Yes and no

In Reply to: OT isn't something you can count on. Are you planning - to count on OT in a job? Not smart.
I work for a large hospital. We currently have 14 transcriptionists and are paid hourly but we have a lot of OT and that is why we are being outsourced this fall (to save money). I want to go with the national company but only if I can make the same as I make right now. Or I can go to work for another hospital close by for an hourly wage but not much OT. I am not allowed to say the name of the new company but wanted to know if some companies have more OT than others. I have not worked for a national company before but have been reading the forums about OT. Does this make sense? Do I stay locally for a pay cut and hourly wage or go with a national company where I have a good chance of making OT especially if it is the one that is taking over our accounts.
