Looking for part-time work with good line rate.
I have loads of acute care experience and I am dependable. I never miss a day of work, willing to work weekends, etc. I am looking for a dependable company with steady work. Any ideas?
Is ER work clinic rate?
I was hired to do clinic wotk but over half my work is ER with ESL doctors and interns. Shouldn't this be paid at a higher rate, or am I dreaming.
Do you need a second line or Cphone to work for QT? Do they have clinic? nm
x
No, you don't need C-phone or a second line, and yes, I believe we do have clinic work. nm

Good line rate, benes and ins.
Have been with Webmedx a while and they offer BCBS, Delta Dental, disability and life ins, plus PTOs. Line rate, supervision, work platform and company are all awesome in my book. Been an MT for 20 years....Good luck. Hope this helps.
That is good pay for low line rate. I would be happy with that! nm

What is a good line rate for editing? nm
nm
Of course, depends on your line rate, but $700.00 is very good for MT right now. I can make over
that if the work is available, and I put in more than 40 hours. I think to make $1000.00 you need to have lots of expansions and dictators with which you are familiar, IMHO.
Really? I thought it sounded like a good line rate.
nm
Good thing they do because their line rate is marginal.
x
That's a pretty good offer. Does the line rate go up for over 175 lph? sm
Will you have VR thrown in there also?
Anybody working on Cquest, likes, dislikes?? good line rate??
Any information would be much appreciated....
This is not true. I have been there a month and get a good line rate and paid for spaces. ??? nm
nm
not good... 7.5 for clinic work, no negotiating :(
and this is on an account with TONS of dictators, so you rarely get the same dictator. Hard to make your lines.

I miss YOG also! Good company, great line rate, and awesome account.

Dean Clinic - Not a good place to work. sm
The department supervisor treats employees like dirt, unless you jump the minute she screams or threatens you. They are making things extremely difficult for the long-time people so they quit, and don't have to pay benefits. Quite a few already have since the first of the year. Anyone thinking about going in there had better turn and run fast, no matter what you may be promised. It's not a good place to work.
Good companies hiring for clinic work
Know any good companies hiring for clinic work? I'd rather get lower pay for clinic and have a higher line count than stress out over acute care at this point.
Good company, lots of clinic work, pay on time.
nm
True - Regardless of line rate, if the work isn't
flowing like you need/want it to, then you'll not make your goal.
No offense, but do you work at line rate in-house?
s
How are the MW accts that use the ExText? Good sound? Lots of work? Acute care or clinic? Thx. nm
s
Thanks for the advice. The idea of clinic work sounds good, but I do feel comfortable with acute ...
care. I have a lot of experience with operative notes, DS, consults, radiology etc.. but I am not that thrilled with ESLs. It is just harder to make money on them. I think I will look into clinic work. It was only the lack of work that was bothering me about these companies and mismanaging the accounts they did have, broken promises, and just getting the runaround.. over everything from benefits to work.
What is your present line rate? I gather you want to work as an employee and not as an
IC because you want PTO and the FICA, but would you work as an IC?
The only time I work OT, they offer 1-1/2 times my line rate which is OT pay IMO. sm
I rarely, rarely work OT though as I have kids in sports and a husband who works strange hours.
is the VR line rate 60% of the regular typing line rate?
s
It depends on if this is editing other MT's work or VR. If VR, that is a good rate. nm
nm
Precyse rate was good but they were always running out of work.

Need current info on ETransPlus i.e. work load, line rate (ballpark), cost of benefits, SM
and overall treatment of their MTs. I found archived opinions but all old. Is anyone there now that can comment? Thanks!!
I am looking for a company where I can work as an IC for good lph rate part-time...
I am needing to supplement my income, as I am the sole provider for my family due to hubby recovering from illness. I would like to find a good company with good pay (9-11 cpl), part-time employee status or IC, hopefully providing all necessary equipment. I have been searching the archives all day and have not come up with any other than Webmedx, but it sounds as if I would be doing mostly ESL to make the higher lph. I could possibly come up with the PC if I needed to. I have 8 years acute care experience. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. If you don't feel comfortable posting, I have included my e-mail address. Thanks much in advance for all your help
Is 8 cpl on 65 char with spaces, header, footer good rate for IC work?
Want to accept position. Wondering if that's a good rate today. THank you
Their line rate was less than my current nat'l rate, even with mucho experience. nm

