2000 lines/day
How long does it take you? That's amazing!! By the time I get my 1000 lines done, I'm ready to quit for the day!
7.5/ln if do 2000 lines a DAY, OH PLZ
20,000 per pay period
10,000 per week
2000 X5 days = 2000 per day
for a whole 7.5 cents a line. They otta be emailed by all MTs and say HAIL NO, unless and until you agree to work for $1.50 an hour yourself. If nobody speaks up, wellllll
Who wants 2000 lines a day? That's outrageous! nm

How long does it take you to do 2000 lines nm
nm
But are your 2000 lines per day ACCURATE?
If you expect to work at TT and shoot off 2000 lines per day that have a lot of errors you have just moved to the wrong company. You will be admonished about that. And you should be. Flying fingers don't cut it at TT unless the work is accurate. If you have a lot of Expanders and produce a lot of quality work you will be an asset. I have never made 2000 lines a day at TT but my work is accurate and they are a great company.
2000 lines per day, what kind of work are you doing? nm
xx
again, realistically, most people are not doing 2000 lines a day
nm
3 cents per line up to 2000 lines per day
and then an incentive but still diddly for QA pay
To the MT wanting to know if 2000 lines a day at TT is doable sm
I am beginning to think it is really doable. I have 5000 lines for my week, 3 days in this week and I don't have the latest out of iChart either. Yes, it is doable. I have been there...oh 3 weeks and 3 days and I can do this already.
Yup, it is doable.
How long did it take you to build up to 2000 lines a day?
x
Forgot to include 2000 lines a day sm
On the first posting, it posted half way down the page (don't know why) so scroll downward for the figures. It looks like there is no message (there is though)
Anyway, don't accept something like this, no matter what from this CHRISTIAN company as they put it. This is clearly taking advantage of very very very skilled technicians. Just makes me so darn mad to see stuff like this.
2000 lines a day at $0.18 cpl. Believe it.....Not original poster, another one making $$$$. nm
x
I average 1800-2000 lines a day on BeyondTXT.
nm
Big difference between 2000 and 3000 lines per shift.
nm
MQ. PTflex...2000 lines/week and 401K.
NM
The only post I see that is idiotic is yours. You just admitted you did 2000 lines sm
straight typing, 3000 lines at VR for HALF pay. So you lose. If you were to break even then, you'd have to do at least 4000 lines on VR. I don't honestly remember what you said you made, but most companies pay half for VR.
Before attacking, perhaps you should learn the fine art of reading and comprehension.
Ultimately, though, you're happy, so more power to you. I'm happy too, so I guess it is a good Friday for both of us. I will not respond to any more of your posts, but I do resent name calling and labeling by someone who obviously has a lot to learn himself/herself.
2000 lines, I havent done that in years. What work type do you do? nm

lines versus reports
I have a question for you seasoned radiology transcriptionist. I have been a Transcriptionist since 1995. Most jobs I have worked at required 1150 to 1250 lines per day. I now work for a place that 120 reports per day. I have never had a problem with acheiving my quota until now.............some days we have a lot of long_________dictators and I have trouble reaching the 120 reports. Today I typed 1240 lines, but only had only typed 58 reports by the half of my shift............. On the days that I have mixed reports, some short, some medium, some long, I don't have any trouble meeting my quota. What is the usual requirement per report. I feel like I am spinning my wheels and am very discouraged as I like everything else about this job. I have talked with my supervisor, but I get the feeling she/he does not really want to be bothered.................
at 80+ reports a day, you are getting more than 1000 lines in
nm
You get paid 15 lines for reports with any # of blanks
If you do a full listen you get paid for all the lines. They discourage this unless the MT is on 100% proofing because they have a massive backlog. My pay was roughly half of my pay as an MT and I was one who got fired a few months ago because they were doing away with QA's in the US. Can't imagine why they are hiring for US QA's again.
Ichart does not give us the # of reports, lines per report,
but does give a pretty instant line count, most of the time. However, that counter is set which ever way the MTSO wants it to be set. They have complete control of that setting and what the MT is paid for.
At least, that is what I was told. Inhouse we could use Ctrl I at anytime to get our exact line count -- true line count with every stroke counting.
I love the K. Long reports, good lines.
nm
Prior complaints of low work loads and only short reports, so struggle to get lines. How about
s
where they 35 comparable reports - or 35 short and 35 long reports? nm
x
Typing ER reports and radiologogy reports
are completely different with regards to pay. For typing regular reports, that is a very fine line rate. For typing radiology reports, it would be horrid.
Also $2000. mo.
I'm right there with ya, pass the Kleenex. Over 10 years' experience, work to exhaustion, and bring home $2000. a month.
Years ago it was easy to build up normals, especially for Op reports, and get a decent lph rate. Now, shortcuts are unheard of -- my accounts are teaching hospitals so there are new residents every semester and it's like starting a new account every few weeks.
The old accounts with normals and easy dictators have gone by the wayside in my world -- apparently some of the high-earning posters here must have found them.
You too? I was always a 1800-2000 SM
line producer daily until I worked for them. 1200 and it was taking me 9-10 hours to get those 1200 lines. Something is wrong with their line counting.
If you read their ads, you see that they are XP and 2000 only. sm
I spoke to KS a few weeks ago and was told that they do not accept satellite or VISTA. I have both :(
I think In Shock should concentrate on fixing the situation or moving on rather than continuing on and on here. The people she is angry with probably don't bother with these boards. They have other fish to fry. I know that I read these posts for entertainment when bored, but if I want real information, I go to the source.
Give it up and move on or figure out a way to work with them. If they do read these, I am sure they can figure out who you are and would not even want you at this point if you are just going to keep harping on it.
There are other companies out there that might use VISTA, but I have not seen many.
Have you tried talking to the person who you say told you this? On reading your post, I could not tell.
I usually get 1800 to 2000
.
Usually averaged over 2000 per day, but
why do you ask?
I used to get 2000+ daily with one hospital
oh my god that work rocked! It was 95% normals and work was plentiful. Imagine, ortho reports that were 2 pages long and all you had to do was type in your little Expander shortcut and poof there was the whole report whenever the dictator said Please use my _____ report. Ka-ching!
Ahhhh...the salad days. I remember them with such a sad fondness...it was the kind of thing that was just so good you just knew it wouldn't last.
Now I'm all bummed again. Where did I put that cheesecake....
Do you think that 1500 to 2000 a week is possible?
This is a serious question, because I have been there a while and still not up to that. Maybe 1450 but not the big numbers. Wondering if it takes a while or if it is the platform.
Not bad at all. Consistently hitting 2000 plus
lines a day. Just gotta get used to the Audit SW. It's not the greatest but it's not the worse.
Okay what is great money? $2000-3000 a PP
TIA
hosp I worked for paid IC MTs $1.25/min for 2000 min/mo and
??
And they have been that way since I worked for them back in 1999 or 2000!
x
Really? I just came from a company that expected 2000 minimum!
Per day. I guess I was getting screwed, but at 5 cpl, 1200 lines a day (if you work only 5 days a week) is only 1200 a month! How can you live on that?
Thats bull. I was told $2000 was tops a month. nm
You can't pick what accounts you get, only whether you are ER or acute. I do 2000+ on ER, Merit p
woowoo
Keystrokes' ads all say WindowsXP or 2000. Vista is not compatible sm
with most platforms, which is not the fault of the company.
You were not fired; the offer letter states that employment is pending IS approval of your computer. Vista is NOT compatible with most MT platforms at this time. No one would have told you to purchase that. We do just the opposite and tell everyone NOT to purchase VISTA as it is does not work with our hospitals.
Wow .. if I could do 2000-2500 lph, I'd be living next door to the Rockefellers. nm :-)
I'm sorry; I doubt you can reach that 2000 goal or anything close in 40 hours.

