Who is forcing you to read these posts or even come on this website? Frankly, I come here to vent sometimes and to read the vents/concerns/comments of people who have the same job I have. Most people don't have a clue what an MT is - that's why I like this board.
Just move along if you don't agree with someone's opinion - your judgment of it does not make it less valid.
BTW, we do our work at home because it benefits the owners of the companies, not because it benefits us. I pay about $600 a year for high-speed internet access and the electricity to run the computer, print out my own accounts specs., etc. This save the company a BUNDLE of money. Why do you think the CEOs and CFOs of MQ, Heartland, Spheries, are making high 6-figure incomes?
Your comment about not being entitled to anything but what we earn is supremely ignorant. I've been doing this for 3 decades and I now make less than I made 10 years ago, even I know more, type just as fast and transcribe faster because I use text expanders. I am no longer paid for headers, footers, and spaces. The employer no longer furnishes my office space and equipment - I have to supply all that on my own. What I EARN is not what I am WORTH.

I am so sick of hearing all the complaining. NO everything is not perfect on my end of things but where is it? Everyone that has to work, wherever they work, has problems on their job. Thank God you have a job, ya know??? You could be on the unemployment line or having to collect welfare or working at McDonald's while your kids are in daycare and you bring home 2 dollars a month because daycare costs are so extreme. My gosh, you think that MTs would be happy that they can stay at home and make some money at the same time. And YES, you should be grateful that your job allows you to be at home while doing your job. You should be glad that MT has taken that kind of turn to benefit us. We are not entitled to anything but what we earn.
GEEEZZZZZZ TIRED OF HEARING THE COMPLAINING. How about being THANKFUL for once?
FP/IM/OB/GYN/PEDI. Babies and Beyond! :)
Keeps it interesting. You never know what you're going to have next. I do scalps to the soles of the feet and everything in between. Teething to hemorrhoids. :)
I think my all time favorite was a foot sprain. This was many, many years ago so I'm not breaching patient confidentiality, but it was late at night and I was punch drunk tired and the guy's name was Ronald McDonald. All I could think of was the big shoes. I laughed until I cried.
For the most part, my notes are for people that are doing pretty much okay. I could never do oncology or anything. I'd just feel bad. Probably would really cry. Kudos to those of you who do.
It was easier when they were babies sm
in the pre-toddler stage. Now that they are preschool/school age, I find it impossible to keep focused on work and them too. I had to resort to working in the evenings when my husband was home so I could not be distracted. Good Luck!
Oh my golly! She has babies, and you're telling
and not to think about the present! That is just insane, sorry. She has little babies and that needs to be taken into the equation. Period. They are the equation. Kids love to spend time with kids. What a philosophy! Sheesh. Your post just really topped all of them tonight. Why do I bother reading this nonsense?
