I moved to the rural area at a better time in medical transcription. As to what I do and don't complain about, you really have no idea, and again it reeks of sanctimony to presume you know anything about me because I bemoan the loss of MT as the viable 'career' it once was. I've served a lot of time in this industry, going all the way back to typewriters and Wang Word Processors. I don't complain about the dictators I get nor do I complain about actually working, but if in your world it's okay to have to be virtually on-call 24/7 so that you can make your line count despite no work during scheduled shifts on scheduled days, I guess you and your cats will be very happy in your twilight years. As for me, it saddens me that in order to maintain a very meager lifestyle, I can't be away from my desk for more than the 6 hours I sleep a night just in case work may show up.
But good for you and your non-complaining attitude, Shuvinder. As long as you keep your nose in that dark hole, I'm sure you'll remain a happy gal in rose-colored glasses.
