Easy money makers if you can understand.  Lots of times you can't and have to leave blanks. 

BTW, I am a little leary of Indian docs giving me a psychiatric evaluation.  They come from a company that worships rats, cows and giant phallic symbols.  They are going to tell ME about my sanity?  Puhleeze. 

Scary that so many of them are going into psychiatry here, isn't it?

My company has SEVERE heavy load of ESLs, probably 85% if not more and they are hard!  I have this option of going with another company.  I want to try the new company but I don't want to get in the same situation I am in now only because if it is the same situation I would rather stay where I am at because I like the people I work for.  There is no benefits and a few things concern me yet they are good to work for, plenty of work and pay is ALWAYS ontime every time.  So this is just a poll:  What is the percentage of ESLs and where do you work.

Also, do you think I should try to go with this other company part-time and keep my current job to see?  The problem is I would have to get unlimited long distance and have their programs downloaded on the same computer. Would love to have any feedback for this tough situation.  Thank you!

As far as not having a problem with you being gone -- you're an IC!  You're SUPPOSED to be able to be gone when you need to be.   It is another place that doesn't seem to know the meaning of the idea of being an IC, although that is par for the course nowadays and I really cannot point them out as being the only one who does that.

It would seem best to let the CardioScribes thread die, but you had to bring it to the foreground again. 

do they do this?  I checked the archives on this company before accepting the position and although there were similar complaints along with disorganization and some others I decided to give it a try.  In retrospect I should have listened to those posts.  I'm out of work for the 4th time now, there's no communication.  I don't know if my first clue something was amiss was the recruiter with her kids screaming in the background during the interview or the vague answers to questions I had clearing indicating there no transcription experience on her end.  Why do companies do this.  I have bills to pay and I always, always address this situation - is there enough work, do you run out of work often.  I know there are times when work may be low but this consistently happening.   

I work a second/third shift position and I still run out of work.  I asked for a secondary account probably 6 weeks ago and haven't received one yet.

You can call the MTSO or your supervisior, but they really don't care, the work is getting done and that is all that really matters. 

There are maybe 3 doctors across the whole company that are ESLs.  I don't know if someone confused the name of this company with another or if things were different in the past.  But since you are not working in pools and there is very little ESL, you can request not do have to do them.  Also, you are paid higher for the more difficult dictators, so it doesn't waste your time.  But you are not "forced" to do anything awful, like some places I have worked before.

Out of all the nationals that I have worked for only 2 didn't have "clunky" software.  There is better software and there is worse; the software here is in between.

As far as ESLs, it all depends what account you are assigned.  Some hospitals have more ESLs than others, and I have also found that certains states have more ESLs than other states in the US. 

I was on one account that had some wonderful ESLs.  I actually preferred them over the American doctors who like to talk at 3,000 miles per hour.  The ESLs seem to enunciate their words more clearly.  Again, every company has ESLs; they are just part of the job.