VR rate is 1/2 rate of traditional typing,I believe it is 4 cents line.
Webmedx ASR rate is 70% of your regular line rate. sm
So if you are on a 9 cpl account, you get 6.3 CPL plus any bonus / incentives / shift differential.
Is the ASR line rate 1/2 of transcription line rate? sm
Reason I ask is that I assume if they have ASR now that eventually all will be ASR except of course for the awful dictators as this seems to be the norm.
Oh, they make money off us. Line rate is 17 cents a gross line.nm
z
I left MQ for TT. The base line rate was less at TT, but overall I make more per line with the
shift differential (I work second shift) and the incentive plan (I have never once failed to make at least an extra half cent per line on incentives - most of the time a penny). I was scared to death to make that move, as I had been with MQ since back in the Transcriptions Limited days. I have to say, though, that it was the best career move I have ever made and I have never, not once, regretted it.
I hope that was of some help.
are clinic notes productive... 2 and 3 line reports?
Can you turn them around pretty fast or do they slow you down?
Good & bad posts in the past. Must work 1 Sat. a month. Supposed to be gross line pay. Some days
s
i would definitely start out with clinic notes first to get a good base.
You need to try to get as much learning as you can in an unrushed way. When you do acute care notes, you are having all medical specialties pushed on you all at once.
Keystrokes clinic MTs, do you make good money?
IME it's hard to make good money doing clinic when paid by the line; some of the notes are only two sentences long. Just wondering if it's any better at Keystrokes, i.e., good combination of short and long notes.
Line rate
I was offered 6.5 cpl. How do I calculate gross pay based on that? I'm not sure how many lines I can produce, since I'm still completing a transcription course and this will be my 1st position.
line rate
oh, my gosh -- i've been with them 3 years and am SE with a base rate of 8 cpl, but usually get 8.5 cpl with the 6000 lines minimum. that is just wrong that you've been with them that long and you're making that. have you ever asked for a raise?
How is their line rate? sm
Recently applied but worried they will offer a low line rate to begin. Do you know what their base rate is or does it vary based on test results and years of experience.
If so, do you know the range?
TIA:)
They did tell me the line rate..
Just wanted to hear from people who knew about them or had worked for them as to whether they are a good company to work for.
Well....about the line rate....sm
I was really offered what I felt like is going to be a good account, and this is only going to be part-time for me. I'm hoping the work itself, i.e., surgery center, will make up for the line rate. They were very accommodating on the actual amout of time I wanted to work per day, too. I'm going to give it a try. I have high hopes - we'll just see!
line pay, rate
these companies say excellent pay. how do they feel right posting that?
What is their QA line rate?
Line Rate
I talked with a guy from the company today by phone, and according to what he told me, they pay on a tiered basis. They start at 8 cpl for 10,000 lines and it increases from that point. I don't remember the exact numbers and amounts after that point, so I won't quote him. If you don't do 10,000 lines, then the rate is 7.5 cpl. This is for full-time people on a day shift; the rate for second and third shift is different. They don't want daytime part-timers, which is what I wanted. In any event, for a university account I think the rate is on the low side. I can make 8 cpl transcribing office work. I'll keep looking.
Sorry. I'm not sure about the line rate but I DO know in this biz...
that line rate is ever based on your years of experience. It's become pretty pathetic. I have over 14 years of experience and was still offered the same as someone with a few years of experience, 7.5 cpl, and of course you will see those paying 6-7 cpl and you will rarely see anymore on an ad where it reads, salary based on experience at least not in this profession anymore. Best wishes if you apply. I hope they offer you something worth your time.
Yes, if you can get a better line rate
Eight cents a line is pitful for an IC. I did the opposite of you and went from a small company to TransTech. I do love working for TT but nothing compares to where I was. The work was wonderful, flexible, 12 cents a line with bonuses and yearly $400 Christmas bonus. I'm sorry I left but that's another story and like I said happy with TT. Do yourself a favor and don't settle for 8 cpl as an IC.
