When will you respond to our e-mails?
nm
Way, way, way too many e-mails
nm
Thank you both for the e-mails.
I cannot, however, use Iscriptor, so that one is out. I don't have enough memory for Iscriptor, so I am told. I'm running windows XP. I was told by another company that I do not have enough memory to run Iscriptor. Thanks bunches for your replies!!!!!
how about those e-mails..
that say change is always difficult and getting back on track. The e-mail I got transferring me to a lower-paid account said that. I had to get back on track too - had to go.
E-mails ignored
Never get a reply to e-mails. I've e-mailed a particular person about the same topic on 3 different occasions and have yet to get any kind of response. Not very professional IMO.
Thinking I should resend it with a copy to Transcend stating I've yet to get a response from anyone at MDI and maybe they can answer the question.
I am wondering if I am being encouraged out of the company... My thoughts exactly.
What garbarge!!! How about the e-mails
I have telling me to take the next couple of days off because there is no work. That place is worse than I thought if you always have work. Sounds like management is totally incompetent.
Over 500 e-mails in just over 2 months. How do you have
time to work? There have been multiple, multiple posts about the poor communication from Precyse. How questions are asked but never answered. I wouldn't want to work for a company that sent that many e-mails. There should be no reason to send that many e-mails, even if they are bulk e-mails.
I'd like to get in line on the e-mails, tx. NM

Does anyone else have problems getting e-mails
nm
Just forward the e-mails and any
questions you have to your supervisor.
Political e-mails
How timely...I received that type of e-mail today....Wonder if we're at the same place................But yes, it's so inappropriate and offensive, particularly since I don't swing the way of the e-mail. Even if I agreed, I would still feel it's inappropriate.
I received several e-mails sm
privately stating some of the same things the others had said. These e-mails are all from experienced MTs with 20+ years experience. I would agree with your post IF the e-mail I had gotten from the recruiter hadn't been worded so strangely. She was very very nice but it was obvious this was a problem with her higher up and she did not agree with it. Its ok but it does aggravate me that they are taking up so many MTs time with their testing and not being up front. I would rather they say they are slow than make up something. I can't say as I would feel comfortable working for a company that would lie up front. I am glad you have a great experience there though. Any job in this economy is a blessing! BTW from the time these posts were done yesterday until this morning, I have had a job offer I think I am going to take. Thanks for your post.
You know - that is the biggest thing I don't like about MDI --the E-mails!
For being an attorney, she certainly can not spell or form sentences correctly!!
Unfortunately, I have to agree that her e-mails and tactics are quite....
unprofessional and annoying.
Or what about when you get the e-mails that there is too much backlog and D will have to hire..sm
more MTs if you don't get it cleaned up and then you dial into your 3 accounts only to hear requested dictation completed. I don't understand this and it is very frustrating and
500 e-mails in 2 months is overkill. Either they
are horribly disorganized and can't compose 1 e-mail to get out the info, or they have serious issues with accounts/MTs that they are constantly having to send out info. I don't work for MQ, but my company only sends out e-mails as necessary, at most probably 2 a month. We get daily QA feedback in our QA file, which is not an e-mail and it pertains to just us, not one mass e-mail. I do my job and do it well so there is really no need to dozens of e-mails a day, or even a month, from my company.
I'd like to get info of Med-Scribe too. E-mails are welcome. nm

Anyone else getting unsolicited e-mails from any MT companies?
x
Please forward those e-mails to the Administrator. SM
The Administrator will handle those harassing e-mails.
The address is admin@mtstars.com.

I've got 2 e-mails from my STM threatening
that.
Left MQ in August...still getting e-mails. (nm)

My e-mails are always answered promptly
I really enjoy working there and have no gripes. Did you bring the incorrect paperwork to their attention?
Query about companies and e mails.
In recent experiences for me, I have found that supervisors rarely answer e mails. I find even if they ask something in an e mail or on a phone message, and you answer, there is no response. If an MT needs advice about QA, scheduling, etc. and e mails there is no answer. Is this a new trend? I have found this with recruiters as well. After hired, if you ask the recruiter anything, there is no response, and you get voice mail if you call.
Is this a new form of etiquette among corporate individuals that we at home do not understand? This is something I have found working for companies which I consider not so good, and one which I consider to be wonderful, but since MTs are isolated, it seems that at least an answer now and then would be nice. Even to let us know if they got the message to begin with.
My DH said not to worry, if I don't hear anything no news is good news, and yes it is rude, but I need to get over it. I am starting to agree, and not ever getting answers from team leads, or sups are the norm. Anybody else have this experience? Thanks in advance for your response. I just want to know if I am the only one feeling slighted. I don't want or need my hand held, just need to know they got my schedule for example, or my query regarding QA. After all, I don't want to make a mistake over and over again, for example. Perhaps no news is good news, but are we MTs in the field a bother?
No problem. But I don't answer e-mails
The only way you can be tracked by anyone is by replying to an e-mail. I don't mind answering your questions here, but just don't respond to e-mails from here. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I am sure you understand the necessity.
Do a search of ASR, ISR or VR on this board and you will see numerous threads about the subject matter.
