Yes, you can discuss anything UNTIL it rises to the level of libel.

Do you have any idea the damage some of these vicious and unfounded rumors and innuendos can cause a company? Do you really want to place yourself at that kind of jeopardy? Why should a company sit back and take it? Stating an opinion is one thing, but stating something as a fact when you truly have no idea what you're talking about is another thing. Gimme a break!

CrankyBeach, how can I be laughing even as my BP rises?
I've of course had the insurance company experience with an illness of our own, so your too-vibrant description of doing it all day has my stress level leaping even as I relax waiting for my smothered chicken to finish. Never on this earth. Maybe in the afterlife if I'm very bad.
You cannot and will not...yet here you are! This is what is libel
but we will always do what is right and fair. Integrity is more than just a buzzword at MDI, it is how we chose to conduct ourselves on a daily basis
Integrity is calling your MTs liars?
Why in the world would anybody waste their time to come here and make up a bunch of lies about not having work, seriously, if they were happy and getting work? That just doesn't make any sense to me...anybody else?
I used to think when I saw bad posts on boards like these regarding companies that it was just people with nothing better to do trying to ruin a company's reputation though I could never figure out why somebody would want to do that so I never really had it figured out but then I experienced things at companies that people had posted and warned other MTs about and realized they were not disgruntled idle pot stirrers...they were sister MTs sharing information and seriously trying to guide and help each other so that they didn't make the same mistakes or whatever (or just looking for a reality check or support GASP!)because one bad decision, one wrong turn accepting the wrong job can make the difference between keeping their lights on! It's important.
This board is for MTs to help each other and for you to come on here and call them all liars just shows what kind of person you are in my opinion and you are the recruiter/director? I don't think there was any name calling before you disrepected your MTs calling them liars. If you are so positive that every single account at MDI is busy and every MT has plenty of work and every MT is happy and anybody who works for you who says differently is lying, then why invite them to write you about what their problem is in the firt place? You would already know for sure they are just liars right and they are perfectly fine in their jobs with enough work and happy? It is obviously a ploy to find out who they are so you can weed them out for daring to come here for support and advice or maybe you do know there are issues and you just want to discuss them privately (and will hopefully help them instead of harrass them). Good start to say okay liars write me... I bet you will get a lot of responses that way.
That's just my 2 cents after reading all of these posts though. Your post just seems so extremly condescending to your employees, that there must be some truth to what they are saying somewhere. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck then....
You are committing libel against MTStars. sm
MTStars does not provide ANY information on any poster to any individual or company.
If you receive an email through the MTStars board, the ONLY way your email address is exposed is if you respond back to them.
MTStars Team
If the allegations are true, there is no libel ....
Libel is about people making false statments...
Whistleblowers (whose protections have been gutted by the last two administrations) are concerned with revealing the truthful things.
Big difference.
I have no opinion on the truthfulness of Gourd Painter or any of the other relevant posters' allegations.
They have a low level 4, high level 4 and level 5.
nm
Level 2 is clinic and level 3
Level 1 is ER work. It's ER, but I get a great line count. Plenty of macros and normals, we are paid for all of them.
That would be something you would have to discuss with them.
I am not sure if all are done the same way and do not want to give out incorrect info.
Did you discuss this at all with them,
especially if you had no way of knowing client specifics and could not get them on your own?? If they were available to you, that might be a different story however.
If you would like to email me, we can discuss more.
.
Discuss MQ on the MQ board, please. (NM)
Goldbird
Well, so then why do you care if we discuss it again?
?
Why are we allowed to discuss MQ's
pending lawsuits but not KS's?
We can't discuss it on MT Stars
NM
We can discuss whose behavior is sad
And if you aren't familiar with the word Hades, which gets through the word censors when it's other more common alliteration does not, then perhaps you should read more rather than spend your time on the board star gazing.
I removed it; please do not discuss other websites here. (NM)

We aren't supposed to discuss our pay,
without my name here, please don't email me, I make 9 cents a line inpatient trancsription.
you just don't discuss pay. Ranges maybe, but not actual pay (sm)
As with every company that I know of, there are big ranges in pay, and it just should not be discussed on a public forum, or actually even with people you know. Not everyone may be offered the same thing and it causes too many problems. Any professional person would know this, no matter what field you are in.
I'd talk to the Nat'l first and discuss what would make that a better job sm
for you. I always try to make things better before making a decision.
The board fills up when MTs try to discuss TT because
management & a couple of cheerleaders, but mostly management I believe, literally freak on every single post rather than just letting the MTs have a discussion. If I owned TT, I would request those few stop acting like that & let the MTs have their own honest discussions on this public board without interference. It's so silly.
Why not just bring up another topic to discuss sm
and let them bicker amongst themelves in the their own threads? Seems a whole lot easier just to start a totally new thread. No one is obligated to read their posts.
That is just silly. People discuss pay all the time.

