In Reply to: Does anyone have XP installed on their Vista computer? - me
I did this on a new computer I bought. We tried installing over it a couple of times and after several hours this did not work. What we had to do was delete Vista and then install XP. I can't remember the exact screen but look up delete vista from your computer in Google and you'll see the tech page, that's what we did. Once I deleted it, XP went on with no problem. One warning though, save your internet set up to disk because it won't be there when you get done. I had to take mine to a local guy and pay 20.00 to get it put on. The drivers won't be there either, but there is an on-line driver service that will check your system once you have internet and put on all the drivers you need. These are subscription services but totally worth it because they will do updates later on as well.
Everybody says to format, that did NOT work, only deleting it worked.