Basically, you end up doing more work as the VR systems are incapable of understanding 100% of what is dictated, so you must proof to sound 100% of the job. The corrections usually take longer to do than it would take a good MT to just transcribe the job from scratch. The MTSOs have discovered that they can cut your pay in half, telling you you will get more lines because you just have to scan the report and fill in the blanks. That is completely, absolutely incorrect. The ONLY one making any money on VR is the company.
The work that is produced by VR programs is subpar at best and dangerous at worst.
I hope you SAVED those e-mails.
nm
I agree. lots of e-mails but never answers to YOUR
I know many of you were low on work this week (get those every week) we are busy now (the weekend of course) and we expect you ALL to be making up your lines ....ummm??? Should I not have a life? Drop my Saturday plans and work all day?
Watch out, they only require 1 weekend day a week, but basically expect that you work all weekend because... you aren't being a team player like everyone else who works every weekend.
They didn't even answer IMs lol! Never nonsense IMs either, just asked if I could log on and make up work. Since I was always getting e-mails about my line counts.
If they changed and I had a different supervisor, might consider going back if I wasn't happy already.
TT top mgmt has answered 99% of my e mails. My sup 100% of the time.
I have only been lost in the cracks by management once. My supervisor has always answered me. But then, my mails are really short and infrequent. Only pertaining to PTO, a conference call or to ask about acct. specs. I just assumed that they have zillions of e mails so I keep it to a minimum. They have answered all the important ones for me. The one not answered was an HR question I could have gone to the vendor about.
They are great though on e mailing us, you have to admit. At least once every week top management tells us what a great team we are. At least that is what I receive. And they never forget to wish us a happy holiday. So I have no qualms at all.
That score is with current company. I also have e-mails from
my STM at Webmedx telling me how pleased they were with my work. Someone is always wanting to say that you just couldn't cut it when you leave a company, but that wasn't my situation. Actually the lack of work was a blessing. I now work for a company whose QA is very strict, even more so than Webmedx, where my score last month was 99.9%, there is lots of work 24/7, and the pay is better. I was also making my line count after 3 days. So the story had a happy ending. When one person leaves that might be chalked up to a quality issue, but when several leave at the same time then that likely isn't the case. The numbers showed what the workload was like.
Daily mails waste too much time
Honestly, no, I don't care for that stuff. It's a waste of my time to get that type of thing and go through it. I'd like to spend my work time really working and earning money, not wading thru useless information I dont need.
Check your e-mails from yesterday, Fatcat...(sm)
It was announced in an email from Carlotta. It's no longer rumor, it's being implemented.
Not me. I've received no e-mails from anyone at ProScrip. sm
Which is not unusual, of course, since they aren't very communicative in general.
Compnies which Phish for e mails for posters.
Just an FYI. Companies might not get ISP addresses from this site to cross reference who we are... yesterday, after I had posted several comments about a certain company I won't mention (because I will get in trouble for slander, no doubt). I got 2 suspicious e mails and cross-referenced where they came from and they were both from Texas. 1 e mail was insulting someone who was putting good info out on the company and another was responding to a post I put saying I loved the place...and that one was from Texas too. Both were in the same state the company is in. If you are management and you did it you know I figured it out and don't appreciate it. If management or anyone from this company did not do it, my apologies but it is fishy or phishy that people in the same area wrote to me. These claims are absolutely false and libelous against MTStars. No individual nor company receives ANY information about posters from MTStars in any way.
This board is for freedom of speech which I might add is a right under the constitution. You say we can't slander on the board, you will get us. You may just possibly be phishing to see who we are, this is invasion, and I don't appreciate. This board is NOT about freedom of speech or your constitutional rights. This is a privately owned board. We are allowing all opinions but there are still posting guidelines. You are making serious false allegations.
Bottom line is, don't respond to any e mails you get here unless you know for sure who it is...because there are a lot of cheesy MTSOs who don't want us to know the truth and want to squash freedom of speech. Just wanting people to know to be careful and preserve the rights of this board. Without it, we'd have no one to talk to and compare notes, and with any kind of monitoring our civil liberties would be squashed. Thanks in advance for reading this note.
Any person can post on this board. You accept the fact that your posts will be read by anyone and that while your email address is never exposed to anyone, you might receive emails through this board from others. Never respond to such emails unless you want to expose your email address.
If anyone has any questions about such issues, contact the Administrator or Moderator. Libelous claims against this board will not be tolerated.
MTStars Team
could you respond here for
x
I wish you would respond....I do.
But if it is only me, well that definitely won't do any good. We all have to stick together and let them know that it is an insult to be treated like non-*professionals*. If more people let them know they'd at least be forced to think about it instead of deleting a lonely email from one angry MT. I am beginning to think they continue to take away from us because most MTs can't be bothered and and/or will take it. ;)
Not only do they not respond....
but then every couple of months they are advertising again. Do you think it is a vanity thing, or they are trying to create a reputation for being busier than they are? I don't understand why a business would waste time unnecessarily in this process, unless of course they are disorganized and discourteous, in which case they have a lot of turnover, which no business wants.
May I respond to that?
