Rolling on the floor laughing .... nm
xx
Rolling eyes is quite unprofessional, IMO. sm
Get over it disgruntled. My goodness, did they expect you to do horrible things like to work 8 hours a day and meet minimums? Shame on them for expecting such of a Primadonna.
Actually that was clinton who started that ball a rolling.
That's the attitude that keeps the suits rolling in cash.

Rolling on floor laughing my butt off.

yeah those state boards are really rolling in the posts......
NOT
Could I interest you
in some ocean front property I have for sale in the middle of the Mohave desert?
I have always had an interest in this company, but....sm
their starting rate was way LOW for me. Have the upped this? Let us all know whether the pay is low, average, above average. TIA
And they seem to have an interest in buying some
nm
Isn't that a conflict of interest? NM
nm
Something of interest....PLEASE READ.
The first time I noticed this, I shrugged it off. But it's happened again and time to share it with my fellow workers.
I noticed the account on which I work had no reports in the one particular subspecialty I am supposed to work first, which I found odd.
I signed in the next day, there were more than 20 reports on that particular subspecialty. As I began transcribing, I noticed these reports had been dictated 9/8/2009; I was transcribing on 9/11/2009.
Where did these reports go for 3 days?
Beats me but my assumption is *somebody* didn't meet TAT and the work bounced back to the US.
Interestingly, isn't it?
I would agree with the conflict of interest..
I do wonder how many people actually get caught doing this. Our vendors do have people work for other hospitals to make sure they stay productive. I never thought about the situation until it happened. What is funny is that this 1 girl I knew worked as an employee with me, BUT also worked for 1 of the vendors and my boss knew about it. She doesn't work for the vendor anymore and she still works as an employee with us. That was the interesing part.
Not legal, more conflict of interest.... nm
nm
I don't see it as a conflict of interest. If you meet your
obligations to each company it isn't anyone's business what you do.
When you sign a contract with a company rarely is there a clause about not working for oneone else, only a noncomplete clause.
Now if you are using their equipment for the other company I see a major issue with that, maybe not illegal, but certainly not ethical. I
I use my own equipment, and there is no conflict of interest. sm
I would prefer to only work one full-time job, but there are things that I want (like a roof over my head and to pay the utilities - ha), and the only way I know how to get them is to work enough so that I can have them. My full-time job is acute care, and the PT jobs are clinic work, so it is nice change of pace for me ... at least as nice as still sitting all day and pounding a keyboard can be. The way the wages have gone down in this industry, it seems I have to work twice as hard to make half as much. I made more in 1983 than I do right now. Still ..... such is life. And when I want to have a little pity party about having to work so much, etc., I just think of those who do not even have a job or a place to stay, and I realize I should be grateful to be working at all.
Also, what does interest companies contact mean?
Interest companies? What is that? (at end of job post).
When I am renting, I am PAYING; when I'm working, THEY are paying ME. sm
Seems I should be running a credit check on the potential employer to see if THEY are responsible with their money, not the other way around.
Conflict of interest working for 2 nationals
Just a question - back in 1998, it was considered a conflict of interest to work for 2 nationals such as Edix and Medquist. From what I see, it does not appear to be that way now. Can someone shed some light on this? For those who work for nationals - do they know you work for their competition? No flaming please - just curious.
No interest in running a business... of ANY kind... been there, done that.
If you're a business owner, you already know why.
you know, you don't have to open posts about topics that don't interest you.

Conflict of interest working for 2 companies?
Has anyone ever come across a company that makes you sign paperwork stating that you are not working for another company. I need a second part-time job, finally found one and while filling out the paperwork I came across this. I didn't tell them I was working for another company during the interview but also did not deny it. Should I give up the second or just not tell?
I would change banks, they are making interest off your paycheck for a day.

