do a search in archives
there have been a lot of questions like this lately. It would be nice if everyone would remember this option first before cluttering up the board with blahblah and same old babble.
Yes. No. Search the archives. nm

You may want to do a search in the archives
I personally had a good experience with them, but do not currently work for them now. They are employee status and paid what I would call fair in this market. The platform was a little cumbersome, but not something you couldn't get used to if you worked on it everyday. I also had where they changed the scheduled days immediately. If the work is not there then I guess they want you to work when it is, and i found it hard to have a family life with that type of mentality. I'll put it to you this way, they were not paying enough to have me flip-flop days. Just some things to consider. I was doing VR/straight typing. I found out really quick that I did not like VR. To each his own though.
Did you search the archives? sm
I did see one positive posting about the company. Maybe no news is good news! The post I saw did say it was a smaller company, so it might be that's it's too small for many people to have had experience there. Good luck!
Do a search of the archives. nm
Trying to search archives for
Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but can't seem to get the archives to work at all, about MDI-MD or anything else for that matter. What I want to know about MDI-MD is whether they require a certain amount of hours per week or could I do as low as 10-15 hours. I appreciate any info. Thanks!
all you have to do is search the archives.

Search the archives, not sure if this is the same ...
company or not, but not too long ago there were a few who posted here about how they don't pay and were going to court over it. Again, check the archives to make sure it is the same.
If you do a search of the archives
you should find them as there has been quite a bit of discussion regarding this company in the past.
Search the archives...
Search the archives, lots on them. Most seem to be
happy there.
You should do a search for comments about JLG in the archives.

I did a search for eTransplus in the archives and it seemed (sm)
they had a problem with running out of work. If you go just above where this post is, next to where it says post a new message and put eTransPlus in the search box there are several posts about them...some of them are from mid to late 2005 though so it might be different now. Good Luck!
Search the archives, nothing good. nm
You can search the archives here. I just checked
and there are pages and pages of recent info, within the last few months. I know I had a bad experience, no work, along with many others, though that situation was rather snowed over by the company. I didn't have time to wait around, that's for sure. I know how hard it is to find the right fit. I'm going thru similar with the line counts - I have an extremely difficult account, and cannot make enough to cover my needs. I'm hanging in there as well, but its so frightening in this economy to try and break away from one thing and get caught in something worse. I, too, used to type easily 300 lph, and now am at about 100 lph, and that is cranking it as well. Like you said, something just doesn't add up right. When you've done this long enough, you get a feel for what you should be doing, right? I either look at my lines every hour, and gasp from shock, or I wait for hours, then look, and nearly faint from shock, and not good shock. Sort of makes me think the unimaginable - going back -- to that place -- but I haven't reached that point yet, but am close. I just don't have the financial backing since leaving MQ to play around much longer. Sorry to turn this into me, rather than you, but I'm going thru the same thing. It seems some do great at MDI, and others do not. Its like a crap shoot, literally, if you pardon my French. It seems that way with most of the companies - you luck out and get a good account and good supe, or you get the opposite. Sort of sounds like MQ, doesn't it??? Scary.
Check archives again, use top search box. (sm)
The top search box brings up boatloads of responses. You have to read through them. When I did it just now, there are pages and pages of negatives, some recent, some old, which implies they are consistently bad. As I have posted more than once in the past, the pay is crappy, the communication is horrible, and the work load unpredictable. Nothing like not being able to make the quota without having to work all night the last few nights of the payperiod (because there's no work available until late evening). They also expect you to work a set schedule, which isn't a true IC, according to the IRS.
Search archives - there was some in the past. SM
I worked there for a very short time several years ago. Then, I had straight typing. They were kind. Platform was similar to Ext. Trustworthy - not. I was cheated lines as in they were taking my spaces and diving in half so I was only getting paid for half of my spaces even though specifics stated double space after a period. Once I figured that out, left with no notice.
I always search archives before posting a ? but...sm
I found nothing - that's the reason for the question! At any rate, I appreciate the posters who did respond honestly and with kindness. Thanks!
You can search the archives for more information.
I had looked up the platform too and I think it's worth a try. Again, I've been on platforms like Escription which I averaged $30 an hour on and others have said they were starving. So, again, I think it is also up to the person.
That's strange, my search of the archives only
brought up positive replys from 2006.
I like them. Do a search of archives...plenty of info.
.
Search the archives, lots of info on them.
search archives for more detailed info (sm)
I've had a great experience with WebMedX - lots of work, great pay, cool people, nothing to complain about at all.
Go to the bottom of this page and search the archives, hit Control-F for Find and type in WebMedX and you'll find a lot more information and opinions.
I did an archives search and this question has been asked
a few times over the past year without any response. I went to their website and really no info ordered. There is also a Q-Med in India and I wonder if they are connected.
On their website there is no link for MTs with any information as there is on most company websites.
Any info on AllType? Search archives, but no
I see they have several ads posted, but I've not seen any info pro or con on them.
Oh, yeah, remember, to search archives
just go to top of page on this forum, Company board, and type in MDI-MD in Google box. Then be sure you have your setting on search archives and click. You should pull up tons of threads. Otherwise, you can leave search the internet checked, and you also get lots of hits there, too. I just checked to be sure. Or, since a lot are recent, go to the bottom and go page by page, using your Control F feature, again typing in MDI-MD, and you can search quickly thru posts that have not been archived yet. Basically, you get trained and then type 5 jobs a day for a month or so until released from QA hold. I think those were the stats. They use C-phones for most accounts, which you have to lease if you don't own one or want to buy. I know there were a bunch of MTs hired the last few months, with most trainees posting on here that they did not even get 5 jobs a day to train on. It was a mess. That was really lame to me, and not a good sign. Bad enough you're only allowed 5 jobs a day, and then they don't have that? Wowza. So, if that would be your only gig for a month, you might want to think twice. Also, they have a 24-hour window with a free schedule, but during the training, you have to commit to certain hours, and can't work certain days as QA is off, etc. Lots of complicated hoops to get thru at first, for a job that was supposed to be not complicated with no schedule. Some claim to have made it thru this process OK and are happy, but others claimed to have made it thru process and still had no work. Since the happy folks don't seem around much anymore, I have a feeling that things might not have gone as well as they were cheering. Or, one could guess that they are now so happy and busy that they don't have time to come here anymore, but, I don't think so. I only see 1 or 2 regular happy posters these days, so one can only speculate.
Search the archives back for the few months.
There' s lots of info on SoftScript. In my opinion, not a good place to work and I'm glad I didn't accept their offer.
Do a search of the forum archives here before you ever apply with them.

