You have a chip on your shoulder.

If you take 5 cpl and work set hours as an IC, then the MTSOs think everyone is willing to accept that and it makes us all look bad like we don't know what we're doing.  It is no different than offshoring in my opinion.  Offshore MTs will accept very little per line and work endlessly.  If every American MT decided to let MTSOs make demands on us as ICs, then we are giving in and have no reason to gripe about offshoring.  Does that explain it to ya' a little better?

It's the same as underbidding.  If the MTSO can get away with it, they will, because in the long run they save money.  Think about it for a minute and it will make sense.

Chip on your shoulder?
I was an MT in a hospital for 29 years. That doesn't mean I know everything or have experience in every field. 28 of those years were in Radiology and 1 in Medical Records. In radiology we did not type cardio ultrasounds. That was done in cardio. We didn't have PET scanners yet so I have no experience in that. Some hospitals don't have MRI or CT's. Yes, I think you are out of line. They are not mind readers.
Please take the chip off of your shoulder ...

As I've stated, I'm only sharing my experience with Precyse and have acknowledged that the experience of others may be different.

To answer your question, I don't REFUSE to do ASR.  In fact, I'd like the opportunity to give it a try, but because I haven't been able to make my minimum line requirements in a while for the reasons that I've already stated it hasn't been extended to me.

To address your statement that Precyse must not be all that bad because I'm still there, I didn't say it was 'all that bad.'  My focus was on the fact that I, and others that I know of, are not making a decent living wage there.  They have great managers, good team spirit, they treat their MT's with courtesy and respect, and have good affordable benefits in respect to the rest of the industry.  I, though, have just not found the money to be there.

The OP asked for experiences and I gave her mine as honestly as I could.

Chip on your shoulder (sm)
Your words, such as QA, being QA, was having their version of fun, are very telling about you. Sorry, you lost your credibility with statements like that. They show a definite attitude about QA before you even receive any edits.
Did someone knock a chip off your shoulder?
kisses and hugs
Doesn't that chip on your shoulder ever get heavy?
Maybe you should consider a career change. Being locked up all day away from the real world has obviously made you bitter and a tad dillusional. Have you considered counseling?
Tell me about it! My chip grew into a block and the
