you are talking about as far as the reviewers on the Merit side... that is the very job I left to become a lead MT on the Dictaphone side....I did hear about their cut in pay.. and being changed to production.. and was not sure how they were doing... I enjoyed working on Merit when I did.. it was less mind draining for some reason...
I am convinced that the reason you feel 8 hours is 10 hours anymore.. is becasue it is just that.. BUT.. neither Medware or any other company in the US has the option to decide what labor they will pay for and what labor they will not pay for.. it is the law that all labor is paid for.. and somewhere along the line... they have gotten a little confused about the difference between work time.. and non work time.. I am not totally sure if the time is counted the same as on the Dictaphone side.. but I do know.. you are right.. it is measured by keyboard interaction only... and ONLY in the body of the document. .. I am no accountant.. and not a math whiz... but being that I KNOW all the other things these MTs did outside of that report that were work tasks... it is very easy to add together what has been going on. And then the harrassment that some of these girls got if their time came out to 31.5 hours.. and were threatend with losing their medical benefit for not making up to that 32... even though they worked OVER THEIR 40 hours that week and did more lines thanr required.. yes.. pretty sad..