Search the archives, there is loads of information
on this company, IF it is the one out of Fort Mill, SC, and none of the information is good, bouncing checks, no pay, etc., etc., etc.
Definitely search archives. Its posted frequently. I know its AOL, and some combo of her name! Try
a search of archives on Keystrokes! Good luck!
search archives, couple good, mostly negative

Thanks. I did search the archives, but didn't find the answers (SM)
to my specific questions. That is why I posted.
Softscript has a very poor reputation. Search the archives and you will see negative info going way
l
Indian company. If you'll search the archives lots of info
on them.
Read the archives. Hardly a day goes by that
someone asks info on a company that was just discussed the day before. There are other forums besides this one too where you can get info on companies. Post your resume on the various job boards. There are companies that do not post ads but hire from the resumes. My current position I was hired from my resume and I have been offered a couple of other positions from companies who contacted me from my resume who did not post ads.
I work for a good company and honestly they are not hiring. Other MTs do seem to get upset when people will not tell them what company they work for. I don't believe they are afraid of losing their job to someone else (at least for the most part I don't), but they don't want the company to overhire. There are many posts on the boards about people not having work for days on end because companies are overhiring.
All you have to do is read the archives.
Overall it seems that most MTs are very happy. BTW I am not a TT MT.
Read through the archives. There have
been posts about them just above every well. They are an Indian run company.
Read the archives. I did QA and did not like it.

Read the archives and then RUN.

Why not read the archives?
If you read through the archives you'll see not
much good about this company, especially from people who refused to listen to the issues that others had and went to work for them anyway. They offshore big time, constant turnover. I wouldn't consider it.
They were actually one of the companies I was looking at until I read the archives..it seems
they haven't changed at all with the negative responses this time around. Thanks for the warnings!
If you read the archives you should find what you are looking for, although
you won't find much good about them.
If you read the archives you won't find much
good about them. They switch you from account to account. They have had management problems for many years. Their line counting is difficult to figure out and they dock you for lots of things. They also offshore and are currently training women in Trinidad and somewhere else so you know what that means. Some of their accounts are teaching hospital and I worked on one of them and the dictation quality was horrendous. If you're a newbie I doubt they'd put you on it though.
There are worse companies out there, but I still wouldn't recommend TRS.
Read the archives. Someone else just asked about
them this week. They are not a good company.
Read the archives. Lots there, most of it not
good. Someone else asked about them this week so scroll through the board.
Read the archives. Someone asks about them
almost daily.
read the archives. also, low work
times outside of the holidays is just plain poor staffing, which can be done so that everyone has enough and the work is kept up. It has been done. Problem is, getting people to do more when there is a slam. No incentives for it? they won't come through. company solution? overhire.
Plenty of bad if you read the archives, but the
fact that they offshore so much is enough to keep me away.
If you read the posts in the archives you
will run as fast as you can. They are not are reputable company and I'm not even sure they are a transcription company at all, but a front just to rob you blind. We call them TransScam.
There are multiple unresolved complaints with the BBB.