So you're sending out bogus INTEREST LETTERS?
As another MT who just got a we're very interested letter and questionairre, I have to say,
PLEASE GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!!!!!
You've wasted my time.
So Webmedx is just another crock of bull MTSO lying to potential employees.
Why am I not surprised?
Disgusting!
Tell your friend to RUN (and I do mean RUN)
The best way to describe that place is great money, but job insecurity. They routinely fire MTs without any warning whatsoever for trumped up reasons, and there is a lot of office politics and backstabbing that goes on behind the scenes. They just fired the president of the company a few months ago, and wouldn't even allow him back into the building to get his things. Now if they will treat the president of the company like that, just imagine what they would do to your friend.
friend
r u eleena sylvia wallang...???
Your friend might be able to
contact her local law enforcement agency. There is such a thing as theft of services which might apply. SInce she works at home, the crime happened in her county. It would be worth a try if she has documentation.
My best friend
works for them and loves it there. I am applying for a job there soon. I don't think they give out the equipment anymore but I'm not sure.
I have a friend who had that twice. sm
Her hubby's insurance covered it both times and with 2 different policies.
Your friend needs to go to your
county/local courthouse and sign a complaint for the bad check. Depending on what state you live in, sometimes checks are collectable up to 3x the face amount plus court costs. It's no different than paying the plumber with a bad check. It's a shame one has to go through that to get paid, but she has to do what she has to do, right?
Me, too, my friend....
Me, too.
I found the email an insult to my intelligence.
I could use a friend also.
E-mail me if you wish.
Why would anyone divorce their best friend?
Don't most legitimate psychologists and relationship experts say that couples should be best friends? I don't have a horse in any race and am just reading this board, sifting through the posts and trying to get a feel for who's credible and who isn't. Your post just isn't passing the sniff test and is borderline bizarre, making me wonder how your ex could possibly help a stranger if you're an example of what happens when he spends extended time with someone.
MT friend looking for a company...sm
that she could work just a couple hours a day, do about 300 lines/day or so (sometimes more). Is it possible? She is just unable to work much more than that b/c of a family situation and most places want a certain schedule or 2500 lines/week part time and she is unable to do either at this point. Anyone know of a company that she could check into? A decent company. Thanks.
Who you talking to friend?

How would your daughters friend
know your PIN number? Call United Way or 211 from your land line phone and ask for an agency referral to an agency who can possibly assist you.
I have a friend who is working for them and she also
makes the higher amount. I guess it depends on your test score and the account. They do not pay for spaces but .09 without is almost the same as .075 with so at .10 or .11 you are doing good. Good luck.
My friend used to work for them
And she kept running out of work, then one day they told her she was not producing enough so they scolded her by not sending her any work for 2 weeks, she found another job in the meantime. She said they go by weekly averages so if there is no work of course it brings you down.
Uh uh my friend. The AAMT is JUST as
.
I have a friend who works for them
and loves it, still very happy after a year and a half.
Sorry friend, you misunderstood a bit
I don't have any problem with a premium rate paid to scribes for harder dictators, but don't penalize the rest of the team by *lowering* their rate.
That means the client pays more for more difficult dictations, allowing the premium to be paid to the scribe.
No matter what type of dictation, easy, medium, or difficulty, transcriptionists are highly skilled, and should be paid accordingly.
my friend worked
for diskwriter and said they were a pain; always changing things and a bit demanding. but personally, I don't know..

Not all hackers, my friend.
Somebody tried to steal my identity, and they were in a foreign country. Thank god my credit card caught it in time.
That is just horrible for your friend...
I worked for DSG for over a year and they are constantly running out of work...when they do have a little extra, instead of waiting to see what happens they immediately start hiring again...and the same thing happens over and over....your friend is better off....
I have a friend who had a lap band, and even though
in the face and still, I repeat still, deals with the emotional issues that caused her to overeat in the first place. I am no skinny Minnie, but I know eating is a way to feed an inner problem that needs comfort. I am not obese, so I can't speak of what that feels like either, but even with a lap band you have to diet and exercise. A mental assessment is also a prerequisite. If you can get the problem as to why you overeat and do not exercise and diet, then I think that would be better than having the surgery.
My friend does say she cannot eat everything she wants, but she still complains of the same emotional stresses that she had before the surgery, which tells me this is deep-seeded and not something that can be fixed by having surgery.
The other thing to think about is as you get older how will this effect your body? I think nature has a way of taking care of us even if we are obese. Not all obese people have the same medical problems such as diabetes, arthritis, thyroid disorders, and shortness of breath.
Please think if you can about a way to try exercising first before having an extremely risky surgery that the outcome is not always positive.
I have a friend who works for them - sm
They are AOK. They leave her alone and she enjoys the work.
Not sure how the pay works, but my friend's min. a day is 100
x
I think you are out of line my friend.
To suggest we cannot work a day shift AND post here occasionally is ridiculous. I am your co-worker. I myself take frequent breaks for mind and body reasons, and come here often throughout the day. Lighten up, be happy, and TRY to be helpful :)
My friend just got a job there a few weeks ago...
and they are so far behind in QA that she didn't even get a paycheck yet because her reports haven't cleared QA yet...that is wrong on so many levels..
