in trouble, as well as the MTs who agreed to turn their head and look the other way and let it happen. They learned their lesson and are a better company now because of it. I'd like to find one company where 100% of the people have no complaints at all - it's just not realistic in any industry. There will always be disgruntled exemployees fighting for their case and current employees sticking up for the company. Each MT has to see for theirselves if they like the company and take the opinions as that, opinion.

I'm sorry about your experience - you'll always find at least one QA
person like that. If you are only hearing negative, you may also want to consider this: QA usually also have a very high quota of reports to meet per day and don't have time to give extensive feedback a lot of the times so you will only hear if you are doing something wrong - does that help at all? Consider no news on the others good news.
We'll find out more tomorrow (4/25)
We have a conference call about this Ceridian screw-up, and I'll ask specifically about the Equifax thing, but have a feeling it's legit - unfortunately like all the rest of this.
Go to work for them and you'll find out
LOLOLOLOL
If you look in the archives you'll find several
posts regarding problems with getting paid. They don't pay that well to start with. I have 20 years of experience and they offered me 8 cpl. I don't know anything else about them, but the payment issue would be enough for me to stay away.
I find this post funny. If a company advertises constantly, posters question if they are losing peo
3 weeks, since 5/24, there are posts that question if they are growing. Who cares if a company is growing or not as long as they have enough work for their MTs. I started PT with KS two weeks ago and will be going FT 7/10 after my long-awaited and much-needed vacation. They have treated me very well and have plenty of work if the account I work on is any indication. I also came to them on the recommendation of several MT friends who work there, all of whom are very happy and have been for a while.
If you want to work for a particular company, your best bet is to contact them. I have read in several publications that more jobs are filled before advertising than after the fact.
Give them a call, especially if you like/love radiology!
I guess you'll find out when you go to work there....sm
Just be sure to not resign from Transcend until you see if this other company is truly all they told you they would be.
I don't think you'll find any work here..unless you have a C-phone...
Not much work here to keep me busy or even make my line requirements.
The pay is very low and they also offshore. If I can find the link, I'll post it.

You'll be hard pressed to find a company
that pays hourly and allows you to work at home, that just isn't the way the business works. I'm not saying that those type of positions don't exist, just that they are extremely rare. Now if you worked on-site that is a different story.
I assume QT Medical. Do a search and you'll find lots of old posts. nm

And that is why the managers and CEOs make big
$$. You are making a case against yourself. You want more $$, but you don't want the bigger responsibilities. Guess you are opting for the food stamps.
I heard one time that the CEOs came from
Lernout & Hauspie. Don't know if it's true.
silly wabbit, take a look at the CEOs of the largest
The MT industry IS male- dominated. The ICs and small mom-and-pop MTSOs may still be predominately women, but when the higher echelon of the larger companies are in fact males...well, you just don't come off sounding like you have it all together. Additionally, most of those male-dominated large MTSOs have sunk huge amounts of money in offshore facilities/employees. Our government has made it lucrative NOT to do business in the US.
About this work stoppage thing and organization efforts you advocate, you must not be well read in MT circles on the 'net. There have been some serious people making serious efforts to organize the MT industry and time and time, these efforts fail. The biggest reason for this failure are anonymous message boards like these (no offense to the board owner/administrators) because people don't want to put their name behind what they say, don't want stand up for what they say. There are too many people who simply want to keep their jobs. I DO believe that if the US MTs collectively stopped working for a week, services WILL find alternatives and there will be loss of jobs. Remember the air traffic controllers? Best example I can offer.
I could go on but I got weary from reading your post as I have seen it time and time again, and unless you personally are willing to stand up and organize it, why are you stirring the pot?

I suppose if CEOs had their way, we would be eating worms
and be thanking them for paying us the few pennies to afford our tasty worms, lest they give us another cut in pay while increasing their profits...
checked the CEOs salary of Transcend. See inside.
Maybe if we lowered his salary we wouldn't be paid peanuts.

Well, I don't know I think it is the lobbying. We don't have lobbyists. With employment going up, mortgages defaulting, no one mentions in the news about all the US jobs going overseas causing this. I was so pro Hillary Clinton until I read about her being an advocate of outsourcing jobs and was overseas promoting it, I don't remember what country offhand - that broke my heart. Look back to before this president took office - you didn't hear of outsourcing to other countries or jobs going overseas, maybe I am wrong but if it brings lots of money to companies - they are certainly going to be hiring the lobbyists to keep it going.
I don't know why the new does not report what is happening - they seem to skirt the issue big time. Talk about unemployment and mortgage defaults by not the reason - we are all being replaced overseas. I guess if you can retire with millions of dollars in your pocket from stealing from the American people then it won't matter when the downfall happens to the rest of us.
Did find a Wright Watson Sten-Tel in Austin if their site isn't old. Find 'em with Google. nm

Anyone have any current info. Any employees out there? Give me the low-down if you can! Thanks a million.

I was referring to AFTER she's missed out on a job, having a friend do sort of an audit to tell her what what was wrong with her test she submitted -- not cheating.
That is really funny
The majority cannot be wrong. Your first post brought on the reactions of many, all saying the same thing. Your first post was rude. It just was. It sounded hateful. No way that 5 different people read it wrong. Funny how you descend upon the poor OP and basically rip her apart and then call the rest of us vultures. So funny. You are not one to be preaching about attitudes and how we should watch them. Talk to the woman in the mirror first.
OMG HOW FUNNY!!!

it's funny that
the packet states no one will get a pay cut but they gave out pay cuts before people trained on DEP as DEP has only a certain pay level, so they were told. I guess this means no pay cuts with this packet. Pretty smarmy, huh??

I think it is funny that you all
want to say that JACKO and the others you mentioned are the only rudes ones on this board. Look over the posts. Pretty much everyone here is rude. I've never seen anything like it.

Please, why is it that if someone has been treated badly and there are issues that that person tries to convey to another for their own warning, why is that a grudge? You watch too much TV!
Too funny.
I have two dried up accounts as well. Yet they are still hiring. Go figure.
lol, and for 8 cpl! Now, that's funny.

Oh what like I'm scared? Yes M.E. are my initials, you better believe it. Saying liar is not slanderous. Especially since this board makes disclaimers. Funny.
How funny!!!
Was it a lady by the name of Phyllis Tate who contacted you? She is always going on cruises. I turned down that company one week after I started working there. That place is so darn screwed up. Do not consider taking a job whatsoever!!!
THAT WAS FUNNY!
So funny!! Yes, we know how to focus and concentrate and we know how to DROWN out nonessentials of background noise.
Funny....
I sent a resume to them and one of the questions was how much ESL do I do. I told them over 50% and that was why I was leaving my current job. They emailed me back and said based on my ESL answer, I was not a suitable candidate for their company.