Yes, you do get binders, and yes mine contain way more samples than I probably need; however, the necessary info boils down to just a few pages for doctor lists and account specifics. And the crap the previous poster so delicately refers to is patient demographic information. Speaking for my account, my morning routine consists of turning on my computer, setting my demographic update to run, get coffee ready, feed the dog and cat, and by the time that's done my update is usually done or has just another couple minutes. No big deal really. That's on the DOS account by the way.
Can you respond here?
I guess they deleted my post on the main board because it eluded to a job wanted request. So, I had to repost it here instead. If you wouldn't mind responding here, I would greatly appreciate it!
I'm not the OP but I have to respond
*WE ARE IN A DEPRESSION RIGHT NOW...MY ADVICE IS TO TAKE ANYTHING YOU CAN GET RIGHT NOW. IT DOESN'T MEAN YOU ARE LOCKED INTO IT FOR LIFE, BUT WE CAN'T BE TOO PICKY LIKE WE WERE BEFORE.*
I'm not the OP, but THANK YOU for pointing this out. I see so many negative posts on here (humorously referred to as *haterade* in another thread) that I sat and nodded my head in agreement with your post.
While some places fall far short of paradise, if the pay is even halfway decent and on time, this is not the time to turn one's nose up at a less-than-ideal offer.
To had to respond:
I do NOT find your reply rude or condescending. I only wish I could shrug and deal with it as you apparently have. Sure, I will give VR a try with it comes to my accounts. I am just dreading it because VR offers none of the things that I enjoy about transcription. I do not think the humor potential is going to outweigh what I will be losing.
It's not change, per se, that I resist because I certainly have had a lot of that over the years. I've had to learn 7 or 8 transcription platforms (one loses count) with the loss in production that always means. Three of these software changes were within the same company as some *suit* who did not transcribe decided to try out something new. I have adjusted my schedule every which way to be accommodating. I put in extra hours often, to help with TAT. I'm not a total what's-in-it-for-me whiner. But this is the change that just might do me in, because someone wants to cut my pay, capitalize on my knowledge and experience for less money, and call it progress. Seriously, other than the chance to keep working, what IS in it for me?
One reason I have resisted offers to go into QA is that I enjoy the actual transcription so much. Never have tried QA, I just do not feel I would enjoy finding and correcting the errors of others. Not my thing. I think VR would be so much worse.
I agree that MDI is a great company and I am glad to have found them after a few (okay, many) real loser companies. They have resisted offshore outsourcing and VR for a long time. I am just sorry they have had to cave to the prevailing trend on VR. Their client base expects high-quality work and I am hoping we can still give it to them with this transition. But if a lot of us *seasoned* MTs choose to bail out, that may not happen.
Did you respond to an ad?
Did they post a job opening somewhere recent that you were applying to?
Lack of work, offshoring, never answer e-mails....
she means they are being shuffled around and being sent rude e-mails and IMs - ROFL
nm
Then send them 15 rude e-mails a day asking to be removed, ROFL!
Taste of their own medicine. Let their mail box fill up with endless dribble on updates or urges to work.
company does not answer e-mails or phone calls
Hi guys,
Just wondering if any of you have experienced this. I use to work for this company full-time. I went to part-time because we were running out of work and I decided to go back to school (because I am tired of this game with having work and then running out).............
Anyway when I dropped to part-time, my insurance was cancelled (which I know happens) but the premiums are still being taken out of my check. I have 2 checks now with those premiunms being taken out.............I have called payroll and left e-mails (this lady never responds)............now I am thinking this illegal...........
Feedback please. I would like to stay on with this company part-time but...........
I am running out, also, and did NOT get any "begging" e-mails. In fact, I am getting disguste
.
I just e-mailed you...but I'm having problems sending and receiving e-mails on here (sm)
hope you get the e-mail!
ginny please respond
ginny, could you please give me your email so i can visit with you more?
What I don't understand is why anyone would respond to
a post that did not include the name of the company. I certainly would not. If they cannot be up front with who they are, they have something to hide.
i got the same email and did not respond (nm)
.
It seems usually I am the only one to respond good or bad -
Of all the people who have contacted me privately by email about the job and my thoughts on it, no one has ever come back and told me that I was wrong in what I told them - and I have never seen anyone respond negatively to the questions that are asked openly on this board until Tristen did it on this post.
My experience with eTransPlus may be unique, but it is hard for me to believe that I am the only person that is working happily at that company or they would not have any transcriptionists and therefore would not have a business. I know my 2000 lines a day are not carrying the company...
My experience has been very positive. I get help when I need it, I get extra work when/if I need it, not one time have I ever been told one thing and another happened, the line counts have not changed (I was given a pay scale when I started work and it is the same today as it was then). Yes, you make less if you work part time because you produce less lines - the tiered pay scale is in place as an incentive to do more work. You work harder, you are rewarded - ain't that the way most things work?
I for one will continue to be a cheerleader when someone asks a question about eTransPlus, as I have nothing but good things to say about everyone there!
You need to respond with you will comply with
stating you are now an employee. You may then be looking for another job, but from what you state, you will become an employee under those demands.
