Been there forever
Be patient with the recruiter. Send her an email and tell her you're ready, willing, and eager to get started. I always have work. Very professional. Pay ALWAYS on time. Just a lot of changes going on with the MT profession in general. Before anyone says it...I'm not management...just happy MT.
7 or 8 cpl, period, forever. nm

i won't keep this pace forever...
but it is allowing me to pay off my house before we retire, have nice vacations ... live! I got sick of existing and busting my ass is the only way to get anywhere. Nobody is just going to GIVE us life .. you have to grab it, shake it, choke it and then ride it for 8 seconds.
The forever changing AS...
They aren't asking you to do this forever either, are they? sm
Looks like a temporary bind in schedule coverage and you'll be able to take a weekend day off later, after your boss gets better coverage. Doesn't seem threatening to me; he or she is asking for your help.
I've been doing this forever (sm)
I started in-house in 1980 and have been at it ever since except for a brief break in about 1995 when I actually (gasp) missed it. My first company job was with TL in a little office they had in Florida. I hadn't thought about them in years. I hate this business, hate it, hate it, hate it, especially since it has changed so much and is crappy for the MTs now, but it's the only thing I know how to do where I can make this kind of money. I regret ever having gotten started in this business.
It's been said in the past that pay stays at 7 to 8 cpl forever. nm

Taking FOREVER to get started
Seriously a month. I'm still waiting for all the logins from the hospital. Not Keystrokes fault but I'm starving here.
Not all managers stay forever with OSI and no ax to grind
:)
Nothing good lasts forever. Follow the sm
account to the new national. If you're a good, nontoxic MT, I'm sure you'll get hired in a heartbeat!
Can you provide us with the name of the new national? You seem to be privy of a lot more information than the rest of us.
Thanks.
Forever, people had 2 jobs, not just MTs. And great
This is what i mean by you pilot your life, your life shouldnt just be floating you thru life. Over the course of about 2 years, I have made conscious effort to make my life work for me. Figured out what platforms I like, what type accts. What kind of equipment works best for me, how to efficiently handle docs and files. In word based platform, I am Speedy Gonzales as far as how I get in and out, how I process docs. Still spend same amount of time on actual edit and type, those you can only do so fast and be correct but all other aspects, I am fast. You find your fit, which is not a one size fits all. But, working 2 jobs is not the territory of onlyl the MT world. My dad did it while my mom also worked as RN.
I did an acct like that moons ago. It seemed like I was typing forever. Forget it! nm

Sorry dear. Been at this forever..test was not basic knowledge....
Some of it was stuff you'd never come across in 20 years of doing this job, not even once. lol
I typed on a line that long way back when. Would NEVER do it again. Takes forever

Hate the day after a holiday for work -- seems like it takes forever to get my account back up to
speed and getting work available. Oh, well, I'm just venting this morning because I don't have any work and guess I should be cleaning house instead of sitting on here being frustrated about it. Have a good one!