Posts below don't discuss platform specifics...nm
did you read them?
Still hoping for some information on platform from someone who works there. Thanks.
I never ever discuss pay of any kind, just not a good idea
because what one person gets paid may not be the same as another and it can cause hurt feelings and problems. I will tell you that the downtime pay is the same as vacation pay - LOL.
Probably getting together to discuss line rate cuts. nm

People discuss line rates, yes, but pay, I still say is not professional
nm
please feel free to submit your resume and we can discuss all of the above/below :)

level 1 - mt
I need to be taken under someones wing i am a stuggling MT trying to improve my skills. My accuracy level is less than 90 percent can someone help me get going and get out of this catch 22. I only have dial -up access. Nothing else is available.
I'm a level 8. sm
I tested very well and negotiated the level 8 rate. I honestly do not know how common it is, but I'd encourage you to give it a try. =)
You would probably be a level 8 or 9, between 9-10 cpl. nm
xxxx
Top pay level
is .10/line. There are additional incentives such as for weekends, etc.
entry level
any 1 know of entry level MT jobs in centrl txs or at hme..???
Entry level
Has anyone received a response from the entry level position on a pediatric account with Medtransolutions?
What level work was that for? sm
Clinic or acute care? What level? TIA
entry level
I'm thinking about getting my MT certificate and need some advice. Is it hard to find work as an entry level mt? Also, does it matter where I get my certificate (at home or reg classroom)? Do most companies have set hours or do you work when you want? I'm really excited about this new career! Any advise?
level of testing
Can someone tell me type of radiology testing given by Keystrokes, (written, typing test, verbal)...do they have benefits...take out taxes, etc?. I am thinking seriously about applying if only to do part-time work for a while to see how things pan out.
Why entry level only?
I see where World Wide Dictation is looking for entry level transcriptionists to do non-medical work.....insurance claims, paying up to 9.5 cpl. Why only entry level? If it's such simple work, why not let anyone in who is willing to do it for the amount offered?
I was just hired as a level IV...sm
The recruiter said level IV was acute care with ops and 30-40% ESL dictation.
Not sure what any of the other levels are though. Sorry!
They have NO level 5 accounts, though, never have.
x
What level were you hired at? sm
I was recently hired as an Acute Care Level IV, so I'm anxious to see what the ESL load looks like too. The recruiter said 30-40%, but then she also said it could be less than that. I'm hoping for the latter!!!
MQ has a tier 3 level that is only Ops
nm
Level 3 work
Does anyone else feel this way? I'm a longtime acute care MT. I always work my schedule, including weekends and holidays, have 98% to 99% accuracy. I left MQ because of the changes; for years I averaged 200-250 lph and net $600. per week. Then they changed platforms and I got nothing but ESL, mealymouths and static. My income dropped in half and my stress level doubled. I went to a company that has gotten rave reviews on this board and was put on a good account with fair line counts. Then it began running out of work just as I was starting to see decent money. They put me on a backup account (which is all I've been getting for days now, not my primary) and it is nothing but ESLs. I KNOW there are decent dictators at every facility, and I'm willing to do my share of the bad ones, but ALL BAD? What gives? Do they WANT me to quit? I'm not complaining so don't jump all over me. I'm just curious if others are noticing this too.
What is a level 2 MT at Mescribe
I was told if I took the position with them I would be a level 2 MT. I asked the recruiter what was a level 2 MT. He said he would have to get back with me after Easter break. I know they have clinic MTs, ER MTs and Acute care MTs. Can someone clarify for me what a level 2 MT is at Medscribe. Thanks
Level 3 MTs at my old co. used to have to do 1700 (sm)
But that was only the level 3/CMT equivalent employees. Level 2's had to do 1400 and level 1's 1200. Pay scale was per level, so if you were paid more you had to produce more.
I wasn't crazy about it.
MT entry level?
Lately I have read where companies offering you an MT position and then say you have an opportunity for advancement. This really ticks me off!! I Love being an MT, have always felt that an Acute Care/Hospital Medical Transcriptionist was at the top. I personally would not want a QA or administration position and certainly do not feel I would be making a move up…at the absolute least it would be just a different move.
The only thing I do not like about being an MT is that most companies don't give raises if you get paid per line or are an IC. I have been doing this for 12+ years and companies want to pay the same rates per line as 12 years ago. The only way to make more money is to type faster and/or more hours. They have forget about the cost of living that keeps going up.
Wrong on only maybe one level, but probably right on all!
ePLDT, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT
The above is one of their partners. Obviously they are not based in America.
The above is from their site, just Google Spi and click on partners. I am wrong that they are the i service connected to the Philippines, not Korea. The other i service is connected to and with management in Korea. Gotta look out for those i guys, I guess. Korea, Phillipines, who cares? They are offshore. They are not our buddies.
I too type Indian doctors, but they speak English (or attempt to in some cases).
Thanks for the comments though. Are, is, who cares? That is what happens when you type stuff here on your break.
i am not the OP, but I am high level 4, and all of my 4 SM
accounts are in OT now. My account is considered 70% to 90% ESL. So that is just what I have experienced here lately. I suppose you are right about it depending on the level and worktypes that you can do. Definitely talk to the STM, as they are always willing to help you out if they can. Good luck!
Does anyone ever hire entry level MT?
Hi all, I was wondering if there is any company out there hiring for entry level MTs. I have the Medical background and the typing skills. I'm a fast learner and looking to work at home as an MT. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks
Laurie
Some are tied to QA level, some aren't. sm
But they are very good people and reserve the right to pay you the bonus even if you don't make the QA standard if there is an extenuating circumstance (new account, stuff like that). They have paid me for things like lost documents, etc., so they are not difficult on paying people.
did they mention anything higher than level IV? sm
for higher percentage of ESLs?
What's the difference between low and high level 4?
Just curious what to expect.
Thanks!
I left MQ and went to work for them. I am level 8 SM
and on an account with lots of ESLs and started out doing DS which for me, not very productive. I put in my 2 weeks notice, and told my team leader why.