1800 lines is easily achieved. I average 300-340 lines per hour. nm

I average 1200-1400 lines per day with a national, and am only getting around 600-800 lines per day.
It's been this way since the day before Thanksgiving. I've been doing this for almost 30 years now, and more often than from Thanksgiving until the new year is the slowest time of the year. I have some months where I am swamped with up to 2000 lines per day. I stash that little extra money, and take advantage of a handful of extremely slow days this time of the year to actually cook dinner, decorate for Christmas, or do Christmas shopping. I actually anticipate this slow time every year and have grown to enjoy the breathing time. Any time I have attempted to pick up extra work with another company to supplement these slow times, the minute I get adjusted to the new accounts, etc. I have no time to finish all of my work because my full time job with national gets slammed again. Hang in there if you can, and hopefully your work will pick up significantly around New Years.
They work with you to make sure you get the lines required or the amount of lines you want...
I have never had a problem getting more work
Minimum lines for FT used to be 60,000 keystrokes a day, about 925 lines. Pay was good. Just not a

Yes it is possible to double your lines. I cant type 460 lines an hour but I can get those with VR

I worked in QA for Transcending back in 2000-2001. They were paying hourly back then. SM
The accounts weren't too horribly bad. The reason I ended up leaving was because slowly but surely they began to inch closer and closer to paying QA by production. When I first started, the quota was something like 30 reports a day. We simply had to make sure that we QA'd all reports that were close to being out of TAT first and then do the rest. Then, my supervisor left and they hired a new one who immediately called a big teleconference meeting and said we had to up production to 60 reports a day. Then, they started counting lines. Which was fine because they were still paying hourly.
Next, there was an MT who used VR software because she was blind - yes blind. Again, when I first started, I was told we had to edit her entire reports because she used the VR software and we had to make sure that everything was correct and made sense. Then, we are told only check the blanks. I wasn't comfortable with that and I continued to completely proof every word. Then I was called on the carpet not because I wasn't meeting the production quota, but because I was ONLY meeting the production quota. I told them I was proofing all of the MT's work that used VR, I was told that no one ever told me to proof every word of the VR reports and that I needed to fill in blanks and move on. When I voiced my concerns, I was told that was my job, to fill in blanks and I should move on and strive to product above the standards. Next thing you know, rumors abounded about changing the QA staff to being paid on production. So I left.
There just seemed to me to be too little concern for quality and more emphasis on quantity and I just didn't want to be part of company who would take money out of my pocket just to line their own and that's what they were doing by putting QA on production. I also am not comfortable with the job of QA being thought of as a blank filler. There is much more to the QA profession than just simply filling in blanks.
I don't know if Transcend ever did start paying QA by production, but I could see that the idea was being floated there. Maybe there was a enough protest that they didn't change from hourly.
Good luck to you!
Regular lines, not weighted lines
was what I got paid for....
