I would get dinged for putting those apostrophes in. It does look weird to me too. Who do you believe anymore; BOS, different companies QA. Where you may leave out for one company you will get dinged at another. So confusing and it is hard to keep straight.

some clients want those apostrophes
The two docs I edit for want those apostrophes there and you can find just as many reference materials that DO include them as don't.
I agree this is nothing that is going to affect patient care, but bottom line - you have to give the client what they want.
One of my jobs says use apostrophes
(They don't follow BOS) and the other says definitely no apostrophes (follow BOS strictly). So I would say it's up to the individual company.
She doesn't know how to use apostrophes. nm
First, why does every little thing have to be discussed with clients, right down to apostrophes?
Second, this is another example of how the BOS has muddied up the waters. BOS1 said apotrophes, BOS2 says no apostrophes but apostrophes still okay. What does the BOS3 say? I have no idea and I don't care. I say apostrophes because it was apostrophes before there was a BOS. So what gave the AHDI the authority to change the way it had been done for decades before?
Ignoring all the wrongful usage of the apostrophes in the
above comment, I totally agree with the poster's opinion that one cannot make more money by doing VR.
