If you feel you are so right what is the purpose of this board that is provided for us?  I grant you should have open communication with your supervisors, but in the past this board has helped tremendously with some issues.  there's nothing wrong with asking more than 1 person until you can get your supervisor to answer. you may get some insight from someone as a MT.  You just never know the reason why that person may be asking here.  Try to be positive!

While I do not disagree with some of your points, I am not sure what you hoped to gain by posting all of this.  The ones you address almost certainly will not recognize themselves, and even if they do, they will not change.  And for those of us who are NOT that way and do strive to be the best we can be in all respects, it is just a stating of the obvious. 

I am an old timer too, although I hate to think of myself in such unflattering terms.  I started with carbon paper and a Selectric typewriter, transcribing dictation from vinyl belts.  I do NOT long for the good old days in that respect, although I do miss the days when line rates were higher and being paid by the gross line was the norm ... sigh.

As we all know, the times are tough now in the MT industry, and it seems we would be best served to help and support one another rather than chastising and scolding others for their posts.  Of course, as I type this, I realize my post could be seen that way as well, and for that I apologize.  I very much believe in the laws of attraction and the power of positive thinking, and I have never seen negative energy attract anything other than more negative energy.

I cannot seem to sleep tonight, so I guess I might as well transcribe a bit more and make my insomnia profitable.  

need to keep from naming names.  I thought it was an informative bit of information, but when you name names, then posts are way out of line. 

I would really like to see a truly professional way of talking about a company.  I don't care what board you go to, somehow people just do not want to play nice when it comes to talking about people.  If those people could learn to be a little more professional and stop posting names to their wrath or anger, then that will be the day I can say I am proud to be in this profession.  When I see those types of things, it makes my skin crawl.  If it were me being talked about, I would be livid.  I certainly understand why the posts were deleted.

Is it PD, MB, Flossie, or one of the lower level cronies that they put up to it?  My guess is that it's Flossie, but it could be any of them.

Could they be any more transparent?

I am not pro-MT or pro-MTSO.  I am a person who tries to treat people fairly and wants to be treated fairly myself. 

To the person who got fired:  Why in heaven's name would a company keep someone who makes errors, apparently consistently, takes off at the last minute and has problems?  The bottom line is THEIR credibility suffers for your actions and they are a business.  I'm sure everyone is sorry your are having problems in your life but come on!  How long is someone supposed to wait around until you get your life together?  You really expected that?  You said, they knew I was having problems and that things would turn around?  Say what???!!!!

Like I said, sorry you are having problems in your life but the world still goes on.  The place you worked for very well could have said they don't want work produced by you.  Why would they?  By your own admission, there were errors, glaring enough that the MTSO and the place you typed for couldn't take a chance with you anymore. 

This is what's wrong with the world today.  Everyone wants not just a second chance, but a 3rd, 4th, etc.  Let me say that no one can put up with mistake after mistake in a MEDICAL report.  It just can't happen, no matter what the reason.  While I'd be upset if this happened to me, I'd realize it was my own fault and take responsibility for it.  Why blame the company for your actions?  Get your act together and if you are as good as you think you are, you will surely find something else. 

make this observation about V.  I have known and worked with her and have followed her career and she is one of the best MTs, QA persons, knows-about-the-MT-business world people I've known (and I've known her for 10 years).  I also know she has solid backing from a number (not just 1 or 2) of well-known MTSOs and she would not have that if these allegations were true.  I doubt those who put her down will find jobs with several of those MTSOs because of their loyalty to her.  Her dedication to this profession cannot be questioned unless it is by someone who comes across poorly, IMO.

wages only pay what the market will bear. If no one will work for 6-7 cpl, you won't see ads for that. However, I will tell you there are plenty of experienced people with good skills who are willing to work for that. But you don't have to...at least as long as you can get better!

Joy is her name.  I am very disappointed that people do hardworking MTs like this.
